Nothing is illegal in taking an accused to multiple courts for different offences. Dasuki's numerous alleged offences were split and filed at different courts in order to frustrate their tactics of buying judgement. If this strategy was not employed, he would have become a free man with stolen billions.

It cost nothing to shut your mouth or refrain from commenting when the topic is out of your depth. Learned counsels in court understand the Judges position. Why didn't the counsel to Dasuki give a tenable reason to move his motion or are you numbskulls smarter than him.

look at how a judge is vitupirating. The only reason why the federal govt is trying this case in different court is to get conflicting judgement and create confusion. If not I don't see the reason why three different court would precide on the same case.

And for this judge it is obvious that dasuki cannot get a fair trial from him. Even danladi umar didn't make noise this way. This man isn't fit to be a judge on this case.

A judge should not speak this way nah. Even if the judge is biased. The tone of the judge is suspicious. Why trying a case in three different courts. This man isn't fit to be a judge on this case cause with the way he spoke, no sane person should expect a fair trial from this court. Unless Mr daudu is changed or the judge is changed.

Austrian athlete and daredevil, Felix Baumgartner, known for his super-sonic leap from the stratosphere, has bashed EU politicians for their “idiotic” refugee policies in a lengthy post. He added that Washington is destabilizing Europe “on purpose.”

Baumgartner, the first human to break the sound barrier without a plane and holder of records for the highest balloon ascent and highest parachute jump, made several posts criticizing Western politicians on his Facebook page.

Baumgartner, who is Austrian by birth, but has been living Switzerland since 2012, lashed out against Vienna’s policies, chiding local politicians for their failures in leading the country.

“A country where you are fined for fishing without a license but where people cross the border without passports is run by idiots,” he wrote. According to the Local, this quote, which was posted by Baumgartner in a separate picture, is not new and has been attributed to Czech Republic President Milos Zeman.


Nonetheless, the athlete went further in a follow-up post criticizing German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her “disastrous ‘welcome’ policy,” which he said is not a solution to the refugee crisis, but rather the source of the “problem”.


He elaborated on the issue, saying that police and security forces are “prohibited to talk to the press and express their views on current issues.”

Baumgartner then confronted the “political correctness” perceived in the authorities’ actions, questioning the term itself: “Politics and correctness are as antithetical as Islam and Christianity.”

The people are “righteously angry” with the migration policies as the future Austria “won’t be the same” as a result of the crisis, the athlete argued.


In concluding his two-page long post, Baumgartner suggested giving the Nobel Peace Prize to Hungary’s PM Viktor Orban, who, he said, has done the “right thing” and “protected” his people. He also questioned whether US President Barack Obama, who was awarded the prize in 2009, really deserved it.

Obama “killed more innocent people with his drones, than any of his predecessors,” the athlete pointed out.

Blaming the US for the refugee crisis in the Middle East that has, in turn, flooded Europe with migrants, Baumgartner added that “America destabilized Europe and there is every reason to think that this was done on purpose.”


The controversial post has caused an uproar online, with both supporters, critics, and outright haters posting comments.

Opponents accuse the athlete of being anti-refugee and “evading” Austrian taxes in Switzerland, while supporters praise him for daring to speak out on the issue with hard truths. The viral post quickly attracted comments from some politicians as well, with the leader of the right-wing Freedom Party, Heinz-Christian Strache, saying that “the quote needs nothing added. It hits the nail on the head,” The Local reported.


Meanwhile, Baumgartner tried to stress that he was not against lending a hand to people fleeing wars, but was rather concerned about his native state risking its sovereignty and its people losing their identity and culture:

“It is our moral duty to help the really vulnerable and give them a decent life!! (PLEASE READ 2 times) But the moral compass must not go so far as that we lose our sovereign state and are guided only by feelings. The State has the duty to protect the people and the security in their own land,” he wrote.


“We will have to face the question: How far are we willing to give up our identity and our culture and mix them with a completely different religion and ideology? What will happen to our women’s rights when we’ll have to share this land with a culture in which women do not have rights?” the athlete’s appeal said.

‘Staff kept hiding from me:’ Partner of patient beaten up to death in Russian hospital speaks out

A friend of a patient who died when a doctor knocked him out in a fight, says he didn't receive any help from the medics at the hospital after he had also been brutally beaten by the doctor. The deceased man's partner said the staff were hiding away from her too.
The man killed in a Belgorod hospital in Russia after having been hit on his head by a doctor applied to the hospital feeling very unwell, his family told local Belive.ru source. Evgeny Vakhtin, 56, vomited blood before he went to see doctors with a suspected case of gastrointestinal bleeding, his partner of 11 years Inna Sergeeva said.

The woman, interviewed by Belive.ru, said that she spent that day in another hospital with her mother, so couldn't accompany her partner to the hospital late in the evening, and asked their close family friend to go with the man first.

"He was having a gastric lavage procedure, I was there to support him. When he swallowed the tube, the nurse told him how well he was doing... And then he accidentally kicked his leg and hit the nurse. It wasn't a direct, intentional hit, it was done reflexively, he was having a tube in his stomach," Aleksandr Avilov said.

There have been reports that alleged that the man somehow "rudely offended" the nurse or even sexually harassed her. Some reports suggested the man was drunk.

"I apologized to her for him, saying it was accidental," the eyewitness added, with the nurse allegedly replying: "So is every other man allowed to hit me now?" The two men were then directed to another ward for more check-ups, Avilov said.

It was then that a male doctor stormed in with the nurse, who pointed her finger at Evgeny, immediately after which the medic launched his attack – first on the sick man, and then on his friend who tried to interfere.

"I tried to tell him: 'What are you doing? We are in hospital!' but only received a series of blows myself," Avilov said.

The incident was recorded by a security camera. It shows how two men are beaten by the doctor both with his hands and legs. Vakhtin died from a head injury, while his friend received a number of non-lethal injuries to his head.


When the patient's partner rushed to the hospital after a phone call from their friend, what she witnessed was an utter negligence from the staff, she said.

"Aleksandr sat in the hall, all covered in blood, with his nose still bleeding... Nurses were sitting across from him, but he wasn't even given a simple gauze pad," the shocked woman said.

She added that it took her quite a while to find out where her husband was, as the hospital staff had refused to help and locked doors in front of her. When she eventually learned from her friend that a fight had occurred, she wanted to speak to the doctor who hit her partner, but was told by the chief doctor that his subordinate "was not at the hospital."

"I called the police and said that a doctor killed a patient at the hospital," she told Belive.ru.

While waiting for police to arrive, the woman "accidentally" saw the doctor who hit her partner. A lawyer was already with him, the woman said.

"I told him: 'What have you done?' And he said he was sorry and didn't mean to... 'But you're a doctor, why haven't you called the police or security if there was some sort of a scandal?' I asked him. When he said that he was ready to have his hands chopped off, I replied that doctors like him should have their heads severed [instead]," the woman recalled.

When she confronted the doctor as of why another man was also beaten, he said he was protecting himself as "the man might have had a knife." "But the video clearly shows that it wasn't [the doctor's] self-defense, it was some kind of a frenzy," the woman said.


The video of the incident that happened on December 29 last year, emerged online this week, causing public outrage. While Russia's Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case against the doctor under the article "infliction of death by negligence," many argue the doctor should be charged under a different article, which carries a more severe punishment. Currently, if found guilty, the doctor faces up to two years in prison.

The doctor has reportedly been fired from the hospital.

Taking into consideration the wideness of public attention the case has attracted, head of Russia's Investigative Committee Aleksandr Bastrykin brought the case "under [his] personal control," the committee chief spokesman Vladimir Markin announced
