TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by Bosslady25: 11:11am On Aug 26, 2022
Good day, everyone.
I’m stuck at the additional information page of the dependent form.
I have 3 uk visit visa refusals which I have declared appropriately.
I have written a long epistle addressing my last refusal (May 2022), which I want to put in the additional information part.
Please, people that have experience, is it necessary?? I hope it won’t complicate my application?
Please, help!!!!

Everyone, please , at the declaration page for children age 3 and 6.
I chose “ I’m the parent/legal guardian of the child aged under 18”...
I noticed that it took me to the a point where it asked for the relationship between the parent and the main applicant !! Instead of between the main applicant and the child.
I filled in child... but it’s still asking for more details.

Thank you!!
giselle237:
name on international passport is her name. It’s fine tht she has an affidavit to explain her change of name on the BCs

Please everyone, if a dependent’s passport is in her maiden name ( Eg Jenifer Ada Okoro) and her name on the children’s birth certificate is in the husband’s name (Jenifer Ada Lawal)... in the children’s application form , which surname should she use?? They are all applying together.
Note: she has sworn an affidavit for confirmation of name, that she is the same person.
The husband filled her maiden surname under the spouse details.
Thank you.

If no one depends on you financially then that's a No, that question is regardless of who applies later to join you as a dependant

The part to address all your visa refusal is in the relevant sections where you declared your refusal not the additional information

A summary of each visa catergory, date applied and refusal reasons should be sufficient

Cheers
Hello everyone, please I’m filling the PBS partner dependent visa application.
The question do you have anyone depending on you financially? I answered No, (because I’m not working presently). Hope, it doesn’t matter because it didn’t bring where to input my children’s details.
At the additional information part. Please, is it necessary to address the issues raised in the last refusal(May,2022) here? Or should I just move on and not talk about it? Will the visa officer expect me to address all the issues raised in the previous uk visit visa applications in this one?
Note: I have declared all previous visa refusals.

Please help. I don’t want to make any mistakes.

Thank you for the response... I meant that my husband is the main applicant for the student visa.
My last refusal was a visit visa. The issues raised can be addressed by me.
I learnt that settlement visa takes time... school resumes next month.

Everyone please, help with this...
Hello everyone, I posted my visit visa refusal letter on this page some months back. I also asked advice concerning the student route.
I plan to apply in few weeks time for the dependent visa alongside my husband(MA)
The issues;
1. Do I need to write an introductory letter to address the recent refusal or just let go?
2. I mentioned my 3 kids in the last application, now we are applying with just two kids . Should, I still mention my first , though he isn’t traveling with us? Also, is my hubby supposed to mention him as his step-child in his own application?
3. My ex submitted a settlement/dependent application for my first child, we are waiting for his passport to come out... hope it won’t be a problem to this application?
4. Lastly, I’m still a stay at home mom... I hope this won’t affect my application negatively.
Please,advise accordingly.Thank you.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 3:28pm On Jun 11, 2022
Thank you. We will just stick to the plan .
Though, I know my family will be willing to pay part of my fees if I was the one schooling.

Ray7878:
Ok trust me the settlement thing is a bit too complicated in this scenario. I don’t even know which angle you can use to get through settlement. Your siblings cannot file for you, nor could your mother just because you are over 18 etc.

You guys would get your visas via your husband trust me, don’t be anxious and create confusion. Most people who are born in the UK don’t have any clue about what others go through when it comes to immigration. I had to learn about laws and speak to people on here to clue myself up. So pls don’t let anyone give you the wrong info.

If your husband is getting his stuff sorted out then you and your kids would GET your visas as his dependent, Once you are here then you can explore your rightful options before he (You and the kids) is due for renewal.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 3:22pm On Jun 11, 2022
Thank you,I definitely will.
What about the issue of me schooling, instead of my hubby? What are my chances of getting the student visa?

giselle237:
Pls tell them this
You have to come to the UK on your own merit - study or work
They can’t sponsor siblings - no such route exists in the UK. Route allowed- one can sponsor spouse or minor kids - even that is a process as you probably know; parents is extremely difficult, almost impossible
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 2:57pm On Jun 11, 2022
Amen. Thank you. We will just stick to the plan then.

adelejane:
why won’t you just let your husband apply for a student visa as you initially planned and just work well to put all documents together and pray about it . It will be granted by the grace of God . Sometimes we don’t have a choice but to spend lots of money to achieve our aim. This settlement matter is complicated ooooo that’s even if there’s anything like that . But see what the gurus have to say .
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 2:47pm On Jun 11, 2022
That’s what my siblings said... I decided to ask for advice here because I’m confused.
giselle237:
settlement for you on what rules? Whoever is saying this does not know there is nothing like that available for you?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 2:40pm On Jun 11, 2022
He was oh... someone advised that I school while he works , hence, the change and confusion.
Well, that’s the same question I asked my siblings too. That’s why I need the advice.
I’m just confused.
Ray7878:
Quick question because I followed your story prior to this, on what basis did your siblings want you to file for settlement visa?

