Hello all
My younger sister used our dad's Sim to enroll for NIN, because at the time of the enrollment she didn't have any Sim and new sim registration was not ongoing.
Now she has been trying to generate her jamb Profile Code, but they have not sent anything despite several attempts.
They have been charging us #50 for each attempt, but the code isn't forthcoming. It says request successful, but we haven't still gotten a reply with the code as expected.
She has tried with our mum's phone number, but it's still the same thing.

It was just today that she was able to register a new Airtel Sim. She has also sent *NIN and the 11-digits number* to 55019, using this her newly registered sim, but it's still the same thing.

I'm currently in school (in a distant place) so I'm trying all I can to make sure I get a solution since they ain't well informed about things like this.
Please help me, the UTME registration would be closing this Saturday.

In my efforts to get a solution, I have created a support ticket on JAMB website.
I have also Linked her Airtel number she got today with her NIN(maybe it's because the numbers she was using were not linked to her NIN). So I'm hoping for the best.

Please someone who has some experience should please help me.

Ask for the notes, books the lecturer is using. not only for Chemistry but all your courses and their past questions first then, you can look for other texts. There are those that offered the courses last session na.

-While reading, jot down points you get on a New exercise book.
-Then go to Khan Academy website and answer organic chemistry questions.
-After which you get your lecture notes and handouts to answer unfamiliar questions from it.
-That way, you learn to love the Organic chemistry by answering questions.

NB-Organic chemistry is more of inquisitive research which I afore stated.

Omo, the only way to crack that evil course is to spend quality time with it.
I don't think there's any other way.
Like someone recommended,use Ababio.
In my secondary school I was a complete loser at chemistry,it was a nightmare.
But that Ababio changed my story. Chemistry was always my highest score in jamb and putme.
Even all 4 chemistry courses I did in my 100level including organic chemistry, I did well in all of them and it was with the knowledge I got from that book.
I don't think I ever studied any chemistry in my 100 level.

That's allot. I'm really motivated by this.

The concepts do not have a pattern to understand.

eg. reaction A+B=C you'll read heh

but when you read further you realise A+B can give over 100 different products under a micro difference of numerous conditions.

Just want to get the basics and then focus on what's being taught in class. Everything is just strange for now.

Can you read by yourself? I mean reading for like two hours at a stretch on daily basis. If yes. Buy this book. SSCE AND UTME CHEMISTRY by Lamlad publications. Authors : Asubiojo and Ayinde. The books are easily found in western part of Nigeria.

Organic chemistry does not need craming, it needs understanding and practice....as a graduate of chemistry I can gladly tell u that u can't be able to study most of the science related courses In the University without knowledge of organic chemistry, most of the science courses offers chemistry as a borrowed course...

you could tame organic chemistry with osei yaw ababio's new school chemistry.
That's the book I used to subdue chemistry in secondary school which helped me study polymer engineering.
Start with homologous series.
Understand the different families.
Then you must have to draw structures.
Play with structures,manipulate what is and what is not.
You must be able to name what has name and what does not have name.
By the time you are through with abusing organic chemistry,it will turn to verbal aptitude to you.

I wanted to scroll past before but I thought it'd be unfair because many people who ask questions like this are usually clout chasers. nonetheless, I'll advise you to:
1. understand perfectly what hybridization is. Sp, Sp2, Sp3.
2. know most of the popular and common homologous series. the alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alcohol, carboxylic acids and it's derivatives. viz carboxylates, amides, anhydride, etc, alkyl halides, nitriles, etc. and be able to identify the functional groups.
3. be familiar with writing mechanisms of reactions. then take your time knowing reaction conditions. you have to cram the latter though.
4. consult many textbooks for a particular topic to have variety of perspectives on the topics.
I'll recommend you search organic chemistry IIT JEE on Google and download the textbook. it's super comprehensive. if you couldn't find it, quote me and I'll know how to get it to you
