acl_femmy: its ok, so long you can guarantee that it will work perfectly with it. And how much is it. sorry, let me just relay the brief history of what i have done on the car so that you can understand nd possibly offer a help too. the crv is consumig fuel with check light on and i got it scanned and the scan result came up with the code p0172 - too rich system. so i was told that the injectors and nozzle will be serviced together with changing of the two o2 sensors which i gave go ahead for. after that was done the code still returned. they suspected MAf sensor and even catalytic converter and even changed the omplet nzzles and host of other things but to no avail. it was at this point i was told that they have tried to correct all the known culprits that could trigger the error codes and the last and the only they are yet to tried is the ecu of which they couldn't find the one that suits its vehicle operation that it is scarce and that is why i took the campaign to nairaland if at all i can find any. so long you can guarantee me that it will work with it and cure the code it's showing i would not mind to give it a trial, though i have spent a lot on the car. sorry for the rather long preamble. and don't forget to give me the price of it

@sir, sorry for the late reply i only saw your post now.Yes of course it will work perfectly.And from all indications you got a bad ecu,i would have tried ecu in the first place if i were the person in charge of your car because of the power train code.pls provide a phone number to contact you and also find out if your technicians have a honda diagnostic tool capable of programming ecu, thank you.

Dear Sir, sorry for my late reply. We have the automatic transmission version.Same engine works perfectly only that you will see one extra socket hole free because thats for the cable that takes care of automatic transmission,since your car is a manual transmission you ignore it.If you are interested let us know.

We have decided to stay away from the RAV4 2002-2004 Ecu for now,if you have read my earlier posts on same you will see that its one of the most difficult ecus its a design flaw,Rav4 cars keep blowing these ecus and most times mechanics will dismantle the gear and by the time they realise its ecu fault its too late for the gear.You can search nairaland for more info others have also written on same subject.

@osaki sorry we only do ecu for the immobiliser equipped cars around year 2000 and above as it will not be cost effective to order your type of ecu as they are cheaper locally than outside the country.take your time to search around you should get it with relative ease for a low price. thank you for your kind interest.

@sir with regards to how it looks seepicture for year 2005 and above models 1.8 manual transmission.For 2004 and lower is a silver metal casing.This ecu is only available on pre-order.

@Fidel, may we know sir what type of engine your model has? there is the 1.8 and 2.2 engines also you need to state the type of transmission if manual or automatic that will determine the ecu type.

The only way you will be sure the airbags will deploy in another mishap (God forbid) is if the crash sensors are positioned same area as before the crash and also like siena mentioned above the ecu is reset,how ever that might not be possible here unless there is some one around you that has a clean eeprom dump for exact same airbag ecu and is able to wipe out the crash data and load a fresh one.Another option is to use a good diagnostic system like the Toyota techstream,if all airbags are relpaced and sensors as well the toyota software might be able to reset it without the need to shoot in eeprom data to the chip directly.If all is well the airbag indicator light on the dash should light when you open ignition and off itself after few seconds.If it stays on then the system is not well and can not redeploy again until fixed properly.
