sangresan: Leave them! Their candidate is seeing this opportunity to shine as a new bee. This is the first time he's having a national clout. Where has he been all this while? What has been his contributions to national development. Even his state he couldn't live there after his tenure. Tinubu has always been around addressing national issues through his annual colloquium being attended by many greats across the nation. Peter Obi is a new comer joor. 5 Likes |

Tinubu has been doing his colloquium annually, addressing the challenges of the nation and giving his advice as to what should be done. This same event(s) has been attended by many greats across the nation, politicians, captains of industry, technocrats, etc. This same Tinubu do stand for hours while giving his speech on the podium. Now I know you guys are jobless. You analyzed Buhari's picture till IPOB overran your region, now you're busy analysing the pictures of a meeting as if that will guarantee a victory for Obi. Tinubu went to meet Obj as a sign of respect for an elder (He was there in 2015 too), so not his first time. Pls, get a life and do something meaningful with it |
Politics / Re: Kola Ologbondiyan: Wike Free To Meet Anyone by Bodexman(m): 2:35pm On Aug 17, 2022 |
Good Honestly, I find it very surprising that some people have not been shouting and calling the PDP the EVIL PARTY and all sorts of names after doing this wicked thing to Wike. I wonder why they have not been wailing, cursing and calling it a northern party after sidelining their fathers who have devoted their time and resources to slave for the party, even when the so called Northerners abandoned the party, only for them to return because of elections and take over again. Their leaders just couldn't fight for dominance and demand their rights because they are simply COWARDS, INCLUDING THE ONE THAT RAN TO LP. But TINUBU STOOD HIS GROUND and got what he wanted because he isn't a coward, yet they are calling him all sort of names. Some people like Afenifere have been saying that it is the turn of the Igbos, but excuse me, if the same Igbos cannot demand for their rights from PDP because they see themselves as inferior (they couldn't even bargain for the VP slot), is it me that will fight for them? Wike you be man, no Igbo man can do what you're doing. |

Just tell the readers you are campaigning for Obi. Let me remind you that nobody embarrassed him in APC. He contested like any other person and he lost. Stop sounding like his rights was taken from him. Another thing you failed to see is that, the APC (the so called evil party by you lot) gave him the platform he never dreamt of on a platter of gold, and he should be eternally grateful to the party. Just tell us you want him to campaign for Obi and we'll understand. 1 Like 1 Share |

Politics / Who Performed Better As CBN Gov Between Soludo, Sanusi And Emefiele by Bodexman(m): 9:28am On Aug 10, 2022 |
These are the three men that has been saddled with the responsibility to oversee and control the banking industry since 2004. Central bank governors set the monetary and regulatory policy, determine interest rates, maintain price stability, control the national money supply and issuance and foreign exchange currency rates and gold reserves. Soludo Was in office from 2004 – 2009. He was able to carry out various banking reforms. Soludo's reforms focused on strengthening the financial systems through banking sector consolidation, foreign exchange market stabilization, interest rates restructuring and the pursuit of stabilization as against structural adjustment policies for monetary and inflationary controls. In January 2008, in a speech to the Nigerian Economic Society, he predicted consolidation in the private banking industry, saying "By the end of 2008, there will be fewer banks than there are today. The restructuring of the banking industry has been attracting funds from local and foreign investors, which have increased banks' ability to lend to customers. Sanusi He was the Governor between 2009 - 2014. He carried out various reforms when he took over from Soludo. Sanusi knew the rot in the system, and he moved in with a bang destroying the quietude that enveloped the banking sector. He was able to act very quickly to sort out the good banks from the bad banks and get the banks back to health. That is a huge legacy as speculated by some financial analysts. His supporters maintain that his stringent approach has seen a return of profitability to a banking sector that was heavily subsidised with high-interest government bonds. The central bank also increased banks’ cash reserve requirements from 8% to 12% in July 2012. Sanusi has bagged a string of banking awards (three time central bank Governor of the year award) and was included in Time magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in 2011. He was however suspended after the $20B oil scandal. Emefiele Emefiele assumed the mantle of leadership of the Central Bank of Nigeria in June 2014, and was almost immediately confronted by high inflation, falling oil revenue, value-eroding local currency as speculators and round-trippers held sway. Embarrassingly, the economy became ‘dollarised. The CBN, under Emefiele’s leadership, came up with new strategies to navigate the Nigerian economy through hurdles such as the challenge of foreign exchange inflow, the exchange rate, the economic recession, stagflation, financial inclusion and the gap in the value chains of majority of crops in Nigeria. It is said to him whom much is given, much is expected, the Emefiele-led CBN would have to redouble its efforts in the area of price stability as well as do more to boost forex flows in order to guarantee exchange rate stability and boost the external reserves which has unfortunately depleted drastically. With these three men at the helm of affairs as CBN Gov, who do you think did better. NO INSULTS/CURSES PLS |

Here is a thread as far back as 2012 when Peter Obi was Governor of Anambra state. Here, the people of Anambra state and south east generally were commenting on his poor performance. How this man suddenly become a super performer according to his supporters is what I don't understand, or has he held another public office after his tenure. Please note, no Afonja or zombies was mentioned on this thread. https://www.nairaland.com/870945/what-exactly-peter-obi-doing 4 Likes 1 Share |

Look at the epic reactions by the basketball players. Just imagine this was coming from Tinubu or Atiku, the internet would have been set on fire. Now they are cowardly defending his repeated lies. Now I know why the other presidential aspirants may not want to have a debate with Peter Obi. He will just be dishing out statistics and figures without verifying it while his supporters will be cheering and vilifying his opponents thinking he his making sense. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello guys I stumbled on this thread and I want you guys to read this thread about Peter Obi's performance as governor by the Igbos themselves (majorly Anambraians). This was an era where no one was called 'Afonja' or being paid 30k monthly stipends for airing his/her view. Why do these guys all of a sudden want to start painting Peter Obi as a performer when the citizens themselves acknowledged he was a failure and a boy-boy to Jonathan, I.e always running to Abuja while abandoning his duties to the state. Pls, read below and air your view, thanks. https://www.nairaland.com/870945/what-exactly-peter-obi-doing |
