The scripture speaks for itself, if you rate tithe more than Justice, Mercy and faithfullness, YOU ARE A GONNER!
sreamsense: How has what you quoted ignorantly dispute paying tithe? Which one did you know about her that she neglect? Many of you interprete Bible blindly because you don't have the living Holy Spirit that can make it clearer to you. Go ahead and list 10 things you knew about her that she doesn't practice since you are living in the same roof, otherwise your quotation is irrelevant in this context. Jesus never altered word that you should not pay, he was addressing certain people under different context and scenerio, but you just blindly use it for all cases.
Matthew 23:23 New International Version 23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

Bestmanfornow: I have visited many ShopRite outlets in different locations in Nigeria I realized that it's no longer what it use to be, what's going on?
Why are you so used to slavery? Shoprite a foriegn brand is going down, but have you seen how many Nigerian Stores are expanding? Stop using these guys as metrics for the growth of a nation, in actual fact, some of these other Nigerian owned malls have a good number of the things Shoprite sells.
Wisdomkosi: A man in his early thirties, identified as Mr Onyiuke Nwedeogu, allegedly set himself ablaze in the early hours of Sunday after a minor altercation with his wife.
The late Onyiuke also set the family house on fire, where his wife, Mrs Felicia Nwedeogu, and their three daughters lived.

The tragic incident occurred at Ndiechi Igbeagu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
According to an eyewitness, who requested anonymity, the conflict began on Sunday morning when Onyiuke had a minor altercation with his wife, leading him to beat her.
Afterward, he gathered all his clothes and placed them in their provision shop.
The eyewitness added that Onyiuke took the matter to his parents, who lived a few kilometres away, but was dissatisfied with their attempts to mediate.
He then rushed back to his residence, forcibly removed the window protector where his wife and three children were, and set the building on fire with motor spirit, despite knowing the family was asleep in the early hours of the morning.
Another source revealed that after the altercation, the man took his belongings to their provision store, locked it, and left, only to return at night with a gallon of motor spirit and set the house on fire.
The source added that Mrs Felicia Nwedeogu and her three children were rescued through the same window where the husband had removed the protector when the fire had engulfed the entire building.
The man, after setting the building on fire, drove away in his bus to a location where one Elijah rushed him to Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital (AE-FETHA), where he died on Wednesday.
The deceased’s body has been deposited at the AE-FETHA morgue, and it was further learned that the bereaved wife and children were rescued with only a wrapper and children’s pants.
When contacted, Ebonyi Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu, stated that the command had yet to receive the report at the time of this report.
Notfogotten: When we say a toilet cleaner in USA, Canada, UK, Australia is better than the manger of zenith bank, what we mean is that the toilet cleaner will never suffer what you are currently suffering in Nigeria.
Example include:
A. A toilet cleaner will never queue for fuel. B. A toilet cleaner is less likely to be kidnapped in those countries C. A toilet cleaner has 24/7 electricity. D. A toilet cleaner has access to excellent Medicare. E. A toilet cleaner is less likely exposed to armed robbers F. A toilet cleaner eats better food and fruits than your bank manager. G A toilet cleaner has access to good amenities H. A toilet cleaner may have his children schooling for free in primary and high school I. A toilet cleaner has a longer live expectancy than your bank manager in Nigeria.
The marriage is gone already. You don't forgive a cheating woman. If he continues with her he might die.

*FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR ALL NIGERIANS*- Sir Demola Aladekomo, Founder, Chams International.
We have been inundated with so many of the Volkswagen Rwandan issues. Normally, I will keep quiet, but we have to start reacting.
Evil thrives when the good keeps quiet. I am not sure if we are aware that we have at least 8 motor assembly plants rolling off trucks and cars in NIGERIA. About 5 started in the past 3 years.
No one sang their praises. Even with all its issues, Innosson, which has done so well assembling/manufacturing cars and SUVs, is almost being killed through criticisms because of its issues with Customs and GT Bank.
How do we sing more about our achievements?
Let’s talk more about the positive developments we have had in the past few years rather than the overflogged bad news, rumours, and wicked comparisons.
💥Nigerians are the biggest issue for NIGERIA.💥
We never see anything good about our country. Grass is always greener on the other side.
💥We berate ourselves so much we do not need any other nationals to do it for us.💥
It’s as if there are no issues in the UK, USA, and even the Vatican City with its 265m Euro theft?
I have no issue with Rwanda that I visit often. I commend them. I just do not see the comparisons between NIGERIA and Rwanda.
Will like to have a debate on Governing 192m vs 12m; largest vs. small economy in Africa, Democracy vs. non democracy etc!
