Politics › Re: 2015: PDP Welcomes Buhari, Urges Him To Engage In Issue- Based Campaign by BRAV0O(m): 5:16am On Dec 12, 2014 |
SaiBuharii: followed closely, the APC National convention through out the day, sharing my time between work and information I left work early (9pm) and went to the Teslim Balogun stadium to witness a major event in the history of Nigeria, one that decides our future. I spent sometime there, and after seeing with my eyes the family structured convention, where Fayemi was up and down to make sure, everything is on point for the major event,I zoomed off home. I realised an atmosphere of Democracy was prevailing in the environment, all contestants had banners and deir fans all over the place, I particularly recognized Okorochas pple everywhere, and I said to myself, here is another man giving the Igbos an opportunity to line up and vote for deir blood, and not being attached with the South or being deceived that PDP is an Igbo party when the President, vice president, Senate president, House of rep are not from their land. I got home, I decided to put on the tv and continue the follow up. And then I put it on AIT, I was surprised it was being aired, becasuse as known AIT is controlled by Jonathan through Dokpesi, NTA is a govt controlled station, likewise Stv, where the chairman just won a PDP ticket to contest for the sente. With my sleepy eyes I settled down to watch my assumed Apc convention. After 15 mins I noticed the leaking Umbrella on my Tv screen, and then it confirmed my AIT-PDP connection. It was at that point I realized PDP had their own national convention in Abuja same day, with APC, the only Agenda for the election was the selection of the president, then I appreciated what ApC was doing, giving us the previlege of feeling what political tension feels like, even for the Taniods, they are all ears praying Atiku wins the Ticket, it's still part of the feeling your part can't give you. Through out the day I did not see or hear it on radio, Tv, Twitter, Facebook, even our Nairaland that PDP have a convention, but multiple threads have been opened for the APC election. I remember in the days of Peter odilii-Obasanjo elections, (Odili stepped down) when you see the moderator counting the votes keep saying "Obasanjo, Obasanjo...after 50 Obasanjo's, then they sight a vote for another candidate, that was when PDP was relevant, but now they don't even make the news...Nigerians are tired of an autocratic system. Never in the history of PDP has there been a selection process in which all forms were withheld. If all parties did selection, what will we be discussing and throwing jabs at ourselves on? As Nigeria stays on a standby to vote for their candidate, I implore you all to use your brains. Merci. |

mikeansy: Please like this thread and drop a note demanding Jonathan and Buhari to have a successful debate before elections
No noise by the crowd, no clapping, no booing
just 2 candidates; 1 or 2 or 3 moderators who are required to cross-examine candidates if necessary in an unbiased fashion and a silent audience only allowed to clap at the start and end of the debate.
I think our democracy has come far enough to have a sensible debate on the issues:
Let Jonathan defend his records in the last 6 years on security, economy, education, foreign policy etc
Let Buhari defend his military records, his records of public service, his public statements and views in the last 30years
Enough of the ducking of debates, if Abiola & Tofa could debate in 1993 then Jonathan & Buhari can do better in 2015!
the target is 1000 likes and responses if possible |

I believe that Rabiu Kwankwaso was the right man.. and with GMB as the flagbearer it will be too much pain to bear. Tinubu knows quite well what he is up to. I find this as a betrayal.. GMB has contested 4 times and lost, why not allow someone else to contest, is he that desperate for power..
we dnt need 75 years old as our president.. this is wrong and should not be allowed in our current democratic society. I have burnt my APC membership card, and will not be voting for this old dictator and religious fanatic..
thanks Oloshi if u like burn your ous join E-no concern anybody here Sai Buhari #ourking! |

Op just nail one of the major reason almost every nigeria states face terrific traffic cus of this fighting mentality I witness one on 3rd mnland bridge the other day, imagine this folks even threaten to throw each other into the lagoon , and they won't even park well for other motorist to move on I think govt should help us take their critical tifi eyes to look into this matter cus how on earth we will be blaming police and lastma never to use their work to cause us more traffic why will accidental motorist be doing so Its so annoying MillionDollars: d most times i've witnessed an accident, i've never seen a situation where the drivers or riders involved would simply say ''I'M SORRY'' and go their respective ways, but NO its d oda way round, they tend to quarrel or sometimes fight like they hit themselves on purpose. For crying out loud, no driver or rider was born with a steering(no one is perfect), i'd rather advice every driver and rider reading this to lets stop our ''FIGHT AFTER AN ACCIDENT'' mentality in Nigeria. THANKS |

Virginity is overrated pls, keep your virginity till eternity doesn't make you a good wife or good husband and it can never guarantee you a good spouse, life is a choice we choose to live which ever it pleases each and every one of us but nigerians need to stop this keeping virginity till eternity mentality or keeping it for who ever its right in their eyes , many regret doing so! I knew a gurl who always say I'm not the right person for her back then cus I'm dough broke and too skinny, mean while she end up giving it to one yahoo boy with flashing cash and 130k toyota back then , she taught all that can make their future so bright ? So tell me where is she today ? Today she's homeless with kid and the guy never serious from here to there ...

