Ekhaladeehan or whatever you call the barnished Ogiso prince died at Ughiton. He never made it to Ile Ife not to talk of becoming Oduduwa. TAO11 already addressed this issue so, there is no point wasting time over it again. Go to page 2 of this thread and get yourself properly educated.
prolog311 prolog
And yes, Oduduwa was born at Ile Ife before sojourning out of the city. He later came back to rule the city and establish the Ooni dynasty. His grandson established the Alaafin dynasty in Oyo and the Eweka dynasty is Benin. Your Oba of Benin is a Yoruba man and no amount of fake history can change that fact.
grin grin grin

Banished to Ughoton and died there?

Stop spewing trash that being dished out by those who knows nothing of the origin of Oduduwa....oh he was born at Ile-Ife sojourned out and later returned.

He went to Mecca right? Keep deluding yourself! grin

Because Ife is the source of mankind. Yoruba, Igbo, Edo, etc all lived in Ile Ife before they migrated to found different kingdoms. Benin was in chaos after the fall of the Ogiso dynasty. They needed a blue blood to restore normalcy and it was only logical that they asked the Ife royalty to send a prince to rule the city. In those days, there was no silly and egoistic war of tribes like we have today.

Beyond your questions though, you can’t argue against the fact that Oranmiyan was a Yoruba man. You also cannot argue against the fact that he was the father of Eweka. And you can’t deny the fact that the present Benin royalty are descendants of Eweka. We cannot change or rewrite history.
Laughable!!! Adam and Eve are from there too?

No one is also denying the fact that the present Ooni is a descendant of Ogiso.

Benin Obas till date are actually Yorubas. The present Benin royalty was founded by Eweka I, a direct son of Oranmiyan. Oranmiyan founded the great Oyo empire before returning to reign as the sixth Ooni of Ile Ife.
A Benin Prince migrated to Ile-Ife and became Oduduwa ( or was Oduduwa born at Ile-Ife?) The same Prince's son returned back to Benin as Oramiyan.

Oramiyan is the grand son of Ogiso Owodo ( the last of the Ogiso's dynasty) and Oba Eweka 1 is the great-grandson of Ogiso Owodo who is also the father of Ekhaladerhan ( Oduduwa ).

Forcing two mature people who have sense to stay together when they have decided against it is a recipe for disaster.

Lilian is a very good woman and I respect her alot, she has kept calm all these while with no scandal and that is maturity. Ubi is mature too to have not said anything bad about Lilian, but the man prick nor get sense.

you are right. A newly made moniker created a topic https://www.nairaland.com/4866877/edo-state-should-capital-south-south and the moderator moved it to front page, the op of the thread started insulting ijaw and tried to turn it into Igbo bashing thread. Both the ss and igbos started insulting the binis, guess which tribe the op didn't insult? Yoruba and the moderator that moved it is a Yoruba Man(myndd).

Till today the op of the thread is still inactive but the deed have already been done
Wow!!! You still have this thread, I unfollowed it after discovering the intent of the op.

But the gullible ones fell for the bait. Although it actually displayed the age long hidden mindset of some people we have always got their back.

This is unlike Bini. The binis I know have pride and don't blame people for their woes.

The British punitive raid was what broke bini. It so pathetic how every Nigerian blames Igbo for their woes.

Unitary government that didn't last beyond 6 months? Under regionalism you guys were lumped with other tribes during the pre-unitary era, but today, you have a state that is almost purely Edoiod, what have you guys achieved?

I am really disappointed, I don't know Edo is also this lowly.

Without the war, we would have been over 20 years more advanced than we are today but we don't blame anybody.

We don't blame Ijaws for the abandon property policy, we don't blame Yorubas for the 20 pounds policy and the blockade that killed 3 million people, we don't blame Middle Belt for the role they played during the war and we don't blame the North for the role they played during the war.

Today, we only blame the North for leveraging their political positions to enforce systematic marginalization even many years after the war and Yorubas for supporting them, but we don't blame any for any developmental issue in the East.
I don't want to go digging up archives, but there are several post on here and elsewhere where the Igbos blamed others for their woes.