Despite all, I still respect Rwanda but not comparable to what we have achieved in NIGERIA.
Denigrating Nigeria does not uplift the individual either, you are digging your own unhappiness and depression.
The temporary high will be over, and soon you will realize you just criticized yourself.
Let’s reduce the sensational issues and be factual pls. Destructive criticisms do not help. Constructive ones do.
Let’s give suggestions on how we can glorify God with our words, writings, etc. through services to humanity and Nigeria.
By the way, I am proud of current developments in NIGERIA, the massive opportunities there are, and the great efforts being put in by our children in the private sectors.
Whilst we the parents are becoming more destructive by the day our children are making waves in technology, entertainment, food (thanks to Chef Imoteda who taught me that Food industry is massive in NIGERIA & globally), fashion and construction.
We thank the *Dangote’s, Fintechs, and NIGERIAN Banks* that have taken over Africa (UK almost being dominated by our banks now) and doing great job of it without being noticed and praised May God bless them all.
We thank our *security agencies* for the great sacrifices/jobs they are doing despite the lack of resources due to our large dependence on oil.
We thank our *teachers* who have been so criticized by their ‘successful’ former students for their continued service to humanity despite poor pays ( I wish these arm chair critics will Voluntéer their spare times in the classrooms and hospitals just like their counterparts do in other nations).
We thank our *Doctors and Nurses* who take care of us with little or no infrastructures and medications. (My mum had neurosurgery continued when the power supply went out using a TORCH by a great Nigerian in Osogbo. God bless Dr Rabiu. Let us contribute our little quota to make sure it does not happen to others. Yes, it's a problem, but let’s find a solution)
We thank *Nigerians who are doing their best, irrespective of the issues.*
Other nationals developed their own countries. Let us develop ours pls. God bless you all.
Please use this period very well, you will not always have the time to do this again.
Its a season of promotion and it is demanding time and a lot from you.
Stay with it. THIS SEASON MAY NOT COME AGAIN FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS.
PeterObi4Presid: Please, this call for opinion/advise is strictly directed to people in the Lord who have been in my shoes, and who are genuinely on fire for God , not to some random nominal Christians who aren't sure of their standing with God or some argumentator who only get validation from likes. Thanks for understanding.
Now, since I gave my life to God, a lot has changed about my life...tangible radical changes. One of those changes is in that most times or when I go on fasting spree, I find it hard to combine spiritual exercise and my secular interest that are also important
We all know we have to work to feed. And we also have to explore our interests, but in my case, my fervency for spiritual things almost always takes my mind off other things in such that I can't concentrate on them as I would wish, as spiritual matters takes up my mind the more. Many times I feel guilty that it sort of makes me procrastinate on personal interest I am working on as I spend my concentration on reading Bible, trying to memorize verses, fasting and praying...And as we also know, fasting takes away strength and inclines one more to spiritual things more than secular personal matters...
How do I strike a balance and still continue to burn for God? Sincerely, my love for God increases and being fervent brings inner joy and more revelation, but anytime I occupy my mind with my secular pursuit for maybe a week, i notice i feel less connected to God and lose my peace and physical touches of the spirit.....I dont know what i am missing, i truly desire wisdom in this matter....cos i do also have career interest that needs deep attention and full cognition.... I will appreciate sincere reply by true men or sons of God On how to switch between both world and operate effectively in both sides and still maintain concentration
The Catholic Church is not the foundation of Christianity.
Jesus is the foundation of people who believe in God through him, Jesus.
Infact, the Catholic church distorted the teachings of Christ, because now where did Jesus ask us to pray using rosaries or use the name of Mary his mother or pray using saints.
Enemyofpeace: This is purely history. Read with an Open mind.
In the very beginning, there was only one Christian World, the Catholic Church until....
1. MARTIN LUTHER AND THE BEGINNING OF PROTESTANTISM.
In the year 1517 AD, the Reverend Martin Luther, a former Catholic priest rose up against the Catholic Church alleging immorality within the ranks of the clergy. He taught that man if he had faith could be saved despite his wickedness and that good works were of no consequences. By 1520, he had arrived at the conclusion that every baptized Christian was a priest, that Rome was Babylon, that the pope was Anti-Christ, that priests should be allowed to marry, and that divorce was lawful.
He founded a new Church that bore his own name; the Lutheran Church or the Church of Luther. As the protestant Reformation developed in Germany, it broke into several other factions In Switzerland, for example, a fiction named Reformed Christianity developed following the teachings of two men Ulrich Zwingli ind John Calvin both who emphasized the doctrine of Predestination that some are pre ordained to eternal life and others to eternal damnation.
2. THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
These teachings got to Scotland in 1560 through the activities of a former Catholic who went by the name John Knox! There it took the name the Presbyterian Church.
From the same Switzerland came another group- the Anabaptist which had developed in 1521 following the ideas of Petr Chelcicky the Bohemian.
3.MENNONITES
In 1536, an Anabaptist group broke away to follow another leader, a former Catholic Priest named Menno Simmons from where the Church took the name Mennonites. Later in 1693, Jacob Amman, a Mennonite elder led a revolt against the Mennonite Church resulting in the formation of a new Church that bore his name even to this day: the Amish Church.
4. BAPTIST CHURCH
In 1609, a new Church by the name Baptist Church started in Amsterdam based on the preaching of the English separatist John Smyth.
5. ANGLICANS
Along the same line of opposition to the Catholic Church came the Anglican Church which started in 1533 AD when the Catholic Church refused to grant England's King Henry VIII the dissolution of his marriage. This Church became the Episcopal Church when it got to the United States of America in 1789.
6. AFRICAN CHURCH
In Nigeria, a schism within the same Anglican Church gave birth to the African Church.
6. METHODIST CHURCH
Early in the 1740s, a group of Anglicans parted ways with their Church to start another Church which took the name the Methodist Church. This group followed the teachings of John Wesley and his brother Charles.
7. Disciples of Jesus
In the late 1800s, an attempt to return to what was regarded Primitive Christianity led to the formation of a new movement called the Disciples of Jesus by Thomas Campbell, his son Alexander and Barton W. Stone all former Presbyterian ministers from Ireland.
8. CHURCH OF CHRIST
About the year 1906, a disagreement over the scriptural authorization for organized mission societies and the use or otherwise of musical instruments in worship, among other irreconcilable differences led to the separation from the Disciples of Jesus of a group which later identified itself as The Church of Christ.
9. JEHOVAH WITNESS
In the 1870s came the Jehovah Witnesses, a group which grew out of the Bible Student Movement originated by Charles Taze Russel who also pioneered the formation of the Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society. The group owes its doctrinal development to a man named Joseph Franklin Rutherfold.
10. THE NEW PENTECOSTAL CHURCHES
Every man believes that he is being guided by the Holy Spirit and plenty Churches sprang up. The 1960s saw the emergence of a new group of highly fragmented preachers called the Pentecostals who saw nothing good in the earlier protestant factions.
THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AS THE ENEMY 😂
Though individually, these groups, with their two-pronged gospel that centers on miracles and material possession, are never in agreement, yet collectively they hold the Catholic Church as a common enemy that must be destroyed at all cost and so much energy and resources have been committed to ensure the achievement of this set goal. This includes not only the massive use of both the print and the electronic media, but also the organization of special religious programs, out- reaches as well as door-to-door preaching, all directed at bringing down the Catholic Church but to no avail.
Yet...,
The opponents of the Catholic Church have never been able to deem the light of the Church, for the Church of Jesus Christ continues to march on, century after century, without distraction despite the human failings of her leaders and the flock. Upon you Peter.....
NB: Before you come to attack me, remember that is is purely history.
emkz: Former Kogi Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, is alleged to have entered a contract with the American International School of Abuja to prepay $845,000 in school fees. Ali Bello, identified in the document, is alleged to be Bello's eldest child. The document also showed that Bello paid fees for a child that was not even enrolled in the school.
See images below.
The school has agreed to repay about $761,000 to the State.
There is no twisting or skewing. We can't apply ALL that is in the scripture as they appear in scripture. We have to apply them in the right ways. Songs of Solomon is clearly intended for the unmarried, but should we now encourage youths to Song of Solomon 7:7-8?
Kobojunkie: If you have to twist and skew the content to get this your "application" does that not mean you abandon entirely the authors intention to assert your own its place? Basically, the intended message of the writings are rendered of no real value by your twists and misuse.
Songs of Solomon is sound doctrine for married couples...
OkCornel: Continue to verse 9. What did he call her?
All these roundabout still doesn't answer my question.
How does admiring someone's breast become something divine and a basis for reproof, correction and sound doctrine?!
Songs of Solomon 8 v 8-10
8 We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for? 9 If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar. 10 I am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour.
What is the morals in the above verses?
If Romeo and Juliet's romance story or Kamasutra was in the Bible, Nigerian Christians will come here and defend it passionately as the word of God.
Meanwhile... The scripture referred to here was the old testament, Paul, when he was writing this letter to Timothy, did not know his letters would be added to a collection of books called the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