Vivalavida99: Nigerians MASSES will not feel it even if the oil comes down to $10, reason is that even when oil was above $100, they were't benefiting nada from it.
It is the corrupt politicians that will feel it, cuz there will be no money to steal and politics will be less attractive. I partially agree with you but I can only disagree in the sense that the masses will be the one to be funding all those corrupt politicians expenses directly or indirectly and that will be the source of the unending trouble those alarmist keep posting everyday let say for instance, fuel hike ? And see how those nigerians living below N300 naira/day will burst into the street protesting and call for Gej head with immediate effect , cus they won't even pretend to understand! So let say we all sidown dey look let see how it'll unfold. |

Romance › Re: Should I Have Sold My Virginity For N600,000? by BRAV0O(m): 11:40am On Dec 02, 2014 |
Naijasinglegirl: I have been making most of my withdrawals across the counter since my ATM card got expired last month.
Anyway, I breezed into a random Diamond bank yesterday afternoon to withdraw money. Got the withdrawal slip and wrote out a whooping sum of two thousand, five hundred Naira. ( I had to spell it in full so the amount would seem huge)
My hands were stretched out nonchalantly to the female banker and when she raised her face to receive my slip, I recognise her as Seun, my room mate in my 200L.
'Damn!" I cursed. Not when I am appearing this shabby.
I should have added another zero to the N2500 if I knew I was going to bump into Seun. As girls who haven't seen each other in more than two years, there was bound to be some sort of comparison. I heaved a sigh when I remembered my account balance is just N22000.
"Lord have mercy! Naijasinglegirl? Is this yewwww?" she exclaimed, stretching out her short arms in an unsuccessful attempt to hug me over the counter.
She snatched my slip and gazed at me pitifully.
"Babezzz are things that bad? This one N2500 is bringing you to the bank. I could pay you from my pockets you know."
No thanks!
During our days in the university, Seun was a flippant part time student. We often teased her that her type may go as long as ten years without getting a job. I even promised I was going to lend her my NYSC khaki to take Instagram photos in her backyard since part time students were not eligible to participate in NYSC orientation exercise.
Today, the wheels of fortune has spun in her favour.
I had to lie I actually came to the bank to withdraw 15K. I took the slip from her, tore it into two and wrote out another draft of 15K which she paid from my account.
On getting out, I had to board a vehicle to another branch of Diamond Bank to pay in the 12.5K balance sharp sharp! Zero tolerance for extravagance.
Last night, we had a lengthy conversation on phone. She wanted to know why I was unemployed and I kept dismissing her with,
"Don't worry about me jare. I'm working on something."
"Something ke? Lie lie! You think this your good girl attitude would get you anywhere in this country? Don't you know I got my banking job through Chuwkudi, that my sugar daddy. If you didn't dull his friend your story would have been different today!"
Chuwkudi's friend was a stinking oil rich magnate in Portharcourt. I met him through Seun but there was a problem. He was married!
Seun is of the school of thought that there is absolutely nothing wrong in dating a married man so long as both parties share some fringe benefit in return.
Chuwkudi's friend was generous. He was ready to dash me one of Nigeria's oil well if only I was willingly to spread one of my legs to the South South and the other to the North East for him whenever he needed TLC. Each time he came by my hostel, he would squeeze N10000 to N15000 into my palms for dinner.
During my first and unfortunately, my last tour to his company's lodge, he promised me an IT placement in Mobil. I was going to get an already furnished flat at his quarters after graduation. He was going to influence my NYSC posting to an oil company and of course, a well paying job upon completion of NYSC. All these promises in exchange for my hymen...
"Sir, but I told you I cannot...I have not done this before..." I trailed off.
He tore off a page of his cheque book, scribbled something down and handed the paper over to me.
"This would be yours if you spend tonight with me. . . I would make you the envy of your friends." He swore.
Six hundred thousand Naira was written boldly on the cheque.
The highest amount of money that had ever been offered leisurely to someone in my family's genealogy. Honestly, It took a special level of grace to dropped the cheque on his table and walk out that door forever.
Did that singular 'goodgirl' attitude cost me my surest ticket to this good life I crave for? I hope not. hmmm I admire your courage mean while I have two things to say to you , my own opinion .... Where as many good girl even loose their virginity for some one who cannot even afford to buy them pant or bra all in the name of love or 1st love ? If u think of it this way u might end up regretting why you ever walk out of such bid ? But mind you I want u to picture my second taught on this ... ** you see that your walk out with boldness might have save you from unexpected tribulation that may hunt you for your lif tym (God forbid) have u ever picture many big gurls lik you that may end up with such chukwudi which they eventually sold out their soul in such bid , many of them end up dead mysteriously , my dear this is africa , I will advice you to never let go such offer only with white folks and if the negotiation take place abroad |
