My Toshiba laptop only shows charging indicator light but does not actually charge. It turns on when plugged at times for like 5 seconds and turns off again. I changed RAM but probkem still persists. I think is has to do with d power or so.

Bro,it's just that the charging indicator only turns on. The laptop is not powered. It comes on at times and works for like 5 seconds before going off again.
Me think that current is not supply to the power at all. Because it does not power on when plugged directly to power source if battery is removed.
Maybe an IC that supplies current to power is burnt or what?

The MultiNational Joint Taskforce (MNJTF), on Thursday captured and occupied Damasak, a town in the North-East state of Borno, authorities said.
Damasak is a boundary town between Nigeria and Niger Republic and is located in Northern Borno. It is one of the last frontiers of the Boko Haram terrorists.
The Chief Military Public Information Officer and spokesperson of MNJTF, Muhammad Dole, in a brief statement to PRNigeria, said the troops also cleared the terrorists from the surrounding villages.
“In continuation with clearance operation of the towns and villages by MNJTF, the troops of Sector 4 in Diffa, Niger Republic successfully cleared Sure village, captured and occupied Damasak town today by 1000hrs.
“The forces are coordinating to stabilize the immediate environs. The gallant troops fought their way into the town with Close Air support by combined Air Operation from MNJTF member states.”
Mr. Dole, a colonel, added, “While Operation Lafiya Dole is conducting operation to link up with Sector 4 at the location, the troops’ morale remains very high.”
The MNJTF is a combined multinational formation, comprising units, mostly military, from Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria. It is headquartered in N’Djamena, Chad, and is mandated to bring an end to the Boko Haram insurgency.

Asaba – The remains of Stephen Keshi, former Super Eagles coach arrived Asaba from Benin by road on Thursday accompanied by his four children and other family members at exactly 4.24pm en route to Illah, his hometown for burial today.
He was brought into the Indoor Sports Hall of the Asaba Township Stadium renamed after him in 2013 at about 4.50pm from a black formatic Benz 500 followed by tributes by officials of the state government.
His first son, Stephen Femi Keshi blasted the Federal Government, saying that “the Nigerian government promised to honour this man and sponsor his burial but has failed to keep to their promises for a man that served this country with so much passion.”
After the short ceremony, President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick was booed on his way out of the venue. One of the boys who accosted him was heard screaming: “you sacked him, you have killed him, now go and squander all the salaries you owed him.”
Those who paid tributes to the former Eagles coach included Delta State Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya and Executive Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, Tony Okowa.
But it was Hon. Onyemaechi Mrakpor representing Aniocha/ Oshimili Federal Constituency who received the loudest applause from the crowd as she also blasted the Federal Government for the poor treatment given to Keshi even in death.
“From the atmosphere in this hall, it is clear that we are not proud of the role Keshi played in this country. Looking at the young ones, we can imagine what is going on in their minds, that there is no reward for excellence in this nation, so what is the future of our youths?”
After that, the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick did not speak. Some of the members of the 1994 World Cup team filed past the casket of their former captain who donned the number 4 Jersey. They included Austin Eguavon, Uche Okechukwu, Mutiu Adekpoju, Aloy Agu and Peter Rufai. Former U-21 coach, Fani Amun, Friday Ekpo and Edema Fuludu were also present but none of Keshi’s players during his time as Super Eagles coach were present.
After lying in state at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Stephen Keshi Stadium, his body will leave Asaba in the early hours of Friday, July 29 for burial at Illah.

Irving, Texas – Freshmen sensation Tobi Amusan was named the 2016 Conference USA Track Athlete of the Year Friday morning. C-USA track and field head coaches from around the league voted on the awards.

“It has been a privilege to see how this young lady has opened up her career her at UTEP,” head coach Mika Laaksonen said. “Tobi is not only a great athlete, but an excellent student as well. We couldn’t have really asked for much more from a freshman student-athlete.”

Amusan becomes only the second athlete for UTEP since it joined C-USA in 2006 to win this prestigious award (Blessing Okagbare/2010). She capped off her spectacular freshman campaign last weekend in Eugene, Ore. at the NCAA Championships with a second-place showing in the 100m hurdles with a wind-aided time of 12.79.

“During the recruiting process, we were told that she is the ‘next Blessing Okagbare,”, Laaksonen mentioned. “When this skinny little girl arrived at UTEP this January, it was kind of difficult to visualize her dominating her competitors the way Blessing did. Now, after her first season here, she has definitely made me a believer.”

Her fastest wind-legal race of the season came at the UTEP Invitational on April 30th. The Nigeria native clocked her best time ever with a readout of 12.83 seconds to take gold. The time was monumental on several different levels: first, it broke Kim Turner’s (12.95) 33-year old school record by .12 seconds. Secondly, it was, at the time, the fourth-fastest time run in the world; the time now ranks 20th quickest in 2016. Thirdly, it was the second-fastest time ever run by an athlete under the age of 20 in the world and is both a Nigerian and African Junior record.






“Her achievement of running the second-fastest 100m hurdle time ever as a junior speaks volumes of Tobi’s abilities as an athlete,” Laaksonen noted.

The school record holder did not lose a 100m hurdle race during the outdoor season until the NCAA Championships; she captured gold at the C-USA Championships (13.06w), UTEP Invitational (12.83), Texas Relays (13.12) and the UTEP Springtime (13.06).

Amusan was named the Freshman of the Meet and High Point Scorer at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships. She took first place in the 100m hurdles, 200m dash (23.27) and second place in the long jump (6.06m) to amass a whopping 28 points. She ranked No. 1 in C-USA Outdoors in the 200m dash (23.27), 100m hurdles (12.83) and No. 2 in the 100m dash (11.50) and No. 3 in the long jump (6.19m).

After arriving in El Paso in mid-January, she sprung right into action for indoor season. She ran eight 60m hurdle races during indoors and she shaved time off of her personal best every race. She peaked at the Conference USA Indoor Championships with the third-best time in school history (8.23) to take gold. She also was able to place seventh in the long jump (5.84m) to earn two additional points. Her 12 total points helped the UTEP women’s team claim its second consecutive C-USA title.

Overall, she won nine events as a freshman between the long jump, 100m hurdles and the 4x100m relay. Amusan is now getting prepped for the IAAF U20 Championships, which will be held in Bydgoszcz, Poland on July 19-24.

“We wish her best of luck at the World Junior Championships this summer and hopes she brings home the gold,” said Laaksonen.
