Under this calamitous Tinubu regime, the middle class has been completely wiped out. It's either you are rich or poor, there is no middle class.

PoliticsMy Administration Is Pulling Nigeria Back To Prosperity — Tinubu by Bobloco(op): 5:33am On Nov 13, 2024
President Bola Tinubu has said that his administration is pulling the country back from economic collapse, adding that Nigeria is gravitating towards growth and development again following his proactive reforms.

He revealed that his administration was aware of the daunting and enormous challenges confronting the country prior to his coming into office, hence, his administration resolve to embark on aggressive several reforms that would salvage the situation.

Tinubu stated this during the inauguration of the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Dennis Idahosa on Tuesday in Benin, the Edo State capital.

Represented by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the president said that central to the development thus far recorded by his administration is Edo State who according to himself has elected leaders who have oftentimes developed capacities to better the people.

He said, “When we took office, we knew the sincerity of our economy, we demanded serious reform of fiscal and monetary peace and stability of this nation. We have embarked on these reforms with determination to lay a foundation for opportunities.

“Today, we see leaders of integrity who laid this foundation to benefit the people. I am proud Edo State has chosen such men to lead the charge forward.

The journey before us transcends partisan lines. We need people that would render service to our people. And no political party has managed the affairs of unity and purpose of our people than the APC since we take charge.

“Edo State central to this progress has elected a leader whose knows the prains and the feelings of the people, ranging from hospitals and schools to roads and infrastructures that would carry hope into every community.

“A house divided cannot stand. And the APC commitment to harmonious and people-beneficial governance we are providing has assured that we are ready to lead.

“A leader must be diligent to overcome obstacles in to deliver the promises he made to the people. Election is over and any atmosphere that nourishes and acts fascism mentality must be dismantled instantly. While some may want to disrupt peace after the will of the people have been expressed.

“I stand before you today in confidence, knowing that we have weather the harding days as a nation. We have pulled back from the brink of economic collapse and now, we are stepping forward into time of growth.”

Speaking on the inauguration, Tinubu remarked that “We are here because you have spoken eloquently and decisively. You have pointed to the future you desire for this great state and you have chosen the captains of this journey.

“This atmosphere of joy and horn resonates with the voice of the people. This resounding call for a vital tomorrow is what democracy sounds like.

“This is primarily sponsored by the will of the people and no barrier is strong enough to stop those who have chosen their leaders from amongst a multitude of options.

“The election of senator Monday Okpebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa, the Governor and Deputy Governor is not a victory of one man but the achievement of the entire state. The powerful endorsement of your collective will is what democracy means. Every voice contributing will be respected.

“The peoples’ voices that contributed to the ceremony today will be respected. Over 25 years into our democracy, we have evolved and today’s inauguration is another testimony that no individual can hold the collective will of the people perpetually.

“It is often said that an honest leader is going to see the legacy of problems inherit However, what truly defines a leader is not the magnitude of his challenges but the sincerity and courage to confront them.

“It is not fair that we share the future of Edo State but our commitment to the common good of the people, both the supporters and opponents. Though, it may seem daunting to take the risk of power in such a time but I assure you that this is the best moment to serve one’s people.

“For in these uncertain times, the people demand for true leadership is stronger than like ever before. The people of Edo have placed their trust on Monday Okpebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa, leaders who have demonstrated characters and results through their tireless dedication to the development of Edo State.

“This is why we are here. Because the people recognised in our dedication but not only to political victory but to the nation’s progress.

“Today is without doubt, a dawn of a new era for Edo State has begun and I promise that this is not an empty promise. Senator Monday Okpebholo is committed to building Edo State you have envisaged.

“A place where jobs would be plenty, while education is accessible to all, while infrastructure would be within the reach of every citizen. He understands the pains of the people and has the vision to bring those dreams to light.”

Obidients are public enemies of the nation.

