I'm a Christian and human!
I need someone to tell me the real terrorist between Israeli occupiers and Palestinian Hamas freedom fighters?

Can someone explain the catastrophe that has been happening on a daily basis to the Palestinians on their own ancestral land?

Can someone show us the map of Israeli and Palestinian land before 1948?

I rest my case!

The land of Israel has been populated by the Jewish people since 2000 BC. Here's the timeline, in case you didn't realize that it is their homeland, as designated by Lord Jesus Christ.
1900 BC: Abraham chosen by God as the Father of the Jewish Nation.
1900 BC: Isaac, Abraham's son, rules over Israel.
1850 BC: Jacob, son of Issac, rules over Israel.
1400 BC: Moses leads the people out of Egypt and back to Israel.
1010 BC: King David unites the 12 tribes into one nation.
970 BC: King Solomon, son of David, builds the first temple structure in Jerusalem
930 BC: Israel is divided into two kingdoms, the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah.
800s BC: The rise of the prophets, God's messengers.
722 BC: Kingdom of Israel is conquered by Assyrians.
605 BC: Kingdom Judah is conquered by the Babylonians.
586 BC: Solomon's Temple is destroyed by the Babylonians.
539 BC: Persians conquer the Babylonians and take control of Israel.
538 BC: The Jews return to Israel from exile.
520 BC: The Temple is rebuilt.
450 BC: Reforms made by Ezra and Nehemiah.
433 BC: Malachi is the end of the prophetic age.
432 BC: The last group of Jews return from exile.
333 BC: The Greeks conquer the Persian empire.
323 BC: The Egyptian and Syrian empire take over Israel.
167 BC: Hasmonean's recapture Israel, and the Jews are ruled independently.
70 BC: Romans conquer Israel.
20 BC: King Herod builds the "second" temple
6 BC: Jesus Christ is born in Bethlehem
70 AD: Romans destroy the temple
After that, the people were captives to the Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, and Crusaders. Through all of these events, the Jewish people continued to live in Israel. There were more or less of them, depending on the centuries, but there was never a time when the Jews didn't live in the land. They stayed, they built their communities, they raised their families, practiced their faith and they suffered at the hands of many outside rulers, but they always kept their faith. It is what sustains them, even now.
In 1948, the UN established the State of Israel, the nation of Jews. Don't buy the Palestinian lies that they are entitled to the land. It simply is not true. God will also provide a way for his chosen people to live in Israel, as He has for thousands of years. Pray for the people of Israel.

Politics / Re: Finding Common Ground: Role Of Trade Unions And FG In Fuel Subsidy Removal by bobontop: 4:09pm On Jun 05, 2023
CharleyBright:
For me, ordinarily, Subsidy is good. There is nothing wrong for govt to subsidy essential products and services for her citizens. It is done everywhere in the world by governments. It is part of government's social security safety nets for their citizens.
However, Fuel subsidy in Nigeria is a BIG SCAM.
It is a huge beehive of Corruption by government officials and their cronies to loot and decimate the country's revenue.
The country cannot continue to sustain subsidy payments as a source for some selected priviledged few to continue to drain the country. Hence my position that Subsidy Must go (along with the corruption in the petroleum sector). I support Subsidy removal. Tinubu is right to want to remove it.

However, even when I support Subsidy being removed, I strongly believe the process of removing it must be done in a proper and acceptable manner where it doesn't trigger economic effects and constitute a huge burden on the already traumatized Nigerians. Nigerians are suffering, govt cannot inflict more pains on them.

But as a Nation, we can not fail to blame Buhari for the faceoff situation the country is now or take away the fact that Buhari set up Tinubu for a dogfight with Nigerians and the Labour Unions.
For a person that earlier saw Subsidy as a scam, Buhari became a President that engaged in the same scam. And for 8yrs, he doubled as Petroleum Minister with absolutely nothing to show for in the sector except looting and bloated bills.
We may want to ask, why did Buhari paid subsidy for 8yrs of his tenure and then deliberately made a budget that provided subsidy for half of 2023 year which only covers his tenure and excludes the incoming govt tenure?
It was deliberately selfish and wicked of Buhari to provide subsidy for 6months and put the incoming govt to be a bad position of being without any other choice than to carry the burden of removing subsidy and enter into a fight with Nigerians from the beginning.
Truth is that Buhari never had any political will to remove subsidy himself. He was simply a selfish and an arrogant I-know-it- all man who actually knows nothing but just sat on the Petroleum Ministry without having any solution to the many problems in that sector.

