Good day everyone,
Please I need advice, I just finished my masters in Sydney and have currently applied for my post study visa. My hubby just came into the country this February 2022 for the first time due to border closure. The course I studied requires me to work for one year in my field before I can apply for assessment, however, my hubby has a positive assessment for ICT customer support officer with 10years experience.
I researched and found out that ACT and SA both have his course in their skilled nomination list but with clauses. ACT requires us to both live in Canberra for 6months before we can apply . While , SA wants him to work in his field or closely nominated field in SA for onshore applicant.
I will like to enquire, Can he apply as offshore applicant for his nominated field in SA even tho he is onshore? As he met the criteria compared to the onshore application that they expect him to be working in his field .
Looking forward for advice. Thank you |

congratulations!!!!! please can i pm you? fobak203: Grant came in this morning for myself, my wife and my two kids: God has smiled on me and I just needed to lift people's spirit in the house. I will summarize my story at the end
Date of application: 11th August 2019 Documents submitted: PhD offer Letter and Scholarship, Multi-Family OSHC, BSC-MSc certificates and transcript, CoE, Statement of result from Macquarie University, Employment Letters, Study leave letter, Account statement, SOP, Marriage cert, Wifey and children Identity details, Medicals Biometrics: 15th August 2019 Date of grant: 7th September 2019
I have been in australia for a while without family, applied for subsequent entrant and refused. Exactly one year later, having decided the PhD offer to take, I applied as student (PGR) and put my family as dependent. Lo and behold, the visa came in 26days. This can only be God, the speed is outrageous, madam has pilled her legs while praying and sowing heavy seeds with the allowie sent for her and the kids. My message is that. If you have family, do not be afraid to add them to your application.
The other part might be a bit bogus and dicey, these are my thoughts and would like to leave it open to the house to discuss. Due to recent upheaval in South africa, can we boycott that part where you are told to fill closest embassy and send to Australia straight up. I had overheard someone applying from Nigeria did it and no one raised an eyebrow. The bad belle with visa could be stemming from xenophobic influence, I would say. Who ready use matchette comot your head, na him nor go fit reject your visa for you and your family. If for any reason you are asked why you choose Australian embassy and not pretoria, REFER THEM TO XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS ON NIGERIANS. Hope I have not overstepped my boundaries with this one sha| We talk we die, we do not talk we die, let us talk and die |

Good morning house, please I need advice I am here on a student visa and I am planning on applying for my son, hubby, and stepdaughter to join me, I plan on using 2 landed property and lands plus my hubby current place of employment as an incentive to return home also hubby has 10m in his account, but I was told that since my stepdaughter is 18 years old that her chance of getting visa is slim and it might hinder my son and hubby application since she is an adult. my question is should I apply for all three of them or apply for hubby and my 2-year-old son first then afterward I can apply for her? please, I need advice house thanks and God bless. |

Azy123: For the experience look for a statement similar to this
"The following employment after June 2008 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 263111 (Computer Network and Systems Engineer) of the ANZSCO Code."
A month and a date must have been stated on the assessment result as in the bolded above. Calculate from that month till the last day your husband stop working and that is the number of months or years.
AQF Graduate Diploma with a Major in computing this is 15 points

thanks for the reply,i really appreciate. The following employment after June 2016 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 261112 (system analysts) of the ANZSCO CODE.

Sugaro: With these scores, what is the projected Crs? 2. Does ur spouse have masters? 3. If 2. Is no, then u stand a better chance, mind u Dr evaluation doesn't take that long at all, and when u eventually do ur Crs is usually high enough to fetch u ITA in no time with good ielts score atleast 8777 and 3years work experience
4.If ur scores are good with this present ielts scores 7777,then u mustn't evaluate ur degree, however, if u must practice u still need to do so. Yes he has masters degree with 5yrs exp,I have two years working exp Thanks |

Ekpekus: Check the possible score of you and your hubby. Whoever scores the highest should be the principal applicant. I perceive that you are younger in age, with your MBBS being evaluated as a Masters and 2years working experience (Housemanship and NYSC), most likely you should be the principal applicant. But I would advise, you check for both you and your spouse thanks |

KayVann: Dear Nairaland family, Silent reader in the house, I just thought to share my story as I have been so inspired by the posts on this forum. My Canadian journey started in 2015 when I wanted to further my education, 3 times my study permit was declined because of the most ridiculous reasons. I started pursing express entry actively in 2016, wrote IELTS 4 times, has great scores but my writing kept reading 6.5. After my 4th attempt, I requested for a remark in which my writing score was reviewed to a 7, with that, I was able to secure ITA. Below is my timeline ITA 7th August AOR 24th August Medicals passed 3rd September IP 1 3rd September Na2. 9th September Adr 6th December Ip2 6th December Adr submitted 14th December PPR 12th January. Family of 4.
My application was not perfect but God covered it, I used a fixed deposit and I applied as a business owner (partnership to be precise). I had to show proof of business with proof of work done, receipts, pictures and written notes from clients, I turned in our company account bank statement as well. The Adr was for me to provide tax clearance certificates for the companies. This is just to say, self employed have no issues with express entry as long as you can prove the legitimacy of your business. It's been a long and excruciating journey but God gave me the grace to sail through with losing my elements, I am extremely grateful to the Almighty God. Never give up on your dreams, with God all things are possible and he makes all things beautiful in his time. Thank you all for the information freely shared on this forum, may God reward you all with your hearts desire. congrats!!!! |

Newmum0615: If your husband will not lose plenty points for age, and on the assumption that your husband scored better in IELTS, he would obviously be better off as the PA. thanks for your reply,i am 28 yrs old and he is 30 however he scored lrws 6.5,7,7,6.5, he has more work experience |
