Please can someone reply me 🙏🙏

They are different, your SOP for visa application will be broader and contain more information. Your personal statement to your school for admission is just to state why and how the school will be beneficial to you and what you are bringing to the school.

Hello everyone, I'm a 41 year old lady married with kids and working with a reputable international company in the market research industry as a data acquisition auditor.
I have a 13 year experience in the industry.

Will these and land be strong enough as home ties to apply to schools in Canada to study data analytics?
Thanks in anticipation of your responses.

The profile is okay, you need to have enough POF to cover the for the yourself and and family member travelling with you. Then use the land and extended family as home ties.

Thanks for your response.
My province is Saskatchewan. Saskatoon in Saskatchewan.
My program is for one year; the total tuition is $20,000 and I’ve paid $10,000 and it’s starting Jan 2024

I’ve reached out to my school if I can split the payment for me and they’re kind of insisting that I have to pay the tuition balance before the start of my program in Jan.

If I can even get a job instantly it would be nice. Cos even the news I’m seeing all over SM is not helping. Of people looking for jobs and can’t find and it would be disastrous being stranded in a new country

Except you give your school a visa denial document, they will not refund your money, those guys are stickler for fine print. I will suggest you explore deferring the start date to a date that is within your entry time. Then do the following
1. Draw your budget for the programme.
2, Reach out to all the people you think can help you raise the funds- remove ego and pride now and ask for anything. Nothing is too small now.
3. If you see where you can borrow the funds from and plead with them for repayment in the future, grab it.
4. If your family has a property that can be sold to raise the funds let them sell so long as it won't make them homeless.
5. If you are a church or mosque person, apply to your either of them and beg them for funds, if they have to go collection for you so be it.

They gave me a fake SOA and I refused to use it so they’re not happy about it

I think you should get a lawyer to write them an official letter requesting them to release the letter to you or you will involve the police.

Guys please I need help. My so called agents has refused to give me my deferral letter to use for my visa application. Is there anyway I can get it myself?

Only the school can give you the letter, but why is the agent refusing to give you the letter?

Please for someone that wants to use a landed property as evidence of hometie, what and what are the documents to submit in relation the land which was given to me by my late mum.

The land should have some documents sales receipts, transfer document etc , which a lawyer can use to draft a deed of assignment for you.

!!!!!!!! PPR ALERT !!!!!!!!!

I got my PPR yesterday evening and I'm so happy and overwhelmed with joy after getting a PFL and almost got a 5 year ban due to chargeback of 185$ fraud committed by my agent in my previous application in 2020.

What God cannot do does not exist this was a miracle!

I want to specifically and specially thank Zubizareta that guy is God sent and Amazing.
He assisted in reviewing my S.O.P
and he also assisted in compressing and uploading my files. I was a total novice and I needed all this assistance...he came through for me. I started the application with a useless agent that kept delaying me untill I reached out to the almighty Zubizareta!!!!!.

Secondly I want to also thank Bobomaigida and zubizareta for also assisting me to review my letter of explanation when I got a PFL and almost landed a 5 year ban.

Timeline.
Sept 7. Submitted my application
Upfront medical passed Sept 24.
PFL (Procedural Fairness) October 6.
Responded to PFL Octotober 9.
PPR & BVL October 12.

-Self-sponspored.
- POF ( 21,000 USD)
- First semester tuition paid

Again Zubizareta is God sent. God used that man for me... I was a total novice with a useless Agent that I paid over 400k ... chaii I will still go and collect my money from that woman.

Thank you Jesus!
Thank you Zubizareta
Thank you Bobomaigida

What God cannot do does not exist!

Congratulations brother

I'm curious , can a study study permit be submitted without paying the application fee ??

No, it cannot, however, some people initiate charge back claim on the payment, which will trigger a reversal of the payment amount to the card holder.

Good day house.
Trust you are doing great.
I will need your experienced insights on the study visa refusal note I'm attaching with this post.

A friend called me this morning and told me he was recently refused canada study visa and doesn't understand the details on the refusal note. He shared Screencast of the refusal notes but In as much as I know not much about canada I promised to get back to him after getting help from Nairalanders.

Attached Is the refusal notes.
What exactly does the content mean?
Why exactly was he refused based on the note ?
what exactly was expected of him when they said he was given 7 days to respond.?

I will gladly appreciate your quick inputs.
Bless you all

Your friend has applied for a Study permit before for which the application fees where not paid. He needs to settle the debt and explain why he did not pay before. any application he sends now will only be considered after he has settled the debt.

Please, I’m also confused about the due date to pay the fees, I got admission for May Batch.

Payment can be made within four weeks of receiving that notice, whilst the latest date to pay will the last day before you start your term.

Thank you, I think I will go with your advice but I won’t mind if you can give on how to pay them off.

1. You meet financial institutions in Canada for student loans and see if you meet their eligibility requirements.
2. Check with your school for any available scholarships

My people i greet you all and it has been a now.

Please i need urgent help ASAP

So a quick one, i need a guide on how to make study application for someone going with her common law.. kindly give me clarification on these few questions as regard this.

1. Is it one account (primary applicant account)
that should be use for both application? And if yes how many Visa profile will be use.

2. The common law is the sponsor of the principal applicant, what needs to be done from both parties? Note the common law has more than 100m, has companies and properties.

Please guru's in there house i need your guide as quick as possible

1. The primary applicant will use their own profile to apply for the partner. There is a place where they will be asked if they are travelling with a family member, that's where she will add the partner.
2. You need a strong SOP with proof of the relationship to stand a chance of approval. Their POF must be easily proved and where you have lump sums, they must be explained with documentary evidence.

Good day everyone,

Have gotten approval for MPower loan( awaiting disbursement upon submission of study visa), my concern is the amount to be repaid which is more than double the approved amount spread across ten years.