And I thought your hubby was already getting sorted which makes it easy for his dependent (You and his children) to be granted visas easily.

I don’t think you need to complicate things. But am sure there are others here who would have more advise for you.

And honestly why do you need an immigration solicitor?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 1:41pm On Jun 11, 2022
Good afternoon, everyone. Please, I need your advice again.
I got my 3rd visit refusal, May,2022( 1st-2007, 2nd- 2014)...nothing fraudulent.
My hubby got a UK masters admission in March,2022 and I intend to travel with him as a dependent.
Some weeks back, he decided that I should apply to the same school, I did and was given an unconditional offer too.
Now, I will be the main applicant with him sponsoring me. Note; he has never applied to any embassy before.
The issue now is, my siblings in the UK( they were born there), suggested getting an immigration lawyer to file for settlement for me and my family from Nigeria , instead of me spending money on a student visa.
My question is , how possible is this with me been in Nigeria? Should I still apply for the student visa and while they get an immigration lawyer when I get to the UK?
Please, advise on the best steps to take.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 6:35pm On May 31, 2022
Yes... I picked it up yesterday. The collection mail came in over a week after the refusal mail.
HRprof:
Have you received your passport ?
When did it arrive ?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 6:33pm On May 31, 2022
@giselle237, thank you for the response. I have always mentioned my family members in each application and declared each refusal.
giselle237:
@bosslady no the student visa is point based. As long as you both meet the points it will be granted. Make sure to declare all refusals. Being a full time housewife will have no bearing on you been granted a student dependent visa.
Read the page 1 of the uk student thread. Meet all the requirements and apply, then hope for the best
As for your parents and siblings.. you have to declare everyone of them.. I hope in the previous refusals, they had been declared as well.. any variance in this is cause for alarm
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 5:25pm On May 31, 2022
Hello everyone, please, kindly advise.
I got a visit visa refusal this May. I posted this in previous thread. This was my third visit visa refusal in 15years( 2007, 2014, 2022). The 2 refusals were based more on my economic circumstances ... (nothing fraudulent)
My background: My parents and siblings have been in the uk for years(30)
My husband got a uk masters offer March this year( before my visa application) . He didn’t pay the deposit because we were looking at the funds involved ( if it’s worth spending that much money for a year program).
Now, he has decided to pay the tuition deposit and go for the program with our children and I as his dependents.
The issue; hope my previous refusal will not hinder his application (this is his first time applying to any embassy ,same for my children too, because he wants us to apply as a family.
Can my application be refused because I’m a full time mom for now (trying to setup a business)and my recent refusal was May ( hope it won’t look somehow? Though, he got the offer letter before I even applied for the visit visa).
My children are aged 2+, 6years.
The university he is going to is in the town where my family reside, hope this won’t count against the application too? My lack of family ties in Nigeria.
Thank you.

Please, who has experienced this?

So so sorry ma’am. It is painful. You dnt need to paste anything here to prove anyone right or wrong. Visa refusals are so hard. I acknowledge this in strongest of terms. sorry maam
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 9:48pm On May 20, 2022
I could have pasted my cover letter here but it is quite detailed ( I got tips from the group when applying)... I mentioned in the cover letter that my program ends April 2022. I highlighted the funds in my account and the fact that it was from hubby and family members. Which is evidenced in transaction details. I also stated that my brother was fully funding the trip, because he wanted me at his wedding ( which is true). I’m the only one out of 5 siblings not attending. Everyone is in the UK.
It’s quite painful ..,

giselle237:
as a student, introductory letter from the university/college/institution is one of the basic things to provide… in this, the school will introduce u as a student, when u entered, how long u have left and then end with no objection to your travel, u didnt get a letter from schl because for obvious reasons it will be mentioned that programme will end in April 2022.. then for your finances, your brother will fully cover the whole trip… because you can not afford to.. why do you have to take a holiday that u can’t afford..
Or why can’t your spouse sponsor?
your brother and mom are british citizens, if you decide not to return you will have enough coverage and no fear and can relax.. mom has a house, I dnt know if u mentioned this one inside too.. u will have free accommodation… they have to put all into perspective and this is what they did.
Your finance, eco got bamboozled, so many credits, so many withdrawals and can not accurately gauge your personal financial circumstance. On a scale of all the above, they took decision to refuse.
I am not against ur reapplying, I just want to know the points to tackle the refusal u want to use.
You can try if you dnt mind the possibility of another refusal, make your children and husband a project and let your brother feign anger as a citizen as to after his contributions in terms of tax etc to the british economy why his blood relative will be refused an opportunity to attend his wedding… i dnt know if it’ll work but sometimes emotional strings covered with compassionate request in not so obvious form works.

