If that is the case then a strong immigration lawyer is your best bet. bamdexfarms: BSc and MSc students also file for family reunion as far as they are legally married. In fact, all the fellow students I know are either Bsc of Masters students. |

Sorry about what you are going through. If you don't mind could you specify what Programm those students who successfully reunited with their spouses are into? From what i know, a Student going for BSC or MSC Programm can't file for a family reunion visa. A PHD Student on the contrary has that added advantage. I stand to be corrected though. Perhaps the acquaintances who succeeded in reuniting with their spouses, were all PHD Students or there are other untold key details in their Story. All the best. bamdexfarms: Has anyone here ever filed for an appeal at the Administrative Court in Berlin before? How long does it take and what is the process like? The immigration office in my city wants to deny my wife's application because I am a student despite knowing several students whose spouses have joined them on reunion visas. Has anyone (student) experienced such before? Your general advice are really needed right now as My wife and I are emotionally and psychologically drained I have submitted a rental contract, unlimited work contract, payslips and even a blocked account confirmation of €10,300!. My city is Bonn! |

I can relate with you fully. My case is even more frustrating and depressing. Appointment date May 2021 First Lawyer Visitation November 2021. For unknown reasons another lawyer was assigned to re-start the verification process mid February. Presently the second Lawyer has to start the whole process afresh. This german family reunion journey is f**King annoying and not for the fainthearted but God has the final say. Ewatominiyi: Hello Goodpm everyone Don't know what is d delay all about with german embassy, appointment was November, Lawyer visited since january and am yet to get verification complete mail and they havent contact my husband as well . Any idea on what to do , this long wait to hear from them is killing oooo, 1. One year to get appointment 2. Separating spouse, only God dey safe our marriage 3. And just putting us on hold without any response from them its really unfair to us |

Thanks alot for the detailed and sincere reply. Please where can i find the list of accredited vaccination Centers in Nigeria? Is there a Website? Which vaccine did you take? Thank you. Biggybee: No, i did not sign any document compelling me to be vaccinated.
I came in 3 weeks ago. I was already vaccinated in Nigeria, taken the two shots.
I did a PCR test in nigeria 24 hours before departure which was checked before i could board my flight. (some people claim that with just vaccination proof, you can fly without having to provide a negative PCR test, i know someone that flew Qatar airlines to the UK that was fully vaccinated amd she didn't have to do a test before flying. I didn't want any delay/embarassment since i was using a different airline so i just did the test).
When i landed at Frankfurt, the only thing the border police asked asides my passport was my proof of vaccination. (The card was what i gave them)
When i got to my spouse's city registeration office, i was asked to provide my proof of vaccination before i could be attended to.
Unfortunately, the QR code on the Nigerian verification website was faulty and couldn't be verified, even though i had the card with me, they didn't let me into their office. So i had to go do a PCR test (the result out in 15mins) to be attended to that day...
I was willing to take the vaccination all over again but when i got to the vaccination centre in the city, I explained that i was already vaccinated but verifying it online had issues. So they told me to just take the booster shot alone instead.
I ended up taking the booster shot which then made me have an EU proof of vaccination and QR code.
I have been asked for my vaccination proof in the train, at some shopping malls, before i could sit in a restaurant, at my language school etc.
I don't know if a negative PCR test will be enough for you to come in at the border, but i know that a lot of places/people will ask you for it as you go about your daily activities.
So except you are willing to keep doing tests that shows you are negative every 24 hours, its better you get vaccinated.
If you still have time, do it in Nigeria. If not, do it as soon as you come in (hopefully, the negative PCR test will be sufficient to let you in at the airport border). |

Good Evening NL,
Please I wish to make an important inquiry from those who have gone to the embassy for their Interviews and from those who have travelled to Germany from Nigeria since this Corona pandemic.
Did you have sign documents compelling you to get Corona vaccination in order to enter Germany?
For those who flew into Germany in the last few months, were you all vaccinated and showed your vaccination cards at the German border?
Lastly has anyone who isn't vaccinated in Nigeria travelled to Germany with just a PCR Test?
What has been your experiences in this regard? Thanks. |

