Leading automobile brand Kia Motors Nigeria has unveiled a new assembly plant in Lagos, which is expected to produce 25,000 vehicles every year
The plant named United Vehicle Assembly Limited (UVAL) will be part of Nigeria's robust automotive policy of making the nation a leading manufacturing hub, said officials from UVAL.
Nigerian minister for industry, trade and investment Olusegun Aganga paid a visit to the plant, stating that it was technologically advanced and had quality assurance control measures in place.
UVAL CEO Jacky Hathiramani said, "We are committed to contributing immensely to the development of the nation through this multi-billion investment. We have taken our growth commitment to a greater height in Nigeria and repositioned our brand by supporting the Nigeria dream."
The plant has employed engineering graduates from Nigerian universities and will continue to provide employment for locals.
In line with a commitment made in 2014 to produce vehicles locally, Kia Motors recently launched its made-in-Nigeria automobiles such as Kia Rio, Cerato, Optima, Sorento and Soul. By the end of 2015, the South Korean company will be producing all its flagship models, including sedans, sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and pick-ups in the West African nation.

HealthRe: Ladies; 6 Reasons Why You May Feel Pain In Your Vagina by bornmekus: 6:01pm On May 18, 2015
yusaze:
Ladies can always relate to a sort of pain they feel after a rough bout of sex. There are however other types of pain women feel in their vaginas that may be an indication of something more serious. The cause of the pain may not be too difficult to find out. There are varying and different amounts of pain women may feel in their vagina and these may have a wide range of causes. This article will highlight 6 of the most common causes of pain in the vagina and what the symptoms are. It will also tell you what to do if you experience such pains.

1. Herpes
Herpes is a form of sexually transmitted infection that causes serious vagina pains. It is estimated that 1 out of 10 people will come down with a herpes infection in their lifetime. Herpes infection is characterised by visible blisters and intense pain in the vagina. If you have any of these symptoms, it is best you visit a hospital as soon as possible where you can be given medications to reduce the outbreak of the blisters and the pain.
2. Yeast Infections
In the real sense, yeast infections don’t give pain but pain comes up in the vagina as a result of dryness and itching which a lot of people will call pain. There is a high probability that every woman would experience a yeast infection in her life time. It is good that you get to see a doctor who would prescribe antifungal medications and creams that would eradicate the symptoms.
3. Vaginal Dryness
This is common in women that have reached menopause but can also be seen in younger women. It occurs in younger women mostly as a result of the use of birth control pills which reduces their estrogen levels. A lot of women have vagina dryness and as such, sex is usually painful and uncomfortable for them. The estrogen hormone acts like a moisturizer and if you’re on a birth control pill that inhibits or lowers it, the moisture and lubrication of your vagina would be affected. If you realise that you get unusually dry during sex, visit your doctor who can place you on water based lubricants, higher estrogen birth control pills or other topical creams.
4. His Penis
The female anatomical structure may get as much blame as the structure of your partners penis too. You might want to consider if it’s pain from your partners penetration you experience or that of your vagina. Men with larger joysticks can cause pain during intercourse way up in your vagina. This pain is somewhat hard to differentiate and you may have to consider less painful sexual positions which would be comfortable for the both of you.
5. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
Pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis can be attributed to pain in your vagina during penetration or during your menstrual cycle. This occurs when the tissues lining the walls of your uterus begins to grow in other areas or when there is a swelling of any of the female reproductive organs. Women may also experience excessive bleeding during their menstrual flow. This would require an ultrasound pelvic scan and your doctor would probably place you on hormonal therapy and analgesics.
6. eal
The discomfort of vulvodynia occurs mostly during the insertion of a Tampon or during sexual penetration. In certain women, the pains occur without sexual penetration or touching of the vagina area. This condition comes and goes which adds to the mystery behind it. It is mostly treated with topical creams. For some women, pings of pain are spontaneous and unrelated to sex or touching the area in any way.
Well, the fact remains that if the pains you experience are normal, you should be better in a few days except it is extraordinary. If you feel the pain is out of hand, see your doctor as soon as possible.

