Good morning, everyone. I got this response this morning from UKVI; “With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, your visa is still being processed and its status is Awaiting a Decision.“ Biometrics was done 5th,April. Family Visitor’s visa Saturday 21st May is supposed to be my travel date. sensisosu: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 9:29am On May 17, 2022 |
Bosslady25:did you pay 1500 or 3000 british pounds as application fee? Will you be staying in the UK for more than 6 months? If not it is not family visitor visa. Family visitor visa also takes minimum of 24 working weeks to be completed so you have it all wrong. So again check the visa type you are referring to—- for standard visit visa it will take minimum 30 working days. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bosslady25: 9:46am On May 17, 2022 |
No oh... I thought there is a difference in visiting a family member as opposed to being a tourist. It’s standard visit visa.
giselle237: giselle237: |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 10:26am On May 17, 2022 |
Bosslady25:if visiting a family member less than 6 months and/or if they are on a temporary visa like work or student it’s still standard visitor visa. Also if applying for tourism it’s standard visitor visa. Applying for short course, same standard visitor visa. The family visitor visa is as I have explained above and for visiting spouse, child, relative to care for them, can stay more than 6 months, might need to pay health surcharge and costs between 1500 to 3000gbp. Hopefully they answer you this week as you have entered the 6th working week. |

Please, I'm asking for a sister, and I'm confident that I'll receive the greatest response here, so please help me out; here's her speaking now; I am a 36-year-old single woman who has been working for over two years with a monthly salary of 300K and a savings of 2m+plus. I plan to visit the United Kingdom as a tourist in September for 10days and will be budgeting 1m for the trip. My company's CAC profile shows that it is inactive. I am planning applying by 1st week of next month Could you please provide me some honest opinion on my chances of getting a 6-month UK tourist visa considering the points below 1. I am a single lady of 36years 2. My company's CAC profile is indicating Inactive 3. My monthly salary vs my saving vs budgeted amount for the trip 4. I don't have any landed property yet 5. I don't have any travel history Please help out. Thanks. |
