Hello fam, Sorry for the silence from me. I couldn't make comments for a while...I don't know why but I'm glad I can now. Will respond to the comments here and will continue the thread. Thanks for hanging in there ![]() |
highoctane:I'm sorry if I did not deliver what you expected. ![]() You may want to take some 'wintery' pictures and share for people to see too. What do you think? ![]() |
highoctane:I forgive you. ![]() I'm kinda concerned about where you get your news from. You may want to double check to see if what you claim to be true is actually true. ![]() For the record, Niagara Fall wasn't frozen when I visited. I'll leave you to figure out when I visited ![]() Yes, there were warnings and road closures in several US states and some cities in Canada. However, it lasted for a while. When it snows, the freeways and major roads are usually cleared and salted by snow trucks. It is peoples jobs. Thought you should know. Selah. ![]() |
Bordey:Congratulations, in advance ![]() |
More pictures...' These statues were put up to honor some important historical figures. It was pretty cold this morning and it snowed a bit. Couldn't spend so much time to ask questions or read the writings. If you care to, I am sure there are several resources you can find online to learn from. Can you identify any of these flags? ![]()

Queen's Park According to Wikipedia, "Queen's Park is an urban park in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1860 by Edward, Prince of Wales, it was named in honour of Queen Victoria. The park is the site of the Ontario Legislative Building, which houses the Legislative Assembly of Ontario".

Next stop...Queen's Park. Originally wanted to check out the University of Toronto environment but it was difficult to find parking, plus my maps were misbehaving. I resorted to looking around the park. Pictures taken are enroute and around Queen's Park. ROM in the picture is the Royal Ontario Museum. Time did not permit me to visit but I hope to be back sometime. GREEKTOWN here is the largest Greek Neighborhood in North America (source: Wikipedia et al)

These monies feel like the 5-50 Naira polymer notes...
|
Bordey:I guess so. I think what matters is that you have a valid stay in the USA for sometime and have not done anything to stain your records. |
Forgot to share these...pictures of some decor in Kimchi Korea House
|
TWoods:Someone is spilling facts and shaking tables too ![]() I think Canada is trying...give it to them. But it is unfair to compare the US to Canada. You could compare systems - healthcare, tax, etc. But the US stands out in some ways while Canada stands out in other ways. Good to have you on here. ![]() |
rickleye:Lol! I am not Ajala oo. Still learning work from the big people in the game. XMRadio be saving lives... ![]() I couldn't do it myself either. ![]() You're lucky you have people that are willing to stay on the phone with you |
NwaliE01:Thank you...I'm glad you find it interesting. That's great to know. Congratulations and I hope you travel safely. Please, update us...take lots of pictures, and try new dishes too ![]() And please, I'm not male ![]() I know I didn't specify my gender. |
maziude:Thanks for taking time to share this information. I like that you can get into Montreal through New England. I don't mind doing a trip there. Well, good soup na money kill am ![]() |
BeanX:Thank you. I'm a ma'am please. ![]() |
Pionner:Thank you. No, I didn't. I just gave a summary of what the process is like (two to three comments ago) ![]() |
websta:Wow! That's interesting. I trust things are working out great for you and your family. Oh yeah, you gotta do what you gotta do. ![]() If you think and are convinced Canada is the best place for your kids, that's great. Wish you all the best ![]() Hope you get to visit though...? |
degreatestmusti:Lol ![]() I didn't see that coming. While that may be true, there are really cold states in the US too |
Bordey:You can check out Canada dot CA (dot = .). You'll find all the information you need. It is a pretty straightforward process. My friends that recently applied got theirs in 4 weeks (maybe a little less or more). You get to pay around 110 CAD (or so) for the application. Afterwards, you get invited for biometrics. Then when it is approved, they will request you to send your passport from stamping. Then, you get to pay a little close to $80 USD or more for courier service. They will provide you with instructions or you can call VFS global for further guidance. ![]() |
lexy2014:Quite enlightening! Thanks for taking time to share this knowledge. I've learnt something new about Canada. ![]() Much appreciated |
miolad20:Thank you! I'm glad you did. Oh yeah! You should enjoy it but it gets really hot in the summer. You may want to try spring or fall. |
ElSudani:Easy... ![]() Let's enjoy ourselves please ![]() it's a beautiful day |
Celepope:Please, no violence ![]() Are you not a preacher of love? Or are you the indaboski? ![]() |
KoolBigk:Lol...you're looking for trouble ![]() Hope you had a swell time when you visited though. |
Greystone:It is called Jajangmyeon. But really, it is noodles in black bean sauce...with onions, bits of pork and some sides. |
jaxxy:I think so. That is CAD not USD. |
Greystone:Oh yeah! I couldn't ask for a better company. ![]() Solo travels are fun too...I can't say because I've not travelled solo before. But I imagine it is fun |
t2luv1:At the time, gas was about 139.1 - 141.9 or so...can't remember the numbers. Yeah, it was a good route. Glad I used it. Actually, Niagara Falls was the attraction. But we returned through Detroit (via Windsor) |
Japastic: ![]() I'm thankful I didn't. While the freeways (highways) are relatively safe, some bad things happen from time to time. |
dontbothermuch:Lol...it's interesting you think I'm a bro ![]() Anyways, I digress. I'm sorry to hear about that. People have different ways of processing relationships, especially when they move to a new place. I don't know how your relationship with your said brother and his family has been or with your family and his immediate family. However, i think you should give them time. Yes, there's an unwritten expectation that a family member that travels abroad should be on a lookout for opportunities to bring the rest of the family over or to share some good with them. However, people are different. If you want, let's shift standpoints. Imagine you were him, you find yourself in a country where nobody looks like you. And even when you do find people that look like you, you don't even get to talk. If you don't have a stable job (with good salary and benefits), it can be hard. And one with a family, it's not easy. There's a lot of things to say but I can't tell it all. Also, I don't want to assume you or anyone close to him has billed him or complained to a point where he locked up. Again, I don't know what has transpired in the past. I had a sister who we regularly talked. We are both in the US. She was ahead, in age and in the society. All of a sudden, she stopped communicating and responding to my messages or even calls. I was surprised! I got worried at some point because I thought she was in trouble or something. Do I know why she stopped communicating with me? Nope. What have I done? I have respected myself and stopped messaging. I put her in my prayers too. Never billed her or even complained about stuff. Till date, she posts regularly on social media and views my stories sometimes. All I am saying is, pray for them and work on yourself. When you stop expecting people to act in certain ways, you reduce your chances of getting disappointed by them. Selah. |
Srredkita:Great to know. Safe travels! |