We just started the second semester exams when I submitted my application. As it is, I haven’t even graduated because results aren’t out yet.
Maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned it then, I just didn’t want to fill in unemployed alone.
My husband and kids were my ties.

Bosslady25:
I already stated in my application that I’m a stay at home mom of three kids, with regular income from my husband and family members (siblings in the UK).
I detailed all my circumstances in my cover letter.
I submitted my admission letter for the start of my program. The program started last year May. We finished exams last month, still awaiting results.
I didn’t submit any letter of introduction from the school.

quote author=giselle237 post=113017588]@bosslady
In a summary In the light of above, I am not satisfied that your personal and financial circumstances are as stated by you. I am therefore not satisfied that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit and that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor.
Denial reasons
1. Outdated letter from institute
2. Student who declared no income, no savings yet multiple credits and great expenditure than declared
3. If your program is ending April 2022, and we just passed April 2022, how does that institution serve as a tie seeing that you have finished with them?
You indicate you want to reapply… how do you plan on addressing all the stated? The financial information is in a mess, the studentship tie received by eco is outdated, if you reapply it will truly show the program has ended and u basically do not have a job or school to come back to…
Plus this is a fully funded trip.. for a wedding… what convinces the eco that after the wedding you will come back or that you wont stay back and rely on public funds or stay back to seek asylum?

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 7:12pm On May 20, 2022
Hello everyone, I just got my refusal email.
Please, I want to reapply immediately and address all the issues raised by the ECO. The ECO wasn’t fair.I didn’t submit any introduction letter from the institute. Just the admission letter,ID card and I stated in my cover letter that the program was ending April,2022. We wrote our final exams April. All these are verifiable.
My brother wrote a letter that he was fully funding the trip. Supported by my mum too. With valid documents to support these.
My bank statements has a lot of income and expenditures because my husband and family members send regular money to it. I even highlighted it and mentioned it in the cover letter.
I run my daily expenses from these account too.

I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because:
 You have applied to travel to the UK for a period of 13 days to attend your brother’s wedding.
 You state that your brother will support you financially for the duration of your visit and I have considered the information you have provided to demonstrate this. However, I must consider your personal circumstances as portrayed in your application form and the supporting information.
 You state that you are a student in Nigeria and do not have any income or savings. You state that you spend NGN - 80000.00 – (£-155 Oanda .com, 19/05/2022) every month.
 In support of your application you have submitted, your I.D.document, a letter from your college dated 19/05/2021 and a personal bank statement from your which I have considered.
 From the information provided I have been unable to establish your current and financial circumstances in Nigeria. I also note that you have submitted a letter from the national Teachers Institute of Kaduna along with your application. However I note that this letter is dated 19/05/2021. I am therefore not satisfied the information you have provided demonstrates you are engaged in ongoing studies or that you are a continuing student.
 I have also acknowledged the personal bank statement submitted from GTCO along with your application. I note that it does not reflect your monthly expenditures as

declared on your application form. It shows that you spend much more then what is stated. I am therefore not satisfied that you have given a reliable representation of your current personal and economic circumstances which undermines the credibility of your application.
In the light of above, I am not satisfied that your personal and financial circumstances are as stated by you. I am therefore not satisfied that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit and that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is refused under paragraph V 4.2 (a) & (c).

Hello everyone, please is it advisable to send a third enquiry about visa application status?
The first paid email was 9th May, second was sent 15th May. The response to both mails was “awaiting decision “.
Biometrics was 5th April.
Will UKVI still issue a visa if the event that one is going for takes place before the passport is released.
Thank you.

No oh... I thought there is a difference in visiting a family member as opposed to being a tourist.
It’s standard visit visa.
giselle237:
did you pay 1500 or 3000 british pounds as application fee? Will you be staying in the UK for more than 6 months?
If not it is not family visitor visa. Family visitor visa also takes minimum of 24 working weeks to be completed so you have it all wrong.
So again check the visa type you are referring to—- for standard visit visa it will take minimum 30 working days.