RomanceRe: My Fiance Was A Lesbian. Should I Still Marry her? by bornmekus: 5:52pm On May 18, 2015
pukena:
I met her in a church program in December last year. I proposed to her in January and she accepted. my life in the past 4 months with her has been a dream come true. I showed her off to family and friends at will even in facebook. We even attended a leadership training program for two weeks where we birthed a business dream we shall go into as a family. In fact there was no doubt she was in love with me. I spent on her within my capacity without feeling regret. giving to her was a delight. Everything was perfect until the phone call....

I was on a lunch date with her during a break from d office when a call came through her phone. Usually I dont pokenose into her calls or chats. she doesnt like it.

however, something was different about this particular call. I noticed she was uneasy and was kind of trying to pacify the caller with some excuses why she didnt pick his/her call ealier. I got more curios and demanded to know who called. she said it a nobody. I insisted in knowing who she was pleading with.

finally she spoke. my whole world came crashing before me. I was speechless for some time trying to understand the words I heard from a lady I have given my heart to.

she told me the call was a bolt from her past. that she has been looking for how to tell me about it. "I was into women untill three years ago. the guy who called has my pics and is threatening to publish them online to punish me. he wants to link me up to a rich woman but I told him I dont want so he is threatening to deal with me".

I was lost for words. was ds my lady? I was confused. I demanded to speak to d guy myself. she refused. I wanted to explode then she gave me d number. I called d guy and introduced myself and inquired of d guy if what my woman said was true. at ds point d guy flared up calling my woman unprintable words. he angrily told me that my woman came to him long ago and asked him to hook her up with a rich woman. that he wants to punish her for being a lesbian. blah blah blah......so many revelations I cant say her for respect to my woman.

well, the lunch date was ruined already. I coolly but sternly asked her to go home from the restaurant. I was boiling inside. she followed me back to my office. I turned to see her following and wanted to blow up when she calmly said " emmanuel, just know that all ds things happened in the past. am not proud of it but I hv moved on. I came to tell u about it today before d call came in". with that she turned and left. ofcourse d rest of the day wad spoiled for me.

for days I didnt call her. she wud call and end the call when I wouldnt talk much. I was still in shock. d best friend called and pleaded. she said my woman hadnt left her room for days. always crying non stop.

I still love her. I called d guy later and he claimed he was just playing around. dat the pictures he claimed to hv hv long been lost. dat I shud not leave my woman becos of that. that what he did dat morning was to check if my woman was still in that game. I didnt believe him.

anyway I tried to move on with my woman. though I must admit that things are not d way it used to be. I hv lost d enthusiasm.

I was watching man u match this afternoon when my phone rang. it was the same guy. I asked him why he called. he said called to know why am not talking to my woman. I got angry andtold him to stay clear of my life. I cut the call. he then sent me a message that he would like t send me a link to a website so I would get to know whovmy woman truely is.

I called my girl and warned her to ask her friend to leave me alone.

I want to break up from her. pls is ds the right thing to do?

pls I typed this with a phone to pardon some of my errors.
U r lucky u find out this before the marriage. But I will advice u to quite the relationship immediately.pray to God to give u ur own woman.
RomanceRe: Funny Reasons Nigerian Ladies Turn Down Marriage Proposal From Guys by bornmekus: 5:47pm On May 18, 2015
humilitypays:
Even though there seems to be much noise about scarcity of husband in the country, many single ladies are still turning potential suitors down for some reasons I think are funny and trivial.

In this short article, I want to hear peoples' varied view on these reasons; please feel free to add to the list because I am only listing out the ones I have heard or read about.

Below are the reasons:

1. Religion: in as much as I believe in partners sharing same religious belief, it becomes worrisome for a girl to reject a marriage proposal from her boyfriend or new man simply because he is not of the same religious denomination with her.

E.g. A girl who attends Winners Chapel turning down a guy because he attends Redeem, Assemblies of God, Jehovah's witness, etc.

I can understand Aisha, a Muslim girl turning down Tunde or Emeka a Christian, but Tina turning down James or Peter who share same Christian religious faith with her but different denomination sounds funny to me.

