@op unilag is the best and people are not blind. You see, being in Lagos the centre of excellence, unilag is able to attract the best and smartest students and faculty members in Nigeria.

In case u've not being following recent rankings, this year 4icu ranked us as the first in Nigeria: and for the first time we entered top 20 in Africa. Last month and last week, africa.com ranked us as 9th in Africa above other Nigerian Universities. If 2 out of 3 rankings place us as 1st then judge for yourself. That's why akokites refer to their sch as the pride of the nation.

A lot of people with what Chimamanda calls single story believe unilag is a sch for prostitute, yahoo boys. However, I've a bad news for such people, because if you've been following local tech news you must have heard about a 3-student team from unilag that won $20k as the winner in sub-saharan category of google drive app contest. In another google student competition, google online marketing challenge, a team of engineering students are in semi-finals. Early this year, two of our students won the national university debate a team of education and law student. About two weeks ago Ms Tobi Phillips won Miss world university. I want you to know I'm talking about recent happenings and not old glory.

A guy mentioned admission statistics, according to my state gov, mimiko, "facts are sacred". If you're close to an Akokites u must have heard them refer to their sch as "university of 1st choice". The fact is according this yr jamb statistics, Unilag still leads other universities in terms of number of applicants followed by unizik which has been the case over the years.

Side attractions: unilag is the only Nigerian university with an aquatic environ. You need to see our lagoon front. Unilag library has the highest collections of books, journals in Nigeria but Unn has the biggest library in terms of size; what is the essence of size without content. Our senate building is the tallest in Africa. Do u know we also have a robotics lab? I'm willing to write more for the love of my sch. Greatest Akokites!

For any computing or technology courses I guess knowing basic CS stuff will be of advantage...@ MIT they merge EE and CS together...u can check ocw.mit.edu. U can take this basic courses @ www.udacity.com . Basically at Unilag EE guys do C++.

Unilag has a fairly updated computer science curriculum(cc 2001): the current one(cc2008) than other Nigerian schools. Computer Science makes you a "programmer" not a "developer", that's why most courses are intro till 2nd yr, I guess. However a CS graduate is expected to be a developer.
1st yr.- VB6, VB.NET,Pascal
2nd yr- Java, Python.

jamb is weird , no result slip card in their offices all over d country. u can only get it on the street . Ipso facto i got my own on d street.

Hey dude, don't joke with ur admission, coz dat is d only evidence to show dat u graduated 4rm a high school. Without ur testimonal ur statement of result will be treated as fake. If travelling far away dat might not take u more than two days will cost u 365 days(a year) u had better make d right decision.

Go get d jamb result slip scratch card from nearby jamb office. Go to www.myjambexams.com. There are two distinctive boxes on the site. 1) for result checker
2)for result slip and admission letter.
Go to dat of result slip submit d required data like jamb reg no, pin.
Endeavour to capture d background and print with a colour printer.

To factorise polynomial of cubes; two formulae apply
1) a^3+b^3
= (a+b)(a^2-ab+b^2)
2) a^3-b^3
=(a-b)(a^2+ab+b^2)

27X^3+8
=(3X)^3+2^3
Taking 3X as 'a' and 2 as 'b',and applying formulae 1.
=(3X+2)(9X^2-6X+4)

Y^3-216
=Y^3-6^3
Using formula 2
=(Y-6)(Y^2+6Y+36)

Y^3+27
=Y^3+3^3
=(Y+3)(Y^2-3Y+9)
