These are Catholicism apologists attempting to deny the obvious idolatry perpetrated by the church.

I say it is obvious because everyone else knows it is idolatry. Even ex-Catholics know this. Only those who are loyalists to the church do not and in fact may not see it so.

I asked to hear and know your own definition and perception of idolatry because if you actually do check the actual meaning of idolatry and understand it without trying to explain it away defensively, you won't only stop the idolatry but you will seek forgiveness.

Now I've also visited and worshipped at Catholic churches with sone friends and as much as I wanted to believe I was wrong and people were wrong about the idolatry, it was inexcusable.

1. First, you pray to God through Holy Mary.
This already defeats the purpose of Jesus tearing the veil of the temple and opening the direct access between every human being and God through Jesus Christ and no other name. Jesus Christ is the only Mediator between Man and God.
Excuses of only appealing to Holy Mary to pray for you is just a manipulative device of the enemy to euthanize you into idolatry.

2. Also you have statues of Mary where certain prayers are specifically prayed. This is clearly idolatry, no excuses.

3. You shared in your post that you only felt at peace when you got the crucifix. Do you still need anyone to tell you that you believe in material things, graven images before you can believe your prayer is answered? What more proof of idolatry do you need?

Now I do not believe in condemning any church completely as I know that God infact can be worshipped in Spirit and Truth any where as long as one obeys his commands as spelt out in the Word of God (not your special Bible but the 66 books).

I believe the Charismatics movement of the Catholic Church is God's divine answer if you wish to remain a Cathoiic. But if possible you need to deconstruct the whole idolatry from yourself by trying a different church and make a fair judgment by yourself.

Your spiritual life is central and determinant of every other partof your life.
That you were born into a religion or denomination should not deny you of your power/right of choice to seek a personal encounter with the Almight God, the creator lf the Heaven and Earth.

I pray that Grace and Mercy of God is multiplied to you.

this was a job that I was not 100% qualified for but by God's grace I got the job. Let me just say I was 50% qualified and have not handled the kind of job before but have an idea about it. The task was huge and the salary was over 200k few years back. I was wondering how I could handle the whole thing and I was managing the whole branches under me and others.

But God came into the picture.

Each time I sleep, I ask God to help me do my job well. Then as I sleep, I begin to see excell spread sheet tables on how the job is to be done, how it's supposed to be arranged. Sometimes I will sleep and begin to see different analysis reports, the corporate management processes involved. As I was seeing all these, I was implementing them live and suggesting new things to the company and providing solutions to problems.

There was no kind of inventory analysis I didn't do and submitted all kinds of reports.

God too much jare, what ever you are currently facing just put God into the equation, even if you fail, then it's God's will.

Dont put your hope in the processes involved in taking back the government from Tinubu through a legal process because legal does not work in Nigeria as lond as corruption is concerned.

The big mistake Peter Obi and Atiku did was stopping people from protesting after INEC declared Tinubu winner and asking fans to follow the legal judiciary parth, the Protest would have been what could stop Tinubu.

So don't waste your time my people, Tribuna will uphold Tinubu as President and you can't do anything about it.

In the old testament do you know that moses often goes to the tent where the ark of the covenant was kept and bows down his head to commune with God. Remember the Ark denotes the presence of God and has the ten commandments crested stone inside and at the top a big molded angels facing each other. Is Moses praying to the molded angels or to God. Bible illiteracy is a disease and cancer to Christianity

lol what guarantees heaven is a sinless life and nothing else, though there are other things that a Christian needs to do e.g receiving holy communion, baptism etc.

Yes I have gotten my personal crucifix for prayers...to increase my personal relationship with God.

My mind is finally calm, the joy I felt when I got this crucifix was out of this world. I had to travel to another state and got it in the first Catholic church I went to, after searching for about 3 months.
