Fire Guts Samsung office at Banex plaza Abuja

There was a fire incident at a Samsung showroom at the Banex Plaza located along the Aminu Kano Crescent in Wuse II, Abuja, on Monday evening.

In a video obtained by our correspondent, the popular electronics store was seen in flames while some persons were heard screaming in the background.

As of press time, our correspondent confirmed that men of the FCT Fire Service were already on the ground in an attempt to contain the fire.

"Yes, it's true. Our men are already on the ground,”  the Head of Operations for the FCT Fire Service, Amiola Adebayo, told our correspondent.

There were no details on the cause of the fire or casualty figure as of the time of filing this report.

Good you made the gutter. But hope.it goes round the whole pen? If not ants will kill all your snails in one night. If your gutter goes the pen, pour a mixture of water and engine oil in it. This will prevent or trap ants and insects that might want to cross into the pen.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has approved the posting and appointment of some senior officers of the Nigerian Army to command, instructional and staff appointments across formations and units following widespread insecurity


Those affected in the shake-up released on Thursday, July 28, 2022, included some Principal Staff Officers of the Army Headquarters, General Officers Commanding, Corps Commanders, Commandants of training institutions, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, amongst others.

According to army spokesman, Brig General Onyema Nwachukwu, some of the senior officers appointed as General Officers Commanding (GOCs) are Major General UT Musa from Headquarters 81 Division to Headquarters 82 Division and appointed GOC, Major General TA Lagbaja from Headquarters 82 Division to Headquarters 1 Division and appointed GOC, Major General OC Ajunwa from Nigeria Defence Section Brasilia to HQ 81 Division and appointed GOC , while Major General AS Chinade was redeployed from Depot Nigerian Army to Headquarters 2 Division and appointed GOC.

The newly appointed Army Headquarters Principal Staff Officers included, Maj General OW Ali, from Headquarters Command Army Records to Army Headquarters Department of Army Administration and appointed Chief of Administration (Army) Maj Gen S Muhammed, from Defence Headquarters to Department of Army Standards and Evaluation and appointed Chief of Army Standards and Evaluation (Army), Major General JA Ataguba from Army Headquarters Department of Army Standards and Evaluation to Defence Headquarters and appointed, Director Peace Keeping Operations, Major General AA Adesope from Headquarters Nigerian Army Finance Corps to Defence Headquarters and appointed Chief of Defence Accounts and Budget.

Kuje came under the attack of gunmen as at 10pm with loud gunshots and intermittently those with explosives around the Action Area One, or AA1, of the town.

The sounds which are still being heard as at the time of going to press, were assumed to be coming from the side of an estate, called El-Rufai Estate which is near the Kuje Prison.

Kuje Prison houses some big shots, like Abdul Rashid Maina and DCP Abba Kyari, who are facing criminal charges in courts.

A source who sought for anonymity informed Neptune Prime that there was a security breach in Kuje Custodial Center. He said, “Some people on motorcycles came in and the shooting began.”

He further said they intended to penetrate the prison through the back axis but the security formation at the prisons held on and later got support from the Navy barracks at Pegi.

I'm still at a loss on whether to believe this allegations. Watching him on TV make the allegations, there was no sightif any security agent to buttress his point. It was just him and his media publicist. And even up till now I have not seen, read or heard any media allude to the said killings. No pictures from the community, even the police hasn't said anything.....

Was the killings in Kajuru as alleged by Gov. El Rufai true? As much as we want to react to the present situation of election postponement, I'm particularly bothered about the veracity of El Rufai's claims. There has been no security agency verifying the claims, there has been no response by any group claiming to be in the know about the alleged incident. For El Rufai making these allegations and even going as far as mentioning a particular ethnic group as being victims, on the eve of a major process as a presidential election, Kai, there's more than meets the eye. I challenge any media organization to come up with footages and reports of this alleged killings. Pls.

Happy new year and thanks for all the responses. My above analysis is strictly what implies in reality. I am not such farmer that would promise heaven on earth returns in a venture I have been in for the past 12 years. People, pls do not be deceived by anyone telling you of making millions in poultry farming, sure its possible to make millions, but trust me you'd need a great deal of investment, time, patience and luck.

Funny enough, my above analysis isn't even feasible again as prices of feed has more than doubled. In Abuja where I stay, a 25kg bag of broiler starter for instance goes for 3,600. So you see?

And like I'll always advise people who call me, always start small and learn the ropes, it's better than imagining you can simply invest hundreds of thousands and make millions.

I have got my hands burnt over the years due to my naivety. For instance I once stocked 2000 cockerels and lost all of it within two months due to inexperience. So pls, for any agric venture you might wish to venture into, endeavour to seek street knowledge. By street knowledge I mean try to learn from someone already in the business, then grow from there.

Poultry farming is profitable if handled properly with the right knowledge.

This year i will be doing interactive classes on WhatsApp as regards raising birds organically, this is a process that seeks to cut down on geed and drug cost.
