Career › Re: Should I Quit My Job Now And Get Over N8m Payoff? by BobbyDean(m): 2:49pm On Jul 25, 2015 |
That's a giant leap you wanna take, it comes with the good and bad actually. The good: you get too be your own boss and that way you're striding towards your aspirations. The bad: risk of mismanagement of funds as an entrepreneur+if you do your maths right, you will probably earn that 8m from your current work in less than 4yrs. My humble opinion is you get yourself a side hustle(your own investment if you dont have 1 already and if you do, start making efforts to retire to that). That way you might earn money in two ways |

Y'all know that American hit song 'Trap Queen', is set to have, guess who! Star Boy Wizkid, C city's finest Iceprince Zamani and O.B.O. Baddest on its Afro remix. The annoucement was made by Iceprince through a snippet he posted on IG. Davido seems to have confirmed the news on his IG account too. We hope the Afro remix surmounts the success of the original version.

Chelsea is the only club in England that loves African players to the core. that's why I'm BLUES.... so how come Kanu, Adebayor, k.Toure and the likes played for arsenal? |
Romance › Re: Ladies What Qualities Do You Look Out For In A Man? by BobbyDean(m): 2:51pm On Mar 27, 2015 |
Ishilove: What do I look out for in a man?
Physical Appearance: I'm not too keen on physical appearance. Just be neat and well groomed, no mouth/body odour. I remember about eight years back, in my undergraduate days, one nigga came a'toasting. Sweet Jesus, how his breath stunk.
Tall, well built, dark complexion with very thick lips, the kind my Yoruba brethren will call 'ete jumkpai' or 'etelombolo'. When he opened his mouth to start the toasting, my eyes watered, my nostrils flared and I almost passed out as waves upon waves of dizzying mouth odour washed over me. I was traumatised for weeks.
There's something called mouthwash, guys. It helps alleviate gangster halitosis. Seriously.
Deodorants help too. Don't approach a lady smelling 'mannish'. You know that man smell; a combination of armpits and sweat smell. Rather unpleasant.
Guys, Nivea deodorant is just 350 naira. Abeg!
Finance: Money isn't everything. Just have a stable source of income. Shove your big dreams and empty pockets up a rat's raggedy buttocks. STABLE source of income is what will reassure a lady. You don't have to be a millionaire, but have something that will ensure your family don't die of kwashiokor because they are forced to drink garri 24/7.
Spirituality: I speak for myself alone. I want me a prayer warrior. It is important your partner knows the things of the spirit, and does not leave the weight of spiritual responsibility for you to carry alone.
Character: Respectful and responsible. A verbally abusive man is a no-no for me. I speak for myself alone though.
Some ladies don't see anything with a verbally abusive or bossy man. I think the term they call it is 'submissiveness'.
Emotional strength: Mild mannered, easy going. No childish tantrums for me. I will verbally whip you to pieces if you do that near me.
I think that does it.
Nobody is perfect though. You first of all have to love yourself and work on yourself before thinking of others. i like this gal. No fronting, just straight up |

Family › Re: Is A Party Really Necessary? by BobbyDean(op): 5:44pm On Aug 20, 2014 |
itstpia1: you've mentioned various things which to you, are reasons why some unnamed people should call off, or not do, whichever celebration you are talking about.
so, sounds like you are the culprit here.
your friend went further and included other occasions, etc, in your list.
in africa, living to an old age is cause for celebration, thats why you see people celebrating such. Whether they can afford to or not, is another matter, you did not think to make mention of that in your objections, instead you kept rambling vaguely and could not pinpoint what exactly you are trying to say.
personally, if something is not my business, i dont carry it on my head. as for the culprit ish, no am not. No one is hawking anything here+ i only wrote against the burial stuff. You know what, whatever! |

Family › Re: Is A Party Really Necessary? by BobbyDean(op): 5:25pm On Aug 20, 2014 |
itstpia1: if your culture calls for you spending such and such on burials, then you are free to refuse or do so, its your decision.
if the people involved know they have kids and family to cater for, what exactly is your own business there? Dont you have your own issues to face?
the only reason why i can understand your ameboish rants, is if you say there is a security or ebola problem involved in celebrations.
If thats the case, say it out in plain language instead of going on and on about nothing. i think the post said something into your ears cos you argue as if i called your name. I get your point tho. But i think we should sometime follow our mind rather than some lame culture. #justsaying |
Family › Re: Is A Party Really Necessary? by BobbyDean(op): 5:12pm On Aug 20, 2014 |
itstpia1: What exactly concerns you?
If people want to celebrate, what is it to you?
What are the pressing matters that concern you more than them? i didnt say they should not 'celebrate' and i didnt say those matter are pressing to me. Imagine spending an awful lot of money on burial ceremony when you have kids & family to cater for. And my post was just an opinion not a decree! |

Family › Re: Is A Party Really Necessary? by BobbyDean(op): 10:09pm On Aug 19, 2014 |
itstpia1: Even the bible says people will be marrying, giving in marriage, holding whatever ceremonies they need to, till the end of the world.
So, if you are going to end the world because you do not like people having a party or whatever, go ahead and do so, but do not, under any circumstances, attempt to harm individuals because of your jealousy.
That will not work. celebrate even when you have other pressing matters? Aiit |
Family › Re: Is A Party Really Necessary? by BobbyDean(op): 10:06pm On Aug 19, 2014 |
itstpia1: Just because you disapprove for whatever reason, doesn't mean people should not do what they feel they need to do at some point in time. As long as its not illegal.
Its wrong to dictate to others as if you are God, just trying to control their lives for no other reason besides bad belle.
If it even stops at bad belle alone, that is manageable, what I would strongly have issues with, are attempts to go beyond bad bele and physically harm people out of envy.
That, is a sin which anyone indulging in, will pay for.
Guaranteed. better read well before saying nonsense. Did i say it's a crime. Well i know your type |
