Other life forms in other planets might have emerged due to the interactions of elements within the environment and so just like life on earth might develop features to adapt. . That we need/breathe oxygen doesn't mean other life forms in other planets must need oxygen, their own needed respiratory element might be different and even dangerous to us..

The accident occurred at Magboro bus stop in front of Western Metal Company Limited, close to the long bridge. A witness, who gave account of the accident, told our correspondent yesterday that but for the children in the Golf 2 car who requested to urinate, all the occupants of the vehicle would have died when the steel ring fell off the trailer.

Well the news didn't come to me as a shock. As for life on Mars, I believe there will certainly be some of microbial life there only time will tell.
