I have a lot of experience living in Nigeria, Europe and America, and had the opportunity to visit
few countries in Africa, Asia and Australia.
America remains the greatest country now and likely for a long time as far as economic opportunities are concerned.
America presents you with the good, the bad and the ugly, just like most countries.
Even as a doctor with specialist qualifications, America is still tough.
Everyone can make it in the USA, just that you need to take the right steps, study smart and
work very hard. Give it some years, you will be successful and achieve your goals.
Life is not a bed of roses in America or anywhere in the planet.
The thing is always gravitate towards the area where your qualifications will be needed, otherwise, it will be harder.
As for the Black Americans, they should not wait for anyone to help them, they can organize themselves and push their agendas

I think you are the one who is less informed. The only place where you are required to present proof of insurance before anything is at your Primary Care Physician (PCP) office, Dentist, Eye Doctor Office and other Non Essential medical checkups.

If you have an emergency, you will be treated at the emergency room in the US, else you can sue the living day light out of that Hospital and they will beg you to settle the matter in order to prevent it from coming to trial.

An Atlanta Hospital reached an agreement to continue to treat illegal immigrate for free and they will even treat one of the illegal immigrate who have left the US, if she can manage to re-enter the US illegally.

There is another case in Miami, where an illegal immigrate on treatment in an Hospital, which he was not paying for, the Hospital had to arrange Plane tickets and care for him at his home Country and relocated him there...

Medicaid Helps to defray some of these Hospital bills for the very pool and for illegal immigrates...

I can't speak for a republican state but California. County hospital and also for profit hospital give treatment to illegal aliens and poor then send the bill to the government. Nigerians with no papers get treatment without footing a bill also. I know of this cos my wife works as a nurse.

By working hard we meant; staying in school while keeping good grades, save money for your papers if you don't have one instead of living that fake life. I bought my first house as a student, rented it out and sold it before the housing market bubble. If I was living in Nigeria I wouldn't think of doing such or be able to due to the fhucked up system.

And the cost of living (basic and essentials: food, clothing etc) in america is on average less than naija. Industrialization and economies of scale makes that possible. There's a reason why America has made more self made millionaires and billionaires( a decent number immigrants and decendants of immigrants) than any other country in the world. It rewards hardword and industry better than any other country in the world. My cousin came to the United States in the early 1980's . Dude worked as a janitor while attending college and later married a white lady for papers. He remained focus and went ahead to become a Surgeon. Part of his hobby now is to buy land from people that are in dying need of money in Owerri. I doubt he knows how many properties he has. Most of his secondary school pals in Nigeria are employed by him in Lagos. He owns a gigantic warehouse in Lagos.

I did a year of college in Nigeria before relocating back to United States. Most dudes I went to University with in Naija are yet to find a job. These were very bright engineering students back then. The lucky ones among them came to America for their masters degrees after graduation and are living that American dream as we speak. Baker hughes, SHELL, Apple, Mobile and Microsoft are their employers. These guys are buying properties in their home state and paying their siblings tuition fees at private universities in Nigeria.

The president of the company I work for is a black man bornand raised Iin America. He oversees over 50k employees which are majority of western Europe decents.
