I am curious to hear from people who have had a fair experience or idea of living in both countries. Thanks. |

Thanks for the input I understand you. Does it mean that once English is the official language, nothing else matter more? nuel80: For language reasons which is a major issue in Germany, I would advice the UK. Haven been in Germany for about 2 months, I can say it’s not easy for people who don’t have comprehensive knowledge of German or don’t anyone who do. As all paper work done here are in German language. |

Hello N/L I'll like to make an inquiry on a topic that could be somehow off topic to this group but important for me. If one is given the opportunity to choose between relocating with his/her family to either Germany or the UK with equivalent opportunity of job security in both countries, which country will it be recommendable to take, after all possible pros/cons has been considered Thanks. |

Thanks for the reply DHA10: In my knowledge and what I observed so far. After interview , visa processing takes 4-6 months depending on your situation. Cos everyone's problem varies, some might go through resubmitting of some ducuments while others may not. Again documents of ones spouse in Germany also matters alot. If your spouse has a valid documents, lives in an apartment that meets their standard and earns very well, then there is high hope. |

Hello dear, My spouse applied for the reunion Visa from an Arab country, it's been almost 2 Months ago and he hasn'treceived any reply yet. There has been no reference for a verification of marriage by a lawyer thus far. We are still impatiently waiting on a feedback from them. EkeneMiriam: Hello N/L, Has anyone here applied for family reunion from another country or does anyone has a knowledge of how it works? I applied from the UK and I just wanted to know if the steps are similar. Also, I doubt they do the lawyer verification stuff cos of the document required on their website.
It's a little over a month I applied now. About a week ago, I sent an email to them to know the status of the application, their response was that the application is currently pending with the Berlin immigration office.
Would be nice to know if anyone has applied outside Nigeria or has a knowledge of how it works and the time line involved.
Thank you. |

Travel › Settling As Medical Doctors In Germany Or The UK ? by Bonn2007(op): 7:14am On Jul 10, 2021 |
Hello NL,
I have an inquiry to make on behalf of a friend.
Which country is better for settling as a family of medical doctors, the UK or Germany?
It's noteworthy that one partner is already settled and working as a Medical doctor in Germany( good earnings), while the other is still in Nigeria.
Is it worthwhile for them to relocate and start life afresh in the UK?
Aside the advantage of the UK being an English speaking country and offering possibilities of faster integration for Nigerian Doctors, are there other advantages to pick UK over Germany?
What are the possible cons and pros of relocating in the above countries as a couple. What factors speak for or against medical practice/life/family in UK ?
N.b they have no kids yet and are both open- minded doctors.
Thanks. |