2. Community or State of origin:
As funny as it may sound, many won't believe that so many single ladies are still single today not entirely because quality single men aren't coming to ask their hands in marriage, but because they keep turning guys from other communities and States down while waiting for a Prince Charming from their hometown or state of origin.

I have noticed that this is more common amongst Anambra ladies, and whenever I hear such, I just shake my head because while these single ladies are busy waiting for Nnamdi, Emeka, Uche from their community or State, Emeka, Nnamdi and Uche are getting married to girls from far states like- Osun, Oyo, Benue, Kogi...and the ladies keep waiting for them, it sounds funny to me.

Ladies, why limit your chances by striking off guys from some communities and states? No one community or state have same character and trait.

Because Julius from Ondo divorced his wife after two months of marriage doesn't mean that Ayo from Ondo will do the same...so ladies please wise up and stop stereotyping for your own good.

3. Height: in as much as height matters in selecting a partner, some ladies seem to be so carried away by this height of a thing.

If you are up to 5ft7, marrying a man of 5ft7 or 5ft8 isn't bad at all...in fact marrying a man of 5ft6 isn't bad if he has some other great qualities....remember, height won't guarantee your happiness in marriage.

In fact, after spending some time (say 2years), the physical look of your partner may become inconsequential to you because plenty other factors will set in.

And short men don't always give birth to short offspring...if his family have a trait of tallness (if at all such word exist in English dictionary, lol), he will most likely give birth to tall children.

4. His manhood size:
As funny and unbelievable as it may sound, so many single ladies of today have rejected their boyfriends marriage proposal simple because he's not big enough down there. These class of ladies forgot that size doesn't guarantee absolute satisfaction during intimate activities; according to modern research on this.

5. Academic qualification:
Agreed, every lady dreams of dating or marrying a nerd or an intellect, but most times, academic qualification or class of degree doesn't always prove a man's level of intelligence, smartness, neither does it prove he's a nerd.

Some 3rd class graduates are more creative, witty than some 1st class graduates.

Some masters degree holders are more intelligent, learned than some professors.

Some OND holders are more smarter, productive and intelligent than some guys who graduated from Ivy League universities.

Most times its luck, opportunity, family background and life's unforseen uncurrences that land some guys into having the low academic qualification they have, but given time, they may end up higher than the guy with a 1st class today.

So ladies, give guys a fair chance because its not always about degree and qualification; some men who didn't pass through the walls of higher institution today are employing the so-called graduates from top global universities and such will keep happening till the world ends.

5. Position in the family:
I have heard that ladies do turn down a guy's marriage proposal because of his position in the family; mostly because he's the first born child or the first son.

But why?

6. Profession or type of job:
I won't stress much on this because I won't entirely blame ladies, but sometimes when I hear it, it sounds funny to me and doesn't hold water because guys marry ladies irrespective of their profession or type of job. In fact, guys marry even broke, jobless girls, so why discriminate against guys when it comes to their own profession or type of job? What's good for the goose is also good for the....you know na? Lol

6. Place of meeting:
I have heard that some ladies will never marry a guy they met in a certain place, location or environment.

Though guys are also guilty of this, but to me, it sounds funny because where you meet people doesn't matter, what matters is how they behave, their character and personality...because the guy you met in a club maybe more disciplined and focused than that guy you met in the church choir or mosque.

I would love to see ladies start reasoning beyond certain things.

Because you met a guy on the social media or internet, you just write him off as a marriage potential, why? Don't you know its the same people you see going around the street and in church that are also using the internet? Are those ones online ghost?

You can meet your partner anywhere at any time....don't pre-programme your mind as to where you will meet your partner.

Many ladies believe they will meet their partner in their workplace; big mistake, some believe he is in their church; another great mistake, while some plan to meet him at the airport, in certain highbrow environments where they believe rich guys come....please re-programme your mind now!

