Consider the state to which our security agencies have been reduced under the repressive and authoritarian Tinubu administration.

Institutions originally established to uphold law and order have themselves descended into lawlessness.

Obi also should stop looking for sympathy through his comments on every issue.

Seyi is like a son to him and he should therefore desist from joining issues with him which can make seyi to disrespect him.
Has Seyi respected himself? What position does he currently hold in government? Oh, the position of "First Son" of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Why can’t Seyi emulate Buhari’s son, Yusuf?

Throughout Buhari’s eight-year tenure, did we ever see Yusuf forming a bossy persona, moving in convoys, or intimidating Nigerians?

Why is Seyi everywhere, interfering with governance? Did Nigerians elect him or his father?

Let him run for an elective position instead of constituting a nuisance simply because his father is the president

PoliticsAtiku: Vdm’s Arrest Shows Growing Authoritarianism Of Tinubu’s Regime by Bobloco(op): 8:16pm On May 05, 2025
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has blamed the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration for the arrest and detention of Mr. Martins Vincent Otse, social media commentator known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

VDM was last week arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and has been in custody since then.

In a post on his X handle, on Monday, Atiku said the arrest by the EFCC is another “blatant abuse of power by the Tinubu administration, which has made political repression a hallmark of its rule.”

The opposition leader also lamented that while “security agencies are quick to target dissenters and critics, often in complete disregard of due process, political loyalists with credible allegations of corruption walk free, trading sycophancy for immunity.”

According to Atiku, “The arrest and continued detention of social media influencer and outspoken critic, Mr. Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is yet another blatant abuse of power by the Tinubu administration, which has made political repression a hallmark of its rule.

“Even more alarming is the fact that Mr. Otse remains in custody without any formal charges is a flagrant violation of his constitutional rights and a chilling reminder of the growing authoritarianism under this government.”

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election said the latest episode is part of a disturbing pattern.

“The Tinubu regime’s relentless assault on the fundamental freedoms of Nigerians, particularly those who dare to speak truth to power or align with the political opposition. We must not allow state-sponsored repression to become the defining character of our democracy.

“The Tinubu administration’s systematic crackdown on opposition voices is nothing short of disgraceful. It is an affront to democratic norms and must be fiercely condemned and resisted,” he said.

He is the son of a successful and highly influential man.

That question is asinine.
Son of a notorious narcotics drug trafficker, certificate forger, buccaneering power grabber engaging in criminal state capture

Are you afraid of mentioning that influential man

PressMyButton:
I have noticed this ugly pattern since you came out to admit you had installed a bot to check comments and ban users who are deemed to have committed some infractions. To be honest, you released a bot to keep running after our comments but we don't really know what exactly the kind of comments the bot is reacting to. You don't define it to us, we often find ourselves being banned for reasons not known to us. Is it fair that you have refused to define the kind of comments that attract the bot's ban?.
Back to my main point, I have noticed whenever I mention the name of Petér Öbi in my posts, it is automatically deleted and I'm banned. I can't even talk about Obi in any of my posts since this bot palaver started. Meanwhile, I can mention other names like Tinubu, Atiku and everyother individuals and leave my opinions about them without getting banned but if I did to Óbi, I won't get away with it.
I don't know why and I need to know why that is. Go through my posts and see i have been trying so hard not to mention him lest I get banned. To be honest, it wasn't like this before you unleashed the bot on us. As much as people are free to talk about Tinubu and others, It would rather be unfair to gag us from having an opinion about Óbi.
I want to know why I can't mention Óbi's name and express my opinion about him. I am only speaking for myself in this situation as I do not know the experiences of others, I demand a response as that will determine my final decision.
Are you sure, or are you being haunted by the lies, falsehoods, and propaganda you've been spreading against an innocent man?

In fact, I believe you're haunted and plagued by nightmares

A guy that went to the bank with VDM already came out to say it was DSS that arrested VDM not EFCC.

Meaning his arrest could likely be linked to cybercrime or perhaps cyber bullying.

I have no personal issue with the guy but truth be told, he messed things, complicated things for himself

This is someonw making his choice ahead of the 2027 election but let others make the choice then come n see raw bald headed lunatucs wailing like we all must support n vote the P A N D O R A fraudster n failure by fire by force.
Yes, you have the right to make your own choices, no one can take that from you. But with that right comes responsibility. The choices we make, especially at the ballot box, don’t just affect us they shape the future of millions.

We all remember the decision made in 2023. And today, we are living with the consequences. The policies introduced since then harsh, inhumane, wicked, and draconian disguised as economic reforms have brought nothing but suffering. Hunger is widespread. Families are struggling to survive. Over 75% of Nigerians now live below the poverty line, many in conditions of multi-dimensional poverty.

Our economy, once filled with promise, is no longer among the top ten fastest-growing. Inflation is rising, jobs are vanishing, and hope is fading. This is not just a downturn it is a crisis. And it has a name: the Tinubu administration.

The past two years have been among the darkest in our history. So yes, make your choice but make it wisely. Because next time, it might not just be hardship. It might be something we can’t come back from.
