Well written post. It is very inspiring. Can you kindly share, the qualities you look out for in a domain before you decide to register. Do you go for expired domains or you coin the names. And lastly, how many domains do you register on a weekly basis.

Short and memorable names, taken in at least 8 extension so that I can outbound it. I do only expired domains cos I be olodo, I don't fix what is already working, it depends on how hungry I am to feed my addiction

This is not good advise, you can get lucky . Always do research, add names you like to your watchlist even if you don't have money, it'd prepare you for the day you'd hit big!!! At that point you know the names that are sought after and the type of names that sell

Some registrars allow refund not more than 5 days after purchase. Contact cs if they would do a refund, if not just wait gets 60days to elapse then do outbound and request for authcode to transfer out when it sells

I like your response and the fact that you took action to buy a domain. For your next domain, do not buy from a Nigerian registrar as it becomes harder to push or transfer the domain when it sells.
Keep reading you'd understand better as this is just an abridged version of the answer

However, because it's 5-letter, you can be lucky with it. Did you find potential endusers or companies that could use your domain name before registering it?

Basic steps for successful domaining:

1. Get an idea for a domain name for sale,
2. Use Google to research companies, partners, individuals, etc with financial muscle and interest to buy your domain,
3. Evaluate the domain name again with respect to the characteristics of a good domain name, namely radio test, commercial value, shortness, keyword rich, trend/market compliant, not prone to spelling mistakes, uniqueness with few but inferior alternatives, no trademark infringement, etc.
4. Check similar domain sales to understand comparable prices they were sold so that you don't set your expectations too high or shoot yourself in the legs for selling at a low price,
5. Go to your registrar and register the domain name,
6. Set the name servers immediately as you get a domain name,
7. Go to your preferred marketplace and list it. If you're a beginner, start with low pricing to have lots of bites so that you get quick cash to increase your domain portfolio. The more, the merrier! Sometimes, it's a game of numbers and sometimes it's a game of quality. Head or tail, you should have the type of domain name that one or more people want.
8. Hit the pavement and market the domain names to your potential buyers who you identified in item 2 above,
9. Get offers, accept and move on,
10. Remember grace works with this business but not in vacuum. Grace is unmerited favor that favors only action takers or those who have the burning desire to succeed!

However, you can get any information about geo domain as it relates to Nigeria any where in the world not even the paid tutorial. The paid tutorial will help you fast track your reading process and would even reduce the pages as you see banters and jokes flying.... So this thread when you know one read you gats read am to succeed o.
Someone contacted me and said he has read the thread I said ok I can help with any part you don't understand and his first question is "how can he buy domain?" E shock me....
If you need people to help you, you have to make it easier for them by reading so when they are explaining you'd catch up faster. My 2 cents o

Can you tell those who are approachable or who are blunt when giving their counsel?