However,to be honest Tinubu carelessly walked into a pit Buhari dug for him.
Tinubu had to carry the burden of removing subsidy, but failed to carefully understand the economic intricacies of that decision. He took a hasty and rash decision and it is likely to backfire.

From Economist perspective, what I would have advised Tinubu to do before making that subsidy removal announcement would have been to quickly put up a committee of experts to assess activities in the activities in the petroleum sector in totality to ascertain the actual consumption level of the country if it actually align with the subsidy payments and the real beneficiaries of subsidy payments. With that done, it would have realized that subsidy figures are heavily bloated and the source of leakage to be blocked.
With the blockage of leakage in the petroleum sector, he would have then provided needed palliatives (Mass Transit buses nationwide etc) to cushion the effects of subsidy removal, and provide roadmap with timelines of what the monies saved from subsidy will be utilized for, before going ahead to remove the subsidy. That way, Nigerians would have seen the sincerity of purpose and the political will to sanitize the Petroleum sector and there wouldnt be complains.

But these weren't the case. We are where we are.

However, my advise for Tinubu now would be:

1. Allow the subsidy payment to run its course till June ending as provided in the budget. There was provision for subsidy payments in budget till June ending, the govt can't remove it in May.

2. Make enquiry into activities of the Petroleum sector and sanitize the sector and block every leakages therein. Punish those that have been involved in pilfering the sectors by demanding refunds of wealth stolen. If these are not done, the govt will only be removing subsidy and saving monies into hands of corrupt officials and their cronies that will end up stealing the monies.

3. Tinubu should provide basic social safety nets to ameliorate the impending inflation that will arise from subsidy removal.

4. Provide Mass Public Transportation buses across the nation to aid easy and affordable movement of people within the country.

5. Invest in alternative source of energy such as Solar Panels and renewable energies to augment the source of power as homes and businesses that were relying on generators will be great affected by subsidy removal.

6. Provide govt backed essential commodity market outlets Nationwide. These will help supply essential foodstuffs at affordable prices and help cushion the effect of soaring prices that will likely arise from subsidy removal.

7. (Many will not like this one)... My candid advise to govt will be to resist any call for salary increment by labour soon. It will greatly worsen the inflation situation. Perhaps when things have stabilize, the govt can consider salary increment as at due.

8. Engage and dialogue with all stakeholders on subsidy removal. Convince them to align with the policy by providing a feasible timeline on what the monies saved will be utilized for.

After all, GEJ made that provision when he tried to remove subsidy in 2012 and even gave palliatives after taking pump price to N120, but Tinubu and Buhari rejected and scuttled the move.
Tinubu cannot come with empty hands to remove it with nothing to show (even at a far higher cost) and expect generally acceptance from Nigerians.

After all, if Tinubu and Buhari had allowed Jonathan remove subsidy then, we would be talking about subsidy payments 10 yrs after.
Karma is always lurking at the corner for those that mess with it.

Bros your analysis was sound and void of the usual niaraland tribal madness. But one thing you are forgetting is that all the leaders you mentioned here had very good plans and better policies than those you outline but the were frustrated by the corrupt and criminal mindset of Nigerians. None of these leaders wanted to fall.

But Nigerian problem is not about policies. Just like the new electoral law - very excellent masterpiece that would have transformed our electoral process but you saw how the criminality of the Nigerian people and system made a mess of it. Professors, Shamelessly sat before camera and read out lies.

Any leader that will change Nigeria must go beyond good and intelligent policies. He must have the moral and spiritual aura that can inspire and institutionalize a mental and moral revolution. Someone that his integrity and moral standards will appeal to the conscience of Nigerians and thereby inspire attitudnal change within the populace. This was what many of us expected from Buhari based on his earlier war against indiscipline but we overrated him.
Until we get such a leader, the best of policies and programs that have transformed other nations will end up in the gutter just like the new electoral law and the last election.

