walking or shopping in dubai airport duty free is enough, u will really enjoy the view, u dont need to go outside from the airport to avoid missing ur nxt flight except if emirate are providing u hotel which i even doubt they only give u transit visa and hotel only if its 24hrs+ and getting transit visa is easy but to know wheere they get it is the wala(the airport is too huge). i will advise u not to leave the airport cos is too big for u to be walking around to get transit visa, except if u are going with someone who have been travelling before.

charleeez: Bro..it means this..suppose your school Is resuming on the 30th of July, the earliest you can enter the US is on the 1st of July..You cannot enter anytime in june but as from 1, 2, 3, 4,.......30th of July you can get into their country. Hope this helps you

He didn't ask for any document,or gre though I wrote both gre and toefl. That's how it went

Black American lady Interviewed me at about 8:30am. I tried to greet and smile but was too tired, didn't bother.

VO: why did you choose pittsburg state uni?
ME: its accredited by the AACSB and.....
VO: (cut me short) that's same with all business schools.
ME: (I just continued talking sha, cause I didn't want all I had planned to say to leave my head). Accreditation by that board is the highest standard of achievement for business schools, and as a graduate student I'd be open to research opportunities. Asides that the degree plan of psu consists of other fundamental components of ther programs like finance, HOUR, Internal auditing and these jobs are usually given to foreign professionals to handle for us in Nigeria(stole this line from mamacita)
VO: where did you do your undergrad study
Me: Uniabuja
VO: what have you been doing since then?
ME: did my nysc, got a certificate in mgt from NIM and joined the family business as a business analyst
VO: what's the business about?
ME: we supply, repair and do maintenance of computer systems for large companies.

Me: Yes, Portland State Uni and...(she cut me short again)
VO: so why did you pick Pitts state over Portland
ME: said same answer as b4 about degree plan of Pittstate

Me:yes I did,I took the November/December SAT exams,then I gave him the score sheet..he read it for a while and nodding his head...he later said,I'm sorry I can't approve your visa,then that sheet was given to me.........Where did I go wrong oh?!...is it easier to get a Visa in Abj?

sorry about that, but to be honest u shouldnt have show him ur SAT result because he didnt request for it, that is what i study about the so fuckig call VOs,they dont want u to be proven u have all the document, cos they dont give visa base on ur document...

u will get ur confirmation after 2/3 days of paying the money by going to the sevis site and fill ur details to check for ur payment status, they let u know if they have receive ur money, and u can print the page as a receipt prior to delivery of original receipts. Hope im able to explain to u?

No! it is not a must. I think you can travel with that visa 30 days before the school resumes.

dkgetmuny: British school of lome ke! no dude, that was not one bit of a factor...when God perfects something for we humans we tend to look at the human factors..well from ur interview post d remotest advantage was ur travel history to the US but above all it was Gods favour...i saw a student of Atlantic hall denied with her uniform on and i saw another two gals from same school aprroved..on a lighter mood, remember mutallab attended british school of lome, so you see it was Gods favour lol

well u guys are probably right, not even my travel history that help me cos i saw on many occasion the VO denied pple wit travel history and not that they travel to cotonou or ghana. muttalab went to the school but he wasnt a student of the school wen the incident happen, i dont think that should affect the decision. infact i got my first visa during those period of incident, though i face hell at some airport in US.

I was just my normal person i wasnt even looking at his face though i was nervous wish i think is necessary as a normal human being. just be yourself and try and do u have the document, they dont care about ur documents.

technolee: Franco, your suggestion was right and it is the cheapest so far. Let him gather all his document and send them through registered mail. It will get down in 10 or 12 work days maximum. I sent a bank statement of account to my undergraduate lecturer studying at tennessee last month and it took less than 10 days self and I paid N350. The price is a function of document size but, no matter what, he can't spend more than N1500. My 2 cents

the best and fastest way to make ur document reach it destination quick is to go send the document at international airport.

dkgetmuny: so got there around 6am, we filled in as usual...i got into the hall and had to submit my I-20 nd passport to the Nigerian support staffs in the hall..the woman was so rude nd sounded like some bitch from the pit of hell..well i am not some1 to be intimidated...i replied her sharply and told her not to shout at me (tho i was wrong by not signing my I-20)..so i took my seat and waited for my number to appear on d display screen...meanwhile today was a good day..many visiting visa's wia issued and a few denied (those denied where deservedly denied.) Nigerians who go to deliver in the US, una better pay una bills complete, else na for consular dem go enter you.so my number appeared and i stepped forward, omo meeen...make una guess who i see inside cubicle...it was d dreaded chinko woman..i was like my own don pee today...

NB: well it looks so simple ryt, my analyses is that the fact dat i av bn to d united states nd came back in due time stood me a good chance...my tourist visa expires nxt yr may. but dis analysis is just human...above all it was Gods favour. i ddnt do GRE but i did IELTS but she ddnt ask for any, obviously my travel history was enuff for her.
meanwhile i will advise you write standard test like GRE,IELTs and TOEFL cos she denied virtually all the guys that went before me for student visa...they ddnt write any test plus dey applied to community colleges..even other V.Os denied all d community college applicants...i know dis cos i sat in d front row and i was eavesdropping all d cubicle. lol

i was nervous when he was asking me question, with my experience applicant dont have to be over too know with them, just act u are a normal person. the vo didnt even ask me to show my for i-20, bank statement etc, only the gtbank slip and sevis fees receipt he had wit him. I WAS FULL OF JOY WHEN HE GRANTED ME THE VISA. my appreciation goes to the entire nairaland member on this thread most especially to these following people( IMPERIOUXX, bigfrancis21, fittty, OjaP, olarwarlay, Yvete)for their support during this visa struggle. My mum will Be the 1 2 sponsor ♍ƺ I have her bank statement of over 9M and I have done the letter of sponsorship @the high court, I will tell the VO I will come back and manage my mumz business which is the reason I wona study MBA to know every details abt managing a business.

but is it a most I have to take her firm's registration certificate and docs since it is not the firm dat is sponsor ♍ƺ? Also I don't have it wif ♍ƺ. Will I Be ask to support my claim of having a firm?
