The Exchange Visitor (J) non-immigrant visa category is for individuals approved to participate in work-and study-based exchange visitor programs. Most individuals choosing to come to the United States on a J-1 visa exchange program are funded privately. J-1 visa exchanges include a cultural component that gives participants the opportunity to engage more broadly with Americans and share their own cultures with their U.S. host communities. They return home eager to stay connected, to expand their networks, and to explore future exchange opportunities as “citizen ambassadors.”

Thanks for this great enlightenment but an individual still most find a program sponsor that will find them a job placement with the paper works, that is what it meant by Sponsorship and it is required by the Government for the program. Please anybody that has gotten the J1 visa in the past should throw more light how they go about finding a sponsor and there charges.

People that has gotten J1 work and travel visa should please help with there sponsor's name, the process and the cost collected by the sponsor.

Please I need informations on J1 visa from the experienced people. Kindly state any sponsors you've used in the past and the cost requested by the sponsor .

Rather than trying to make up stories!
Have you thought of TELLING THE TRUTH?
You know where it came from, no one here does!
I know it is strange to some people but TELLING THE TRUTH often works best.

Ooh you see that as trying to make a lie? Lol! Anyway I thought its not necessary telling stories about the money since I already indicated am self employed with not regular income. Ok the money is a recovered debt from a long time debtor.

salsera:
Are you asking us how to explain money deposited IN YOUR OWN ACCOUNT.

Isn't it your account
Don't you know who deposited it.

You dont get it ma'am, yes am depositing it myself just want to know if any meaningful explanation will convince the ECO with my above previous travel history and the present Education and work. Suggestions are highly welcome on my status for a successful TRV.

Great Nairalanders please I need to ask this, as a Nigeria university current student with UK previous travel history willing to visit UK again but a self employed with no regular income, though he will be getting 500k to his bank statement to apply for the visit visa. Please advice how to explain this huge deposit into his account.

Please ppl I will like to ask this doubting question. An Uncle who is a British citizen is sending me an invitation letter without any supporting documents, he claimed he will include his contact in the letter for ECO to contact him if need arise. Pls is this possible with just the letter alone ?

None

Application refused with the following reasons:
Purpose of visit
Personal and Financial Assets.

It is well my bro, is not the end of road. I noticed they refused ppl on purpose of visit thisdays even with your registered conference invitation,I guess they have new rules that want a strong purpose of visit now...Let the new applicants work on it. Please how much is the application fees now?

RetailCity01:
[Thanks for your concern bro what is NO CLOSED Application. And how do I go about the appeal.
quote author=Bostin post=39781732] My bro I wonder oo. I can't believe they could refused your kids despite your proper documentation, anyway I once had a similar experience of refusal for the purpose of visit even with my paid conference invitation with receipt. I suggest if the decision is no CLOSED application, you can make an appeal ... Best of luck.

Sorry bro I was trying to say if the decision was a CLOSED application which the attached refusal letter will indicate, that means you will have to make a fresh application and if not CLOSED decision, you will be given option to appeal there decision which you will find in the letter enclosed. You can make a notarize appeal letter yourself addressing there reasons of refusal ,why they shouldn't have refused your application. Just return same documents back to them. If not make a fresh application and address the precious refusal with a letter... Best of luck .