You can meet your partner in a public bus (most happy couples met like this), on the road, in the market, online (many have), in the bank (also possible), shopping mall, etc. The ideal thing is; free your mind and give guys a fair chance irrespective of where u met them cos you never can tell.

7. Poor English:

This is the funniest of all to me, lol.

Because he can't speak Queens English and form Americana, you just tell him: NO! Lolz

Will speaking Queens English put food on the table? I doubt

Will speaking Queens English make him to treat you like a queen, I doubt.

And Nigerian ladies must also understand that English is not Nigeria's mother tongue...Russians, Germans, French guys, Chinese, Japanese guys don't speak English o...if he can communicate effectively, why the fuss about phonetic English speaking?

Dear ladies, please help yourselves and also help the guys and make life easier for all.

Note: I only felt like sharing my opinion on this issue as a way of enlightening single ladies so that they can make amendments and corrections where necessarry for the benefit of both genders. Let's try and make life easier for ourselves by letting go some funny characters and mindset.

I will drop my pen here for now, see you guys some other time and do have a beautiful week.
When a girl cross 38yrs n still consider all these,Then She wants to marry her Dad.Period!

PoliticsRe: Osoba, Daniel Set To Join APC by bornmekus: 5:33pm On May 18, 2015
dridowu:
There are strong indications that former Governors of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and Otunba Gbenga Daniel and their supporters are heading back to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Daniel and his supporters defected from APC to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) ahead of the 2015 general elections.
Osoba was a founding father of the APC but a disagreement with Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosu, also of the APC, and the inability of the national leadership of the APC to settle the quarrel led to his moving to the SDP with his supporters.
He also alleged marginalisation of his group by the national leadership of APC as the reason for the defection.

Osoba and his group contested and lost the last election on the platform of the SDP, though there were several last minute moves to reconcile with the APC.
Politics is a game.A gambler is always a gamer but I pity the political boys who risk their life 4peanuts.
P.M.NEWS reliably gathered that the reconciliation moves have been revived and delegations from the APC have met twice with Osoba in his Abeokuta home to ensure his return to the party.

Sources close to the two time former Governor of the Gateway State confirmed to P.M.NEWS that the first delegation led by the National Deputy Chairman of the APC and former Governor of Ekiti State, Engineer Segun Oni, met with Osoba immediately after the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Abeokuta.

“I was with oga (Osoba) and the delegation led by Engineer Oni came. They told him to come back to the fold. They even wanted him to withdraw the SDP candidates from the governorship and state assembly elections. However, he stated that inasmuch as he will want to return, he cannot withdraw the SDP candidates from the election at this eleventh, noting that it will negatively affect his political status. He, however, stated that after the elections they can meet again,” our source said.

After the governorship and state assembly elections, another delegation led by another former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi met with Osoba in his Abeokuta home and the subject of discussion was his return to APC.

For now, Osoba is out of the country and our correspondent learnt that when he returns, further meetings on the reconciliation move will be held to cement the agreement.

P.M.NEWS also learnt that Otunba Gbenga Daniel is also set to rejoin the APC fold.

Daniel was a member of the Alliance for Democracy in 1999, but left to join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to contest the 2003 election against Aremo Olusegun Osoba in Ogun State. In 2011, Gbenga Daniel founded the PPN to install his protégé, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka a.k.a. GNI, as his successor after irreconciliable differences with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo-led PDP. GNI, however, lost the election to present Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

In the run-up to 2015 elections, Gbenga Daniel first held a long romance with Labour Party, LP, in Ogun State, then dumped it to join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. But his association with PDP was soured by his frosty relationship with Prince Buruji Kashamu, who denied Gbenga Daniel the Senate ticket for Ogun East.