I'm an economist, so I'll break it down. If Trump implements tariffs like he has said he will, the price of the dollar will appreciate in response, since tariffs are inflationary and as a result US debt instrument rates will remain high. Nigerians are currently crying about the weaker naira due to Nigeria being so import dependent. Why do obidients/IPOB want to see the economy of this country brought to its knees just because Obi didn't win?
Obidients are not responsible for your frustrations and anger. Tinubu's 'bolekaja' economic policy prescriptions are responsible; kindly channel your frustrations and anger appropriately.

PoliticsAbia Declares Free Education; To Prosecute Defaulting Parents, Guardians by Bobloco(op): 1:02pm On Nov 12, 2024
Abia State government has announced free and compulsory education for all children in the state irrespective of their state of origin.

The free education, which will commence by January 2025, will run from primary one to Junior Secondary School three in all public schools.

The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, disclosed this while briefing the press after the State Executive Council meeting.

He said that parents and guardians who flouted the new policy would face prosecution.

“In line with the Abia Child’s Rights Law 2006, it’s now an offence for parents not to send their children or wards to school because Government has made education free and compulsory,” Kanu warned.

The policy, according to him, is pursuant to the quest by the Governor Alex Otti-led administration, to deliver quality and affordable education to the state.

Also, he said there was no going back on the proposed relocation of the Law Faculty of the Abia State University, Umuahia campus, back to Uturu main campus.

He explained that the decision was taken in the overall public interest.

The Commissioner also announced that contract had been awarded for the rehabilitation of nine additional roads in different parts of the state, and promised to provide details of the new road projects later.

He also disclosed that Government would attend to all issues arising from the implementation of the new minimum wage.

The Commissioner further said that the Governor had directed the Commissioner for Works to effect immediate repairs on the failed portion of the Osisioma ‘fly -over’ built by the immediate-past administration of Gov Okezie Ikpeazu.

He regretted that “the ‘fly-over’ which is the signature project of that administration has started failing within two years”.

Contributing, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma, said that the opening on the ‘fly-over’ was widening and multiple, but “does not pose any immediate threat”.

PoliticsTinubu’s Representation At Arab-islamic Summit Offensive- APC Chieftain by Bobloco(op): 12:26pm On Nov 12, 2024
....also an impeachable offense

Charles Udeogaranya, former All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, has described President Bola Tinubu’s representation at the Arab-Islamic Summit as a gross violation of the Nigerian Constitution.

Vanguard reports that Udeogaranya argued that Nigeria is a secular state, asserting that Tinubu has committed an impeachable offense.

According to him, the President swore to uphold the constitution, emphasizing that Nigeria is neither an Arab nation nor an Islamic nation.

“To, therefore, unilaterally drag Nigeria into Arab and Islamic nation’s affairs is a grievous disparaging of the Nigerian people and its Constitution,” Udeogaranya said.

He further pointed out that Nigeria is predominantly a Christian nation by religion.

The former presidential candidate underscored that such blatant disrespect and disregard for Nigeria’s true position on the international stage is most regrettable.

He advised the National Assembly to caution the President to avoid such actions, emphasizing that most Nigerians are Christians and that Nigerians firmly support Israel in all international matters.

PoliticsRe: Ex-minister Gwarzo Kicks Against Dismissal From Tinubu’s Cabinet by Bobloco(op): 8:15am On Nov 12, 2024
kunle4toyeyaho:
Why would he fail? Because he made pronouncement on subsidy removal which had been effected from 2023 appropriation Act by PMB? Or was it Tinubu that signed PIA into law? Is it because he floated Naira, thereby removing the arbitrage in the sector and allowing Nigeria to defray its debts? Economically, Nigeria is on the right track, although things are tough at the moment.Offsetting FX backlog of $7billlon, raising foreign reserve to near$41billion and repaying 69 different loans obtained by previous governments starting from OBJ are steps in the right direction. The more we want things free, the more it is difficult for us to develop as a nation.God bless Nigeria forever
That is the narrative they keep pushing out to justify their calamitous economic policies that have succeeded in inflicting premium pains, inflicted untold hardships, and caused starvation among the citizens.

I would advise that, for your sanity, you take whatever they tell you with a pinch of salt.

If they explain Nigeria to you and you understand it, then you're a m*d man, bro