My reason for applying for the loan in the first place is, instead of stressing to source for 22,000cad for tuition fee, while not let MPower take care of the tuition then I work to pay back in installments while also using it to build credit scores but I read somewhere that it is not worth it, that it kind of like enslaving oneself; that it is better to source for the funds( abeg with this our currency devaluation every minute, money wey de bank de loss value every day, complete POF way I gather to use build account since June no reach anything again when I wan use am now)

Please I need your genuine opinion, advice and criticism on this before I get myself deeply rooted in it.
@Zubizareta,@JMG12,@Bobomaigida,@Damilare5882 and everyone in Maple land come put mouth for this o.

Sorry for the long post

Your decision will depend on your financial health. If you have other sources to raise the funds then go that rather than the loan. If you do not have other sources, then you have to go for the loan.
The truth is that Mpower loan is expensive but it sometimes the only loan available to international students that do not have a cosigner. You can start with them to pay pending tuition and subsequently pay them off after some time in Canada after you have built credit score with local banks to secure affordable loan with longer tenors.

On the new app, I can only see an option to send to my email. I have tried that and the doc sef is yet to be sent.

I can't seem to see the option to send to embassy like i saw on UBA app.

The MBS function has not been deployed on the new app yet. Please visit the branch to request for it to be treated.

Hello, please about using flutterwave, do they support all schools.

My school says they only support payment international payments made through flywire.

You need to enroll your school, once you do that, they will open communications with the school to open the process of enlisting them on their platform.

The site uses bank rate for tuition payment.

Is this for real

Pls what other means is available for tuition paument?

You can use it, they offer official rates. They are trying to get the form A market since regular banks are no longer playing in that market.

Please, for this GIC, Scotia Bank is saying that they don't have a student GIC that covers for Nigerians (only country listed in their portal). And CBIC is saying that the transaction must be made in USD, won't that mean that I still need to buy fx at black market in order to carry out the transaction?

Yes you have to purchase FX at the parallel market to fund your account which will be used to buy the GIC.

Thanks for your response,
Which other Canada bank can I use for my GIC?
I want to split it and 10,000 each between 2 banks
I already register with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce CIBC.
Any other bank I can use for GIC?

I do not know if any other bank accepts GIC from non SDS countries like Nigeria apart from CIBC. You can find out from other big banks directly.

Hello,
Good afternoon house,
Please I need urgent response pls.
I tried to make an FX transfer today for my GIC, and was told by access bank that the limit I can transfer is 10k USD.

My GIC is 20,000 CAD which is equal to 15,369.25 USD.
My question is, can I raise two GIC deposits?
Like with same Canadian bank or two different Canadian banks.

PS: was told my limit is 10k usd for a month
Pls urgent reply needed.
Thanks in advance

Some people have done GIC of $20,000.
I do not think it is possible to raise two GIC with same Canadian bank.
FX outflow can over be $10,000 in a month but less than $20,000, what I suspect is that the branch you are making your enquiries do not have the full information about FX transactions.
I will suggest you visit a big branch of your bank to make the enquiries, you can outflow the $15,369 at once to fund the GIC, the only thing is that you would bear all charges associated with the transfer as well as the offshore charge of $25.
Interestedly, the bank should be happy you want to outflow that amount since they will earn more income from the funds outflow.

Time frame is immediate.

The letter containing the passcode is what you will add to the POF docs.

Hi all, please I will like to know how to go about getting my MBS for both UBA and GT Banks, please.

1. You can apply for from your internet banking platform or mobile app (For GTB I am sure of this).

2. Visit any major branch and request for MBS to Canada from the customer service, they will process it for you.

You will be given a sheet containing the passcode to the statement that you will upload with your application.

You might want to complete your form and send him your merged documents .. and tell him to merge his SOA to them. Give him your login info and tell him to help you submit.. I dont know if that makes sense lol.

LOL, our diaspora brothers be doing the most, it is clear he does not want the applicant to know his financial status. If not, what will it take for a statement to be printed and added to the application.

if you are coming to thunder bay from Nigeria be aware. those stories of 'plenty jobs for international students' are lies.
you will spend a minimum of $800 - $1000 a month on a room (just a room). your tuition is minimum of $8600 per semester & for Masters students you pay every semester, there are no breaks in the year. this applies to most universities in Canada. also there are barely part time jobs for students, be ready to get money from back home every month. your sim card bill is min $50 per month (lowest offer so far). you will be bombarded with excess school work, thus be aware.
buy your winter jackets & boots before you arrive, its less expensive back home.
Nigerian students don't forget to buy international travel adaptor in Nigeria. over here its $35, in Nigeria you can get it for $5. certain android phones don't work with their sim cards over here. as i remember more tips i will post.

So what are the good things about the place, it will be nice to also share the positives as well, It can't be so bad cos despite all the negatives no student is coming back to Nigeria, or are you planning to come back?

To give back to the community, I will be answering some asked questions.

1. How did I make payment ?
Ans: you need to go to a either access bank or any other bank, open a dollar bank account and request for dollar card either visa or master card, that way you will be able to pay online. I used access so I was able to even transfer my tuition fee from access bank app once I had the school complete bank details, I used my dollar card to make payment to IRCC.

2. Why was my SOP so long,
Ans: I basically saw the IRCC people as babies, I needed to explain everything like I was talking to a 5years old, as I was mentioning something, I’m also attaching photos proof, not just tell them I have shoe without putting the picture of the shoe.

Docs I submitted
1. LOA, GIC, company bank statement and personal, landed docs, family photos, all school certificates,

I hope I was able to help,

Now please I need help with how to begin my SOWP.

Do I use my profile or create a new profile for my wife SOWP, please someone should respond please.

Thanks