I don't agree with you. Rather, if Tinibu eventually wins, it has confirmed that money-politics and the structure of criminality is in deed superior to the will of the people and this is a very worrisome precedence. It means that Tinibu can get any thing he wants in Nigeria with his money and structure of criminality. It means he really made Buhari president and no body can become president again in Nigeria without Tinibus approval, just as it is in Lagos State presently. It means a christian may never be president in Nigeria again. May God never allow this to happen.

VoteObi2SaveNai:
The regard and respect I used to have for Soludo just died after reading this trash. You mean a so-called governor had the time to write a full book just to rant like a school girl?

Soludo is indeed jealous and envious of Peter Obi. With a friend or brother like Soludo, nobody needs an enemy. Imagine how low this fool descended by saying things Obi told him in confidence.

This man really disgusts me and I know he has lost the respect of not just Igbos but other Nigerians who can think deeply and want a better country.

Soludo, you can never be the man Peter Obi is, never! You're too petty, emotional, arrogant and unreasonable. This man is a child in adults body! I have never seen such an immature man before! Most of the things he accused Peter Obi were things done by Obidients who may be right or wrong but he used them to crucify Obi. I also noticed how he tactically praised other politicians and regions while condemning Obi and Igbos! This is the same attitude other Igbo politicians have always exhibited except Peter Obi.

Peter Obi is the most matured, altruistic, humble, honest, objective and egalitarian Igbo politician I have ever seen!

Soludo, you have danced naked in public, attacking not just Peter Obi for no just reason but also embarrassed and humiliated your people in your futile attempts to gain outside support. You've shown to be a very bad student of history because those that choose this same path of yours always end up in shame. Those hawks you're indirectly pandering to, would some day come for you and just like we Igbos abandoned Ike Ekweremadu, we will always abandon you in the mud when that time comes. You've choosing to be on the bad side of history and posterity will judge you accordingly.

You said Peter Obi can't win and will never win, but you're not God. You're only a mortal being who is filled with hubris and can't control his ego. Your day of reckoning is certainly coming!

You spoke well. I add this-

1. To lunch such vehement attack on an innocent man because of what people he does not know and have no control over did is totally unfair and absolutely wicked.

2. To advise someone to contest for President under APGA in today's Nigeria political landscape and assuring him failure and crucifying him for not accepting such wicked advice is nothing short of cruel witchcraft.

Romance / Re: My say On Women's Late Marriage Issues by bobontop: 5:25pm On Oct 16, 2022
Stargurl20:
Good morning, everyone.

So, I've been reading certain trending posts on this forum about women's late marriage lately.
And having gone through most comments, I realized that certain people are ignorant ( I'm sorry if this sounds rude), some are not but chose to be wicked and heartless with their comments, some were mature, empathetic, and mild with their comments ( kudos to you guys).

I will take my self as an example. I understand there are greedy, materialistic, rude , arrogant feministic women etc. Out there

However, they are some virtuous women who were just so unlucky to have life offer them nothing, or opposites of their desires( I understand we can't always get all we want in life).

I as a case study, i'm a young girl of 23. As much as I do not pray for wretchedness or poverty ( let's be sincere with ourselves, no one wishes for that) I've never been moved by material things owned by a man. Not cars, not houses, or his worth in cash. Yet, the fact that I haven't found someone I feel even the smallest of feelings for has kept me out of relationship. To me, one sided love is unfair to the one whose love isn't reciprocated. I understand love isn't enough in marriage, but we can't ignore the fact that it's its foundation. I've rejected certain proposals that I personally feel bad that I fear i might even end up alone, but at the same time I can't deceive or pretend to love someone I do not love, cause even the presence of the person let alone his touch will irritate me. I just can't see my self doing that. I'm not making this post to portray myself as righteous or a good girl or whatever you guys might call it, but I just want many of the commenters bashing women to know that there millions of women like me out there, who are still unmarried because they chose not to be deceitful, but yet, life hasn't smiled at them.
Not all women is intentionally over selective, not all is arrogant, not all fight equality with men, not all is badly behaved. Life is just not fair to some. Thank you.

