Why? I tried to imagine what it felt like being Obasanjo. Someone who achieved so much over two stints and all he gets are invectives.

I know he didn't do his popularity any good with his fight with Atiku and the third term bid but come on people, you are educated. Have you truly forgotten what this man achieved or are you just being cruel?

I notice none of you mouthin off have disproved his claim that he built power plants and nobody did anything on the topic till he came back and yet its all abuses. Its all misyarning about $16 billion that anybody who knows anything in the power sector will tell you what it was spent on (perhaps the contracts were inflated, but nobody has proved that to be OBJ's fault. point is, its hardly like he just pocketed $16 billion. Says a lot that after delaying the IPP idea for so long, Yar Adua and Goody could do no better than simply continuing, admitting the brilliance of the original plan, with no apology for all the abuses.

People, being OBJ is sad. One day I wil compile a list of his achievements, from the debt relief (yes, you will find something negative to say) to infrastructure (my God: all second generation universities, national traffic backbone, power plants, major hospital and healthcare backbone , ) active attempt to balance distribution of portfolio, first leader to giev women a chance to strut their stuff. In my church every tithe envelop have numbers on them known only to the man of God.
Once you don't pay your tithe consecutively, he calls you to know what went wrong wheather you lost your Job or problems that the church can help you with. if you lose you job, a vacancy is sort out for on your behave and within some weeks you get something doing. if the tithe was not able to paid because of sickness, the church helps in prayer, mental, material support.
A lot of men form religious gathering without the main reason of setting them up, just to take, receive and receive then close eye, without care for the sheep and dirty the alter of God. Since the followers don't take time to read the bible they accept everything even when not pure.

We all know the processes of awarding contracts in this part of the world as no form of genuity at all. Its either favourism, greed, tribalism, nepotism and selfish gains among others. SO what we see is less than what should be expected.
Look at the case of GSM that all these operators have the chunks of cuts given to these faithful agents, Godfathers (obasanjo & co), and every Nigerians are paying dearly for it- why some say, if Nitel was not privatised nothing would have come out of it.
If we have had a focus leader with a clear mind and motive would handle the project and Nigerians will be paying very little for it.

We don't need to sell them off in the name of privatization or anything if we have a visionary and a leader that has ideas in running things, industrialist and economics with the right frame of mind and no corruption mentality.

There is no need of arguing on this issue. When Goverment came out to tell nigerians that there is no need for goverment to manage coys that no need for goverment to be in business, you dont need your brain to know that such government lacks the idea to even manage the people he rules, infastructures and create amenities.

if you cant manage the resources and infectively utilize them then you have no business being in government. the motives behind BPE, selling of infrastrutures to people that cant even sit and think of setting up there own is the dumbest thing in the world. ANy leader that believes in privitizing his properties and can not manage them well is not fit to be a leader.

An effective leader manages and optimizes any and every available resources within his disposals.

For example when and Operating system is built round one function or application without flexibility to other applications , it fails and it becomes obsolete with time no matter the strength of technicalities of the OS.

Communism, capitalism, socialism, federalism etc systems are not the problem, the problems are the people operating the system. if you try any system outside Nigeria, it ill work but inside Nigeria it will surely fail.

But when a system is built to have colossal and formidable structure having the generality of the people in mind will surely last and work even though it mail fail, but ultimately will rise again.

E.g- Nigeria senate will only make laws btw 1 week that will enrich their pockets, but will take 2 terms ( 8 years) on a law that will touch peoples life and strengthen the system.

Every known economic system that has worked in other countires when same brought to Nigeria will not work again. WHY? Because it would have been hijacked by some one that will change and change it to suit only his family system and political affiliates. its BAD.

Pastors are God's representative on earth and they are ordained as priest as of old, they are also reffered to as priest.
Pls check the dictionary meaning of pastor and priest.
They have the right too collect the tithes becaus ethey are the Head of the Body of Christ "church"- Revelation.

Leave the Judgement to God to decide what to do wit them even if they steal from God.
