look at the FG receiving more than 1 trillion while 36 states share above 900 billion. is this not madness. yet the both has nothing to show for it. Nigeria must restructure, this criminal sharing formula is evil. let states control their wealth and pay tax to fg. ![]() |
where is APC's version of restructuring, before you condemn PDP, let's see that of Apc |

who is sure buhari came into this country. . |
"the internet has been the nightmare of tyrants" well said. and also of dullards |
nonsense, very senseless . |
I am 100% sure buhari never wrote or read whatever speech the media is presenting. this is the handwork of the two clowns adesina and garba |
the plundering and ruthless exploitation of Nigeria's resources can be easily done under a buhari not a Mugabe who took away farms from the whites and gave to his country men. people shouting Mugabe is a dictator, Angela Merkel is considering going for a 4th term, Erdogan in turkey has been in power for God knows but they don't shout dictatorship but when it comes to Africa and especially a leader that doesn't dance to their tune, u start hearing words like dictator and other nonsense. Mugabe is loved by his people. |
people just wake up and write what they like. I was expecting this man to state carefully and thoughtfully why Biafra isn't feasible. but no, its the usual talk, selfishness of Igbo leaders, relegation of the youth, and I ask who are those championing the Biafra secession, is it the selfish selfish Igbo leaders? no, but the youth. so for the fact that its the youth who are championing the struggle I see no reason bringing up the issue of wicked selfish Igbo leaders as a reason Biafra isn't feasible. because as far as I am concerned this evil Igbo leaders would have no say in the new country. the youth have deemed it fit to fight for what the elders gave refused to fight for. |

Fulani, the problem of Nigeria since inception, trying to lord over every other tribe. the end is near. |
una no go kill person |
boostdom:that's the problem with the ND struggle, attack, collect ur share and move on, why stop the attack, what has changed. next year another group would spring up and the same cycle continues until the oil is depleted and the region massively polluted. people can't get portable drinking water in most areas of bayelsa, delta, etc because of oil spillage and pollution and you know why shell and other MNCs won't take the ND serious because once they release few dollars everyone stars answering their name. |
haba for ritual purposes Ogun state has MFM, Redeem, Winners, and one of the biggest Muslim prayer Ground. yet all these evil crimes are a regular occurrence. Nigeria is not a religious country, don't be deceived. |

boostdom:up till date no shell investment has been targeted. just like u said armed struggle is the only way. the Niger delta has been fighting the servants(Nigeria) leaving the master(imperialist) to enjoy. the moment ND starts targeting ALL shell interests and infrastructure that's the day their success story would start. |
I have never seen a region so docile like the Niger Delta. why shell and shell bp is still standing and living fat from oil proceeds till today is still a mystery considering the cankerous and inhuman damage they have done to the region. ![]() |

I can't imagine how an issue would bd raised, the first thing people would type is iPod, afonja, brownies, flattys almajiri and other nonsense. if u have nothing to type, stay out of the thread. this is getting irritating. attack ur enemy with facts, intellectualism, actions and intelligence and not nonsense irritating abusive words. ![]() |
this is rubbish we are not people of one origin. we are of different origin. we only became people of Nigeria because of the evil lugard and his British looters.Atiku we are not brothers, people in The U.s South Africa and others sat, deliberated and agreed to live together. until we sit down, deliberate and agree on how to live, Nigeria would never be one. even though I see atiku as the only detribalized Nigerian among the northern hawks vying for 2019 presidency, what he wrote here is nonsense. when are we going to stop hiding from the truth. ![]() |

so obama actually introduced that regulation. . unbelievable. In 20 years from now America would thank God for giving them Trump and Americans would know obama as the demon he truly is. |
RevDesm0ndJuju:its obvious osibanjo even if being declared president cannot govern well, as i believe he is so afraid of the demonic cabal |
seunny4lif:exactly, the sanctions is a pure attempt to corner and provoke Russia. but i believe Putin knows this, and would act when its time. |

