This is false....communication department in NCS comprises of mass communication, public relations etc...even in Nigerian navy army and Airforce, mass communication is pivotal in their communication department

Yes the shortlisted candidates will be those that meet the requirements. That is the first stage, the second stage might be either aptitude test if there will be any or straight to face the board where presented credentials will be scrutinized.
Moreover the present CG is a no nonsense man, those resident in Kaduna know what's up. I won't be surprised if Col Hamid Ali aka Benjamin Netanyahu will not even lobby for his own son if he is an applicant, the man integrity no be here.

In every recruitment no matter what...there's always room for Merit.

If you correctly filled the form meeting all requirements surely you will be shortlisted.
If for example the minimum Requirement for height is 1.6m and you put anything below that then automatically the computer will weed such a one out, same applies for others, including age.
What will screen many people out at this stage will be age, class of degree, height etc.
Above all many people will get this job on merit that one na dole. Even if you have CG as ur God father, he won't tamper with merit list, what those ogas do is to tell their wards to go to camp direct with or without the hassle of registration/screening.

You are talking about merit list?...That's if theres even a list...it was clearly stated that only shortlisted candidates would be contacted.
There's nothing like list bro...just fear any federal government recruitment that wont paste list in the open for people to check their names.

The funny thing is that those that have the real qualifications might not be considered, while those with little or no qualifications would be considered. Not everyone on this forum would get this job, but some will definitely get it. But guess what It is not the end of life. However, completed applications were not up to a million, can be verified when the statistics of the application is given next week. There were many wasted applications though, I warned about this earlier, If you know you did history, political science, international relations, am sorry it fell under junks. My friend BOJO, I can take a bet on this with you, when the shortlist is out, quote me abeg sir. Only those whose qualifications appropriately suits the field or department applied for have been considered. Even if you get slot, you must bring someone whose course fits in appropriately. All those junk wrong applications na joke for the NCS HR guys side. Apart from the connect list, there is a high chance for those appropriately qualified, watch out for their official update soon. Wish everyone the very best. This recruitment has only revealed that this nation has a high number of unemployed graduates but less professionals.