Evening to you guys,
Please I urgently need your opinion and ideas. Recently my mum flew into Lagos for her Schengen visa Interview, where she handed over her only Identification Card ( International passport). Unfortunately she doesn't have any other ID card at hand. Will she be able to fly back to her base with only a scan copy of her passport?
Airpeace isn't picking their calls.
Thanks. |

This is quite sad. These Lawyers in naija are so mean and wicked. May God help us all. EngrOsax: Hello fam, my lawyer came for verification today but my mum couldn't fill her form and I wasn't allowed to fill for her because according to the lawyer we were supposed to do illetrate jurat for her in the process of the affidavit since she's the deponent or she has to fill for herself which she couldn't coz she can't read and write. Pls do anybody know what would be the report from the embassy? |

Try to contact the embassy via their contact form on the website. Ganesass: It has been over 3 weeks I sent documents to the auslanderbehorde and they replied that they have approved my family's visa. I have not heard anything from the embassy. Does anyone know how else I can get the embassy's attention or what could be wrong at this point? I call them everyday, apparently calling them does not work. What can I do? |

Thanks for the reply. Due to the difficulties surrounding passport renewals in Nigeria, what happens if one doesn't succeed in getting the new passport before the intended return trip ? Are there any risks unvolved? (its just a 10days vacation in naija). Lexusgs430: Whilst in Nigeria, simply apply for another passport......

Hello y'all,
Please i wish to inquire about travelling to Nigeria with a passport which will expire in 5 Months time. Is it possible to travel to Nigeria and return to my base with a passport of less than 6months validity without facing any problems at the immigration level? The return to base will take place before expiration of the passport.

I am also experiencing the same issue presently. There are definitely appointments once in a while though scarce. You have to be checking consistently at midnight. I saw some slots recently but didnt book because the invitation letter isn't ready yet. bonavin1: Thank you for your contributions, it helps a have a question.. For family visit Visa.. I can't seem to find any thread for it.. I have been sent invitation and my planned date of entry is April.. I can't seem to see appointments online as it keeps saying that they are unavailable at the moment. Even by 12 midnight. Is this normal? |

You are misunderstanding the two. A Visiting visa to Germany and most European countries is the same as Schengenvisa. Just different terms to mean the same thing. Juoflife1: Does Germany have a family visit visa? I think you should apply for schengen visa. |

Travel › Re: Germany Visa Refusal. Help?! by Bonn2007: 2:10am On Feb 03, 2022 |
There might not be anything wrong with the documents provided because these germans are very strict with granting visas.
My mum experienced this same visa denial few years back for the same reasons as yours although she had a sponsor letter. After a very strong and convincing appeal with all possible supporting documents, the visa was granted.
Is your mum still employed ? Is she married? Does she have properties? Infact you need to write a very convincing letter of appeal with other supporting documents you have explaining her strong ties to Nigeria and why she will definitely return. Also don't forget to mention the omugwo part of her visit.
Remember the appeal deadline. Goodluck. |

The statement about Cameroonians ISN'T TRUE. They also go through the lengthy process as Nigerians in most cases. Few Africans irrespective of nationality might have been lucky to experience a swift process. Mrbigman1: This is not totally true. Cameronians bring their spouses as fast as three months from application. |

Please I have the following inquiries to make from you guys.
After the lawyer has visited you during the verification process, does he still goes ahead to request the statements of your witnesses/siblings independently?
How long does it take in average for the lawyer to submit his verification findings to the embassy?
Incase the lawyer outrightly gives you a body language of wanting you to bribe him hugely (outlining and listing travel expenses involved to verify your documents) and you aren't complying totally and he thereby acts nonchalant to your case. What can one actually do?
P.S The lawyer has been on this case since beginning November, till now no finalisation in view.
Please advise me. Thanks. |
