Hi everyone I hope I have posted this in the right section . I just want your opinions on this matter... I am a British woman very happily married to a nigerian man he is ikwerre, we have four children together. We currently live in the UK and are planning to relocate to portharcourt next Christmas my husband is into export business so money will not be an issue. My question is how is a white British woman accepted in Nigeria we will be moving to his village not far from PH.
I trust my husband that this is a good move as I am fed up with UK work to just pay bills only and owning house in UK is a joke as government can sell if you get sick or die.
I would just like to know if I will be accepted in Nigeria?
I am pretty much submerged into your culture I cook every kind of soup stew and rice dish. In fact in our house we eat mostly Nigerian food I am also aware of the cultural differences. We are both born again Christians too I know God is everywhere so I have faith that this move will work out by his grace.
Any contributions on my post would be very much appreciated... Thanks in advance
Don't get confused I will advice you consult the head pastor of the Reedem Christian Church in London since you are a member, they are the best to guide you and lead you. Gudluck.

Like i just mentioned, your chances of getting a study permit with ESL or the wielding/fabricator program is almost zero. All these non degree programs can be gotten in nigeria.

A visa officer will want to know why you will spend so much to pay for your flight ticket, program fees and accomodation just to get something that you can as well do in nigeria for less.I don't think you will sufficiently prove that to them. So develop yourself more in nigeria(go for more trainings, enroll in some professional courses) and then after that, you can go for a program that will be worth the expenses in canada. A degree or higher.
Thanks for saving a life, well digested.

If by "ESL" you mean the English as a second language program then be rest assured you are VOLUNTARILY going to dash your money for application fees to CIC to use and buy more papers and ink for thier office.

English is the OFFICIAL language in nigeria and also included as a compulsory subject/course in the 6-3-3-4 educational system of nigeria. So depending on your academic level, you are assumed to have learned the english language in nigeria or if english is what you really want to learn, there are plenty TOEFL/IELTS centers to enrol for that. The VO will point to you doing it here in nigeria.

So my bro/sis, save your money and forget that ESL program in canada. 99.9% percent your application will be refused for purpose of visit.
Thanks for the clearification. I really want to study non-degree wielding and fabricator after the ESL,do you think I can be given study permit for this program?