It has never been heard of anywhere in the world where the head of an anti corruption agency, is surrounded in so much controversy, political power tussle accusations and counter accusations. In Nigeria once you are appointed by the executive to head any agency, honourability and integrity is kept aside. Mr Ibrahim Magu the current chairman of the economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) can never do the job he was appointed to do perfectly with the current controversy surrounding him. The EFCC was setup to investigate financial crimes, ensure that suspects are taken to courts and present a good case for prosecution of suspects by the court. This must be done without fear or favour. But with the rejection of Magu for confirmation by the senate and the obstinate position of the executive not to drop him and pick another person, there is no way the man Magu can ever act without fear or favour, “without being sentimental and selective and dictatorial”. This to me is the main reason why the senate rejected him and not the DSS report they are brandishing. The initial method of zero investigation of a suspect, jumping to the media to tarnish the image of certain suspects accusing and convicting them in the media, was seen by the populace as an attempt to kill opposition and dent the images of certain persons in order to prevent them from clinching any political office position in the future. Magu’s employers forgot that he hasn’t been confirmed by the senate and the same opposition they are trying to kill by all means has a large number in the senate and all those they are fighting in the media would use their men in the senate to frustrate his confirmation. Up till date the EFCC under Magu hasn’t gotten any significant conviction especially those they accuse in the media. Members of the executive have been accused of large scale corruption e.g. Rotimi Amaechi, Babachir Lawal, Abba Kyari, etc but the EFCC did nothing about it. In the case of Babachir Lawal, the executive even had to setup a committee to determine whether he is guilty or not, he was asked to step aside. The case is almost going like every other corrupt allegation levelled against the executive. If the executive would set up a committee to investigate their own, taking away the function of the EFCC then I see no reason why the senate and judiciary shouldn’t do same to their own. If truly Magu is an upright man as he is claimed to be, the honourable thing to do is to resign as there is absolutely no way the fight against corruption can be effective under him, he has already been compromised and found wanting by a DSS report, the same DSS report he used to ransack the houses of judges, which made even the NJC suspend the accused judges but some were later recalled as they were found innocent. Magu should be made to go through this process he subjected the judges to, let an independent panel investigate the accusations levelled against him and if found guilty he should be prosecuted. One begins to wonder why the executive hasn’t set up a panel to investigate the accusations levelled against Mr Magu. The EFCC would never go against those who supported Magu to remain as the chairman and the EFCC can never get any meaningful conviction with this jackboot, hate, sentimental, selective, crude and unintelligent approach of fighting corruption by Magu. The Executive themselves would be free from the EFCC since they are the ones championing his stay. Nigeria is a country of almost 180 million people, with this legion of humans one begins to wonder why the unnecessary insistence on one man and why this one man cannot step aside for others. Nigeria’s greatest problem is leadership and the highest leadership position in the country is under the executive arm. If the executive does what is right, other arms would follow. The legislative and judicial arm are corrupt or under-performing because the executive is also highly corrupt and under-performing. Each arm believes none of them have the right to challenge their excesses as they are all guilty. But unfortunately and ironically the current executive sees itself as an arm without blemish and goes after other arms of government labelling them as Nigeria’s problem. Nigeria’s greatest problem is the executive arm, not the legislature or the judiciary. The executive arm should purge itself from corruption and under-performance before trying to do same to other arms. If Nigeria has an executive arm that is sincere to the people, carrying out populist policies I see no reason why the legislative and judicial arm shouldn’t follow suit. Bonechamberlain. |

Top economy officials of several EU states say they won’t shun from striking back at the US if the sanctions that would hit Russia’s energy sector and its European partners are signed by Donald Trump. Some suggested EU’s Russia sanctions could also be lifted. The sanctions bill, approved by the US Senate and sent to President Trump for his signature, would immediately affect Russia-EU projects such as the Nordstream II pipeline project. The companies doing business with Russian oil and gas firms include the likes of BASF, Shell, Engie, OMV, Wintershall and Uniper. German economy minister Briggette Zypries on Thursday hinted at the possibility of a full-fledged trade war erupting between Europe and the US, if the latter enforces sanctions affecting European companies. “There is a possibility of counter-sanctions, which the World Trade Organization foresees in this case,” Zypries told German broadcaster ARD, as cited by Die Welt. Describing Berlin’s response to the possible sanctions as “harsh,” the German media outlet suggested the officials were ready for a “trade war” if necessary. There is an understanding that with the new restrictive measures the US is trying to push forward its own interests in the energy sector, Die Welt quoted Michael Harms, Managing Director of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, as saying. "The sought [after] sanctions against pipeline projects are designed to boost energy exports from the US to Europe, create jobs in the US, and strengthen US foreign policy," Harms said. Following the adoption of the US bill targeting Russia, Iran and North Korea by the US Congress, German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel strongly criticized the American lawmakers’ decision. "Our stance remains that we will not accept any extraterritorial use whatsoever of these US sanctions against European companies. President Trump knows that, and so do the State Department and the US administration. Sanctions policies are neither a suitable nor an appropriate instrument for promoting national export interests and the domestic energy sector," Gabriel said in a statement issued Friday. Saying "what happens next is now up to President Trump," the minister once again urged Germany’s American partners "to coordinate our policies towards Russia closely." Nothing more than a desire "to resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine" stands behind the European sanctions on Moscow, the German foreign minister said, stressing that "if the Russian leadership makes a move and we are finally able to make progress as regards implementing the Minsk agreements, it is also conceivable that these sanctions will be gradually eased." Austria has taken a similar stance, with the president of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Christoph Leitl, stating that "Europe must not let this [sanctions] happen." Speaking to the Austrian national public broadcaster, ORF on Friday, the politician said that Americans wanted to muddle the economic relationships between Russia and Europe, to press with their own interests in trade, economic and energy policy. "If these sanctions are implemented, there is no doubt that Europe will be firmly united [against them]," Leitl said. He added that the situation could then be used as an opportunity to lift EU sanctions against Russia, Austria Press Agency reports. Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s spokesman and Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern issued statements lambasting the American bill. Kern and Gabriel penned a joint statement concluding that the fallout from the sanctions “would add an absolutely new and highly negative aspect in relations between the US and Europe.” https://www.rt.com/news/397902-eu-trade-war-us-sanctions/ |