Feelings, Feelings, Feelings! You are making the same mistake that has kept many women unmarried or lateness in marriage. Follow the wisdom of God, it's is for your own good:
1. God never commanded a woman to love her husband. He only asked you to submit to your husband. What you call feeling (love) is not your duty. If you find a man that genuinely love you and treats you like a queen, you better follow him. The feelings will come later.

2. Love that lasts is not founded on feeling but on informed decision. Also these nonsense you people watch in Nollywood movies has deceived many of you girls. Romantic feeling comes and goes. You don't build a lasting relationship on romantic feeling... ask your mother. If successful marriage is built on romantic feeling Nollywood Stars would have had the best marriages. Successful marriage and but on commitment and decision to make it work.
You better jettison this childish notion of rejecting committed, responsible proposers because of feeling. Girls like you fall for empty vessels that have sweet tongues because you are looking for poetic Nollywood romance. Men that have something to offer are not very romantic. They are busy people and men of action. They meet you today in six months they have paid your Dowry. All those jobless efulefus that are looking for free sex, will call you 24 times in a day and write long poems like Shakespeare and end up wasting your destiny and destroying your life. The efulefus are the kind of people girl like you fall for.
Sorry if I am very blunt. I just want to help you and many other innocent but naive girls out there.
If a man loves a woman very much, even if they woman doesn't love him, their marriage will work. Infact you the woman will enjoy the marriage more because the man will spend his whole life trying to win your love. But you as a woman, in the name of looking for feeling marry a man who doesn't really cherish you, you have entered hell fire.

It's is the same with sex. A woman most times is not in the mood, but if she submits to her husband in obedience to God, the feelings will come and she will enjoy also.
Finally, must girls who have spiritual husband doesn't have feeling for the right men that will better their lives. Those wicked spirit husbands will will supply plenty of feelings when the efulefus come around so as to deal with the lady. You better beware and be wise... good marriage is not based on feelings... except in Nollywood.

So at what point did you choose to heterosexual?
Guy, I am enjoying your intelligent discourse, even though I know you are wrong. Nature never made anyone homosexual. It's a perversion of nature by forces that want to destroy God's creation.
If nature made anyone homosexual, there would have been homosexual goats, dogs and animals... but there is nothing like that. Have you ever seen a male dog sleeping with a male dog. Even dogs, with all their sexual recklessness are never homosexual.

Don't be deceived. It's a delusion. It's never natural and should never be encouraged. You will soon support bestiality and agitate to be allowed to marry dogs and claim you were made like that by nature. Repent and go for deliverance or rehabilitation and you will be surprised you were not made like that in the first place, rather you were deceived and deluded by demons.

You don't need to wait for me. You simply need to decide for yourself if it is the case that this man is telling you Truth meaning God is a liar. That's all! undecided

If Heaven is already open for business, what that means is that Jesus Christ is a liar - He is not the Way to the father as He proclaimed over 2000 years ago and the judgement to come is a ruse since according to this man, his friends and relatives are already in Heaven even before Jesus Christ's so-called judgement day. So is God a lie? That is the core question here. undecided

You missed out some things. There is a difference between heaven and paradise. Paradise is the place of the souls of the righteous before final judgement. We Lazarus died he was taken to Abraham's bosom in paradise. The thief on the cross was told by Jesus 'today you will be with me in paradise'. There is also a difference between hell, hades and lake of fire. Hell and death shall be cast into the lake of fire and that is the second death. That is the same way those in paradise will move to heaven after resurrection of the dead. Escatology is complicated. It's is possibly paradise that the man went to.

The only confusion is he was not a born again Christian. But Jesus has the absolute authority of heaven. He may have allowed him a access to heaven so that he can send him back be a witness to us of the things he has seen.
Thank God he has now confessed Christ and is saved.

As it is now you are possessed with a lot of demons due to pornography and masturbation and that is your problem. You need to urgently give your life to Jesus Christ, stop those dirty habbits and go for deliverance and you will be fine. You need a brand new life and it's only Salvation in Jesus Christ that can give it to you. As you give your life to Christ, join a good church, you will find genuine love and friendship and you can pick it up from there.
