Hi VO,
We do appreciate your invaluable response you give out here on this forum....It is indeed priceless, thank you so much.
Sir/ma,I will love to ask if i do not need to exercise any fear of people names omission on the guest list.I have read somewhere that on the day of interview some people's names were not on the list and were told they had been rescheduled for other dates without being given any prior notice. My son and I have an F2A interview scheduled for 23rd March at 6.30 am...Or is there any way one can ascertain it is confirmed apart from the interview letter gotten through email?Thank you.

Alot of $ sellers are panicking because of the new CBN. Most sellers have been hoarding the $ so as to create artificial scarcity. Don't rush into buying dollars wait till the end of month because the dollar might fall to less than 400 in the coming weeks
. Yes ,thanks bro...I'm also thinking and hoping so...I won't rush but if I notice a slight drop below N400,I might give a shot to buy little amount .....I hope it gets sustained and our Naira gets back to its manageable point....Not this unrealistic stage it is now.
Business / $ To 450?? by bodescous: 1:49pm On Feb 24, 2017
I don't know maybe anyone in this forum get to know the parallel market price for a dollar today! My Aboki called me this afternoon that I should come and buy a dollar @N450......Whereas this Monday ,he still said N520 to 1$..
I think the Federal Government policy to inject certain amount of dollars to d Economy for people that want to pay school fees abroad and PTA is really working..Pls any person with other realible information should let the house know.

Travel / Re: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by bodescous: 5:02pm On Feb 01, 2017
VisaOfficer:

This is a good question and one I am happy to answer. No, there is no "retrogression" underway (this is when cut off dates move backwards instead of forward, essentially meaning a longer wait). There is also no new immigration policy targeting Nigeria. We have, per the Executive Order, stopped processing refugee visas at this time, but we only see very few of those in any given period. Your F2A application is certainly not affected by refugee processing or retrogression.

The second moving part is our ability to take your interview at the Consulate. We have very high volume and not a lot of adjudicating officers. That means, even though your case is current and ready for interview, if we do not have the capacity to take you, then you must wait a little longer. This is similar to getting a movie ticket at the Palms: There are many tickets available, but you still have to wait in line to get one.

I understand that this process can be frustrating. Please know we are doing all we can to ensure your case -- and all cases -- move forward as fast as possible in order to reunite your family.

Regards,
VO

I so much appreciate your in depth explanation to my inquiries....I'm very sure if you hadn't been a VO,maybe I think Teaching job would have been your profession.
Well,I will continue to hold my patience even though the frustration is too much on our both sides as husband and wife as my wife, son and a one week old daughter want their dad/husband to be with them......I pray to God for early rescue from this situation as the heat gets stronger and stronger everyday...Thanks so much for your time always VO and may God bless you.
Regards.

Hi the indefatigable VO,I'm a silent reader of this immigrants post and I so much appreciate your invaluable advice you give here for the prospective immigrants.... I haven't posted a question since my first greetings when the new VO came on board...
Sir/Ma,I would like to ask if we are still on course as regards the normal scheduling for the immigrants interview in Lagos consulate(F2A) precisely?I'm supposed to due for interview in March as my priority date is 01 May,2015.But we have not been having a good feedback whenever we place call to NVC since last week ,being the last week of d month which is d normal norm for inquiries for interview date from NVC...
Sir/ma,please could you alleviate my fears concerning the visa interview and hope there is no retrogression as regards the new Immigration policy by President Trump? Thanks for your time always.
Regards.

Hi Vo, 6yrs wait for f1 is very upsetting. My dad is freaky old and he has a medallion in the states. He needs me as soon as possible to care of things for him due to his old age and health wise. I'm sure he wont be able to do much in the next 6yrs. Is there any probability I could get my PD earlier than that? I need a response from VO please. Thanks
. There is no VO contributing or interacting on this topic..It is a topic created by someone(Slightlymad)That's her monicker, for people waiting for their priority dates to become current....If you really want to ask question from a US VO,follow this link https://www.nairaland.com/2669622/u.s-immigration-questions-ask-u.s/54 That's for the immigrants visa questions. Good luck to you.

@Slightlymad where are you ooo. Have u abandoned the thread you started? cheesy
Seems slightly mad has abandoned her thread o! Well, a new visa bulletin was released yesterday and I think all the visa class had a month jump....... It's better unlike those times of 1 or 2 weeks jump for some classes. I know it is tiring and frustrating not being with our loved ones, but we would continue to keep praying and hope for d better.Shalom!
