Wike is very correct on this issue. Atiku's repeated emergence as PDP's candidate is what is largely responsible for the battered state of the party. The party is in ruins. Atiku must step aside if PDP ever wishes to be formidable again.

I really don't blame Wike in that regard. Nobody would face that kind of betrayal and won't go mad. All the Southern governors agreed they'd support only Southern candidates. Northern governors also agreed power should return to the South. Why would Atiku go against that using some stupid Southern governors?
It's premium betrayal and honestly it's not easy to ask Wike to forgive and let go.
I hate his brand of politics, but I admire his grit to get whatever he wants.
Saying Atiku's time is over is in order. He should use whatever he has to pay back the old swine in his coin. Atiku messed up the power rotation and now SW would do 16 years whereas SS and SE are yet to complete any 8 years.

ABUJA: Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Nyesom Wike, has downplayed the chances of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in clinching the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP for the 2027 general election, saying it will simply not happen.


Speaking during a live media parley on Wednesday evening in Abuja, Wike said Atiku had severally presented his blueprint to Nigerians and he had been serially rejected.

Atiku who was the PDP Presidential Candidate in 2023 had recently said if he had won the election, he would have done things differently from President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians would not have been faced with the current level of hardship


Wike said; “Did he (Atiku) not present it (blueprint) before Nigerians? Did Nigerians choose him? He is lobbying for another chance. The chance will not be there. In which party? How can we use one man for how many years?

“Look at America, I am sure you all did not support Trump saying he is this, he is a racist, he is that, we are crying, Americans were thinking about something else, thinking for the good of their own country made a decision.

“You presented your blueprint in 2023, Nigerians heard you clear and said thank you, but it will not work, we will not support you. Criticisms do not mean opposition is working”

I don't believe in one Nigeria as well. I don't believe anyone should be forced against their will to live with anyone else, unless they've committed a crime to warrant them losing their freedom to decide where to live.
But that's way different from calling your country a zoo, which indirectly means the inhabitants, good or bad, are animals. It's offensive to say the least.

Eight years time, power shift to Edo north and you think he dont stand a chance to be governor. Outside death, the only two people who can denied him to rule our state are senator Oshiomole and governor Okpeboho if they fallout with him and I don't for see it cos he will play his card well. He is loved by Apc family from national to state and local government level. He has the political network and popularity to win governorship election in future. He was a performer as house of assembly member back then cos you see his projects in his constituency. Currently he stand taller than any politicians from Edo north who will be hoping to be next governor. Age is also on his side too.