Of recent, Daniel has been making moves to reconcile with APC leaders and was present at the wedding of Dele Alake’s son at the weekend.

oromankirisi:
Last week I was travelling from Abj to Lagos and had to spend nearly 16hrs on the road cos we had to stop for long hours at some points to buy fuel. The girl sitting close to me was nice and accommodating and so we became friends. We talked about a whole lot of stuff and then she told me something really weird. We had stopped at a filling station in Ibadan and spent quiet a long time there, one of the male passengers offered to buy us food, we politely turned him down and continued gisting. She told me the guy had tried to start a conversation with her at our first stop in Lokoja but she declined, I laughed and said it was only natural..she looked at me and said she had an issue, I asked what, and that's when she told me that she noticed that any guy she dates runs into a terrible financial misfortune, like from millions to zero within a short time and that it had happened to 5 previous men. She said she confirmed this after a pastor had prayed for her, She had gone back to someone she dated 4yrs ago who had lost everything and started afresh. She said he was doing fairly ok again and even had two shops on the mainland, 7months into the new relationship the guy lives with his younger brother in a self contained apartment and still can't say how he got to zero yet again. She said she was in Abuja for deliverance and will suspend dating till she's free from the spirit. I was shaken, I mean these things happen and people are held in bondage unknowingly, so please here's to all men out there; Pray like it's the only thing left to do, you really never can tell..
She must have dated a strong sugar daddy. All those pastors cannot deliver her.She should go n confess n pray by herself.

Christianity EtcRe: This Madness On Marriage Has Got To Stop In The Church. by bornmekus: 6:21pm On May 17, 2015
VOICEOFTHEMASES:
Seriously this madness going on in the church has got to stop. What are we Nigerians turning the body of Christ into?

Why on earth will a Pentecostal Church not let its members to marry a Catholic person. The moment a wedding announcement is made in the church and one of the member is from a different church denomination, you start hearing murmuring going on. Seriously this rubbish has got to stop.

Look at a church like Jehovah witness, there is nothing on earth that will make them marry an outsider, never. The same thing with Deeper Life yet these same people want to come preach for you. Seriously, we have got to stop all this.

In the book of 1 Corinthians 12:27 & Romans 12:5, the bible talked about we being the body of Christ. So it is an error for any pastor to tell any member of his denomination not to marry an outsider. We must put an end to this madness for there is no where in the bible that says a person cannot marry outside his or her church. The bible never talked about denomination, the bible only talked about the church as the body of Christ.

And to you out there that wants to get married and you are letting this issue of church stop you, I sorry for you because you be original mumu.

In case you don't know, God will not judge you on judgement day based on the church you attended but he will judge you based on your works. So don't let anybody deceive you in the name of religion. Christianity is not a religion but a way of life.

So dear pastors make una talk the one una see. Change of topic!

5. Minna

Located in the west central part of
Nigeria, Minna is a quiet and loveable
commercial city. This beautiful town
was a collection point for agricultural
produce way back then. According to
history, Minna was a labour camp for
railway construction and this led to
the gradual development of the town
to now a major commercial city. The
populace in this area are involved in
all sorts of farming. This town is not
densely populated and it has a blend
of several cultures and life styles.
Minna has some notable tourist sites
to her name amongst which are the
Gurara falls, Baro port (which was
used in the colonial days for
transport), The Wushishi Transway
engine (First railway Locomotive
engine and others like Kainji lake

Nigeria, Uyo is a cool, calm, classy
and serene destination. Also in
South-eastern Nigeria, it is the
capital of Akwa Ibom, a major oil
producing state in the country. The
city is loved for its peace and
serenity among other things.
Although life in Uyo is quite
expensive, people don’t mind because
of the low crime and crisis rate. The
inhabitants are predominantly
farmers and traders. With the
increased level of infrastructural
growth and human development, Uyo
is definitely a place to look out for.
The Ibom connection and Le Meridien
Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Ibom
Tropicana Resort and other projects
under construction are some of the
soon to be bubbling spots in the
area.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) informs that the 27 supplementary elections are: governorship (3), senatorial district (1), federal constituency (1) and state constituency (22).

In Abia, the supplementary election is between Okezie Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). The nine local government areas (LGAs) where the voting will take place include Aba North, Aba South, Osisioma, Ugwunagbo, Umuahia North, Isiala Ngwa North, Obingwa, Ohafia and Ikwuano.

276 polling units are involved in the elections, and 179,224 registered voters are expected to vote.

