Please I need your help
1) An object just bebins to slide on a surface inclined at 30 degree to the horizontal,the co-efficint of friction is what?
2)Two forces each of 10N act on a body one towards north and the other towards the east.The magnitude and direction of the resultant force are?
3)The effect of a particle attaining its termal velocity is at the
A.acceleration is maximum
B.weight is equal to the retarding force
C.bouyancy force is more than the weight of the fluid displaced.
Please explain in details.Explain as if you are explaining to a JSS 1 student
terminal velocity is the velocity attainable by an object as it falls through a liquid, acceleration is negligible as liquids have different viscosity, the weight (mg)+ the buoyancy force (ma,negligible) makes up the tension, so tension =ma + mg,note mg as the dragging force,but the acceleration is always zero because acceleration in liquid or air is constant(only acted upon by gravity free fall),
the answer is B cause if
T=m*0+m*g
T=mg.
may be i don't explain very well

I am mentally unstable for pointing out that our beloved UNN needs better attention by the authorities to make it a place befitting for humans to study? shocked

You must be a pastor; I must have hit a raw nerve there grin cheesy. Sorry for you "ediot" pastor cheesy

It is really sad, but more pathetic that most people posting comments here are more inflamed by my observation than they are with the state of their beloved Alma-mater. Referring back to Fela, we are suffering and smiling.

There may be no UNN left in 20 years at the rate the infrastructures are decaying without intervention. The students should channel their resilience toward the authorities to focus their attention on the things that matter.

This is not a photo-op competition of male vs female. n hostel. The infrastructure in UNN is decaying. We can intervene to save it or continue to exchange tirades while the governing council and those in authority continue to relocate their offsprings overseas to better study environments.
when somebori wants to save UNN on nairaland.
and the students aren't complaining or helping themselves reduce the wastes.

TheHistorian:
Another very tricky question that needs a cautious approach else an inevitable fallibility.

Let's take a cursory look at the structural composition of the sentence the question is extracted from.

He looked.......everyone in authority as an enemy.

Taking a keen observation,The "LOOKED" in this above sentence does not connote "VISUALISATION" like most people will hurriedly conclude.

An example is;
I LOOK AT Fatima's beautiful face every morning.

The "look at" here is a phrasal verb that performs the function of VISUALIZATION.

Unlike;;

We LOOK ON Bola as the authority on the matter.

The "look on" here is a phrasal verb that performs the function of PERCEPTION i.e what you consider/perceive people to be.

Back to the question;
He looked.......everyone in authority as an enemy.

You will agree with me that the correct answer is option A= looked ON.

Meaning He considers/perceives everyone who is in a position of authority as a foe.

The answer they gave to the above question is (A). But I suppose that it should be (B) because you ''look at something'' and not ''look on something''

Towbaba500:
morning guys,i was unable to solve this question so i decided to bring it over to the gurus here.it's a physics question.it goes thus-
An engine pumps water from a river 10m below its own level and discharges it through a nozzle of diameter 10cm with a speed of 50ms-¹.Find the power required assuming:
(a)no losses
(b)70% efficiency.
(density of water=10³kgm–³,g=10ms–²)

source: okeke
i can provide in sight help of formula suitable for application
let's say
power-work/time
work-force*distance
I.e power=force*distance/time
therefore power=force*velocity
we have been given velocity but no force,
I think
Force=pressure*Area
pressure=height (10)*density (1000)*g(10)
then find area of nozzle, circle at the mouth,
pie*r²
then divide diameter/2
and solve for force, then multiply with speed.
let the gurus come

Drbabalola:
Oppss! I can see why many people ignore this question, even the so called guruls. Pressure which is proportional to force/weight does not have effect on fluids ONLY AT TERMINAL VELOCITY. since pressure and viscousity work in tandem: viscousity may as well remain constant at terminal velocity. Let someone else explain, I've done my part.
I can say viscosity is also thickness of liquids, honey is more viscous than kerosene,so in context of temperature increase in temperature of honey will reduce it's thickness (viscosity), as so of kerosene, so we can say increase in temperature reduce the viscosity,
but if we are taking of pressure
p=FA
either increasing force of the liquid or the area it contains does not affect the thickness of honey, putting honey from flask to cooler doesn't change its thickness(this of area it contains) or increasing the surface tension has no effect on honey(as of force) then if neither of force or Area which makes up pressure doesn't affect the thickness I'll say the increase in pressure will make viscosity remain constant.
I rest my pen

the answer should be (B). Using logical reasoning,( a medically proven fact for men) as opposed to analytical reasoning, a (medically proven fact for women). all the listed factors affect the level of atmospheric Co2 in one way or other; but the question says: the factor that least affects the level of atm. Co2. Option (B) is correct because it is a RANDOM factor and only depends on MAN as to whether or not trees would be cut. But option (C ) is wrong because PLANTS AND ANIMALS respire constantly and thus pose significant effect to the level o atmospheric Co2. I hope you get this? Love you!
what of no.10 sir
i think it should be rainfall since rainfall serves as means of excreting excess co2 and water in the atmosphere but av seen many people choose MAN .
how does man excretion brings about stable ecosystem
