JPB2:This is the combined experience of people I know. It is for dependent visas for children under tier 2, tier 4, tier 5 etc. This list is not absolute but a guide. Single mother with dead beat father needs court order showing sole responsibility if she wants to travel with the child. DIVORCED MOTHER: What you’ll need: 1. The divorce certificate- I hope this is self-explanatory. If not applicable to you, skip to next. 2. The Guardianship/Sole custody Certificate- this is a court appointed certificate obtained when you apply for sole custody of your child. It can be a long-drawn process, depending on how bad things are with your ex-husband,and it involves multiple tasks( for example, publishing a news ad that you have applied for sole custody etc) The certificate made in some countries is standardized. Invest in a VERY good lawyer. 3. Permission from court for the minor to travel abroad- after obtaining the Guardianship Certificate, you will make an application for permission to allow your child to travel with you to the UK. The reason for this,is that some sole custody Certificates are standardized, and some might have a clause saying if you have sole custody — all is well provided you don’t remove the child from the country. This is why this permission from the court is required IN ADDITION to your Guardianship Certificate. You can have this worded according to your circumstances, but make sure the main objective is clear: Child allowed to travel to UK with mother. 4. Once you’ve acquired the above three documents, apply for the visa, and you can quote in your cover letter that you have met the conditions laid out in Paragraph 319H(f)....please read through the paragraph so you understand what I mean. U would need above documentsp plus u have to provide evidence how you are going to study and care for that child 24/7 without depriving child from parents care and love WIDOWED MOTHER: 1. The death certificate of the father-again,self explanatory,I hope. 2. Sole guardianship certificate- as above. You will still need to apply for a formal Guardianship Certificate appointed by court. The process is very similar as to the divorced mother, but there is usually no one to challenge/contest the Guardianship. 3. Permission to travel from court-as above. I hope this helps- Please do not DM me to ask me questions about your circumstances. I cannot offer you marital advice or legal advice. The documents I’ve stated are absolutely necessary. I don’t know of any alternatives. When in doubt...google. Feel free to add information I may have missed out. Good luck! 7 Likes 1 Share |

AskGod07: Not necessarily. I have travelled several times with my children - without my husband and he did not provide any consent letter. If you are still married, once you provide your husband's information in your form, you don't need any letter. That is my experience but feel free to get the letter if that makes you feel better. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 12:42pm On Aug 07, 2022 |
johncreek: You can use three months - if you don't have up to six months. Use whatever you have and fill your form very carefully. Good luck! 1 Like |

Hello everyone, I'd really appreciate some help/advice. I've been given admission for a Master's programme in the UK that begins on the 19th of September and the deadline for me to be present is the 14th of October. Due to some delays, I am only now trying to book for the Biometrics at TLS Contact, VI. The appointment dates there, at this moment, show the 26th of August as earliest date available, and I'm worried I will miss my window to resume if I have the biometrics on that date. My questions are: 1.} Are my fears unfounded? Will I be able to make it within the time frame? 2.} Is it possible for me to book for a date but go to have the biometrics at an earlier date? Would that work? 3.} If I wait a bit before booking, would earlier time/date slots open up, or am I wasting precious time already? I sincerely appreciate any responses. |

RhylanTraveller:There is a student thread. Post this there for concise info |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by temodent(m): 2:18pm On Aug 07, 2022 |
RhylanTraveller: Your fears are not totally unfounded, you however, still stands a chance of meeting up provided you've already have your maintenance fund running and it's already or almost 28days, hoping you've done your tuberculosis test as well. Kindly book your biometrics if the conditions above had been met. You can try a walk in after booking there's no harm in trying, you could as well keep checking their portal after booking, you might be lucky to get a closer date. The choice is yours, wish you all the best. 1 Like |

temodent: Thanks so much for responding. Yes I've done my TB test and gotten the result. Concerning the maintenance fund, my blood-related uncle living in Germany is providing his bank statement as Proof of Funds, along with a Letter of Sponsorship stating that he will be covering my financial needs for the duration of my stay. Is that enough, or are we missing anything that might cause an issue? Also please, the walk-in. Do you mean going in with the money required for a Flexi appointment, so I would be able to pay and have my biometrics there and then? Thank you for responding so far, I truly appreciate it. |

Your uncle can only sponsor you by paying the money into your account or your parents account. He cannot directly sponsor you using his account. RhylanTraveller: |

RhylanTraveller:This is why I suggested the students thread. If you went on there you will know the bolded is your fastest recipe for disaster in a Tier 4 visa application. Pls the bolded is not possible. Check the students thread again especially page 1. https://www.nairaland.com/7267459/uk-student-visa-tier-4#115440202 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hello everyone, I posted my visit visa refusal letter on this page some months back. I also asked advice concerning the student route. I plan to apply in few weeks time for the dependent visa alongside my husband(MA) The issues; 1. Do I need to write an introductory letter to address the recent refusal or just let go? 2. I mentioned my 3 kids in the last application, now we are applying with just two kids . Should, I still mention my first , though he isn’t traveling with us? Also, is my hubby supposed to mention him as his step-child in his own application? 3. My ex submitted a settlement/dependent application for my first child, we are waiting for his passport to come out... hope it won’t be a problem to this application? 4. Lastly, I’m still a stay at home mom... I hope this won’t affect my application negatively. Please, advise accordingly.Thank you. |

Good evening house and a happy weekend. For a woman who is married and has a change of name already, can she use an account in her former name for proof of funds at the UK embassy? I would really appreciate it if I get a very good explanation |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by RhylanTraveller: 5:38pm On Aug 07, 2022 |
giselle237: Yes, I asked the question there after your prompt. It's a bit disheartening to see that it won't be usable, but I'm thankful for getting the information before I submitted. I'll be following the student's thread very closely now. Hope you have/had a good day. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by JennyBay: 9:33am On Aug 08, 2022 |
Manydethink: One those UK ECO forget to believe that Nigeria government web application lacks proper management and better IT professionals to create centralized database management syn. Sorry for the refusal. If you search your company on https://search.cac.gov.ng/list you will see below output. 1. The refusal simply means that the address on CAC website was not tally with you address on the application. 2. Whenever there are deposit or transfer greater than you monthly income in your statement of account, you must explain the source and the reasons for the money. 3. Try to amend the CAC issue to make your Business registration active. The ECO just wanted to find a way to refuse you application. Sorry you can reapply once you've resolved the the listed eye catching issue on your refusal letter. 3 Likes 1 Share