In Imo the re-run is between Governor Rochas Okorocha (APC) and Emeka Ihedioha (PDP) in 23 LGAs of the state. The April 11 election was declared inconclusive, following mass cancellations in over 250 polling units.

Today, 256 polling units with 144,715 registered voters will be involved in the elections.

Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Taraba, as Senator Aisha Alhassan (APC) still has a chance to beat the PDP candidate, Darius Ishaku, and become the first ever female governor in Nigeria. According to the INEC, 159 polling units are involved in the elections, and 127,125 registered voters are expected to cast their vote in 10 LGAs: Bali, Zing, Takum, Yorro, Donga, Wukari, Ussa, Karim Lamido, Kurmi and Jalingo.

Senatorial district, state and federal constituency elections will take place in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Gombe, Kogi and Niger.

Accreditation of voters is expected to run from 8:00 to 13:00. Voting starts at 13:30, till the last person in the queue votes.

BenueBlog:
As brief as the occasion was three PDP stalwarts led hundreds to defect into the APC. His in-laws decorated him and his wife in Tiv traditional attire and also pledged their support towards the realization of his aspiration.

In Naka, headquarters of Gwer-West PDP chieftains including several former council chairmen and aides to Governor Gabriel Suswam dumped their former party for the APC.

The former chairmen were Abaji, Godfrey Ichoghol, and Andrew Ayande while the aides were Francis Nyibiam, a former Adviser to Governor Moses Adasu now current Senior Special Assistant to Governor Gabriel Suswam and his colleague, Anta Igbaato, alias Galadima.

The victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the Presidential and National Assembly Elections has sparked a new wave of cross carpeting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, into the majority party in Benue State beginning with thousands in Aondona and Naka towns in Gwer West local government area.

It all started when the governorship candidate of the party, Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, and his entourage which included his campaign Director General, Professor Steve Ugbah, had a stopover in Aondona, where his wife, Chief Mrs Eunice Erdoo Ortom hails from.

Speaking at the two places Chief Dr Ortom expressed happiness that the chieftains had responded to the spirit of change sweeping across the country by jumping into the train as it made its last phase of the journey and enjoined those still outside to also move in.

He pledged those that his if voted into office, his administration would provide critical infrastructure including good roads, portable water, electricity, and health care even as he would implement the free and compulsory primary and secondary education enshrined in the APC manifesto.
Chief Dr Ortom also pledged to pay arrears of salaries and pensions and also tackle unemployment.

He maintained that he considered Gwer-West as his home since his wife hailed from the area and was counting on the support of the people of the place to make it to Makurdi Government House.

Leaders of the defectors who spoke said the PDP had outlived its usefulness hence the need for an alternative platform to address the yearnings and aspirations of the people.

Who no like better thing nah! P.D.P is a sinking Ship. So, Every body find ur way oooooooooo.
A day will come when they will start tearing Apc membership card cos what goes around, turns around. http://benue.com.ng/photos-thousands-shred-pdp-membership-cards-as-benue-apc-receive-decampees/

Hi Nairalanders. I am a confirm elite of this great forum. I go by the name Sammy.

Last year I packed into a Self-Contained apartment near my school. Opposite me is a wonderful family with two daughters and two sons, with a strict and disciplinarian. father.

I was seating right in my veranda reading because I suppose that's my purpose of being there, when, a young girl of 17years old and in SS3 approached me with an exercise book supposing to be a Maths assignment. I didn't hide the fact that I know nothing about maths. I boldly refused doing the assignment, so she left.

Two days after, she resurfaced with English assignment, and I quickly did justice to it. after the assignment. I didn't know when I said "you're beautiful and I Love you." This is a super story. Please kindly let us know when the next episode is ready.Meeeeeecheewwww

Ever since then, my conscience has been disturbing me that the sex may result to pregnancy. Her Dad is a brutal and uncompromising man.

Please what should I do in case anything go wrong? Because I am already giving up on her due to her Dad. she told me today that she feel guilty ever since the day I deflowered her.

Help me out please. I think my Dad will not support me either because he's more brutal than her Dad. God, help me.