That's by the way, with the amalgamation there was no way Benin would have attained the desired glory Independently. We were only added to the west pre-independence after independence we were on our own with our kith and kin. Mid-West was the youngest region that would have grown to be the envy of the country today if that dream wasn't aborted by the coup and other events that took place.

The unitary government was not six months like you erroneously stated. It has been on for 55yrs now if I'm not mistaken.

We are not blaming anyone, I only answered the question our friend Racoon threw up there truthfully.

You would have seen it clearly if Benin was an independent nation and if Aguiyi-Ironsi with advice from Azikiwe did not come with their unitary government.

You said "they're scared to return them to us in case we invoke the angry ancestral powers behind the stolen artefacts to unleash mayhem in their direction."

And I'm asking you where your so-called angry ancestral powers were when the Benin people were being ravaged by the whites from the Portuguese to the British.
Or do they keep African Time too?
If you read your history properly then you won't be here disgracing yourself... Portugal never fought the Benins neither was Benin a hunting ground for slave merchants.

What a question?

The questions you should be asking are what values has Buhari administration added to this country?

OBJ didnt promise heaven and earth but we see what he did.

Yaradua didnt say much but his positive footprints are still noticeable.

GEJ didnt say much aside having no shoes,he left his marks on the sand of times.

What has Buhari done since 2015 aside empowering herdsmen?

MediaGuru36:
A group, the Nigeria Association of Yoruba Pig Farmers’ (NAYPF), has written President Muhammadu Buhari demanding the establishment of “pig colony” in Northern parts of the country, Igbere TV reports.

This comes on the heels of federal government's move to establish RUGA cattle colony for Fulani herdsmen across the country.

Although the presidency has since suspended the programme following public outcry, insinuations are, however, rife that the project may soon be reintroduced in another form.

In a statement issued to Igbere TV by NAYPF’s National President, Rev Bunmi Thomas, he said the plan is aimed at expanding the pork business and growing the economy.

According to him, the initiative, once implemented, will help to “strengthen the unity and economy base of Nigeria”, thereby leading to more employment opportunities.

The NAYPF boss hinted that a team of experts have been contracted from China to help establish a Pork Oil Factory in Abuja, for global exports from Nigeria to other countries.

Politics › Re: AFCFTA Trade Agreement Signed By Buhari: What You Need To Know About It by Born2Breed(f): 10:49am On Jul 08, 2019
jomoh:
The only countries winning in this agreement are the countries with stable electricity and low Labour cost. South Africa is also a big winner in the deal.

Nigeria with the biggest market is surely the highest looser. We don’t produce anything worthy of export and the little we do is not yet enough for our population let alone for export.

In the short term:

The masses will enjoy with low prices and quality products from other countries. The country The country won’t loose and won’t gain

In the medium term:

The masses Will start feeling the effect of it when they find out all they work for are being taken away to other countries through the goods they’re buying. The country will also start feeling the effects when big companies start leaving for cheaper countries to produce and send their products to nigeria. Small companies start dying off when they can’t survive the competition from outside and there won’t be start up companies.

In the Long term:

The masses Starts to really feel the effects when companies start leaving and and people start loosing their jobs en mass. Start up companies cannot survive cos there is no way to start producing what has been produced cheap from another country. The country at these point the country will be in big trouble cos the only source of foreign exchange will most likely be oils as every other thing will be imported. At that rate, dollar will become very expensive cos everyone need dollar to buy that marvelous product produced in Gambia. Even petroleum products will become scarce and expensive cos marketers will prefer to divert their petroleum products to other West African countries where it is more expensive.

A solution is for nigeria to join for a short period. Expose whose companies in SA, Morocco to the Nigerian market, then withdraw from the deal and close the border. Their quest to keep selling to the Nigerian market will attract them to want to sell to nigeria prompting them to relocate.

But

The best solution would’ve been for Nigeria not to have entered the deal in the first place. Knowing nigeria and it’s terrain, it will be hard for us to withdraw from such deal that is if the subsequent government even remembers that we have such deal. Even if we do withdraw from the deal and close the border, we don’t have the will and expertise to deal with the heavy smuggling that will follow.

This is a very bad deal that the president has being cajoled into signing.

Exactly why Donald Trump is fighting against with Mexico, Canada and China is what nigeria is now diving into.
You just nailed it.
