HealthWhy Do Doctors In Nigeria Tell Patients Not To Eat After A Surgery? (photo) by Brazino(op): 10:42am On Jul 07, 2025
What's the rationale Behind our doctors telling patients not to eat for a few days after a surgery is been carried out on them?
If doctors in other parts of the World like In Europe, don't tell their patients so, then why is Nigeria's different?
Could it be due to Technology?

Can someone please explain to me why Medical Doctors in Nigeria always ask patients not to eat food for some days after having surgery?

People are eating normal food immediately after surgery here in Canada and no complications at all.

Tinubu is loosing it day after day.

He's losing a lot of support and he's yet to realize it.
A lot needs to be done ahead of 2027.
I guess Tinubu is only just relying on the INEC to manipulate results in his favor but I see INEC failing woefully this time around
FamilyI Have Not Celebrated Any Festive Season With My Family In The Last 20 Years. by Brazino(op):
Sometimes you just wonder how life could be to some people. Fair to some, and unfair to others.
Some are happy, while others are not. Some think happiness is free. Some say happiness is a choice and that you can decide to be happy or not. How is happiness free?
How is it a choice?
Who wouldn't want to be happy always?

If happiness was free, there would be no depression resulting in suicide.
Sometimes you just need to bond with your family. My mum keeps begging me to pls try and save some money to enable me come and visit her in the village. I keep promising her every year, but no way. It hurts me. If I was comfortable, I would have asked her to visit me and even stay with me permanently. But no means.
The last time I celebrated Christmas, Easter and any other festive season with my family was 20years ago. At the time, I was just six years. Two of my siblings are younger than me. I'm the oldest of them all.
At age 7, we all scattered when our father died. Since that time till now, we've never had a time together with my mum and siblings. Its painful to me. It becomes even more painful when during the Christmas season, you see your neighbors traveling to celebrate with their families and you're all alone in same neighborhood as everyone has traveled. It happens year in, year out. A neighbor even asked me some time ago if I had a family.
I've not seen my siblings for 15 years and I've not seen my mum for 12 years. We just talk and chat on the phone. We are now strangers to each other. If you're not in my shoes, you'll never understand this. I'm not at ease at all.
I don't even know what a family is anymore. The name sounds so odd to my ears.
I pray I'm able to get a place in the township that can accommodate all of us so I can invite them and we can celebrate one of such Festive Seasons together. May God help us.

Some of you are just unbelievable or outrightly mischievous. When was the last time Doctors or even ASUU went on strike?

NMA, JOHESU, ASUU, NASU etc always take turns to go on strike every other months under all previous presidents for the past 30 years. Since Tinubu became president, none of these unions have gone on strike. ASUU that is notorious for going on strike have not gone on any strike in the last two years. Yet, folks like you come out to spew outright lies.

How are we going to make this country work when citizens can’t even be truthful?

PoliticsIt Will Be A Political Mishap For Peter OBI To Deputize For Atiku In 2027 by Brazino(op): 9:22am On Jul 01, 2025
I'm not a politician, I'm politically neutral. But I'll always cast my vote for candidates I know can better the lots of all Nigerians.

No Nigerian Politician is a Saint. None!. All of them are not incorruptible, some are devils. Most are merchants of evil. Regardless of this ugly pictures been painted about our thiefing leaders, we all believe that there are actually a few among them who are "Lesser Devils". This is where His Excellency, Peter OBI comes to mind. As it stands, OBI remains the most popular, sellable and widely accepted Politician in Nigeria today. And it will be an act of political mishap, miscalculation and Suicide to allow OBI Deputize For Atiku. You can't make the more popular candidate to be a running mate of a less popular candidate.
Nigerians want to see OBI spearheading the flag of any party he wishes to contest under in 2027. And I feel Atiku should rather deputize for OBI. ATIKU must swallow his Pride.
I'm sure OBI supporters who voted him in 2023 under the umbrella of the Labor Party will not do same if their darling OBI decided to Be a Vice-presidential candidate.
OBI deputizing for Atiku in 2027 would hand Tinubu and APC a flawless and effortless victory.

Shawarmagirl:
OP I want to disagree with you in all you listed. When you both got married, two has become one. Let me give you example:

From day one I met my partner till we got married he has never lied to me about his salary or any money in his account. This single act made me love him the more. Once he tells me there is no money I believe him and assist him. Everything about him I know it. He has no secret.

Secondly, he opens up to me and showed me his two ex before we got married. That's a man who is transparent.

Lastly but not the list, there is no decision he wants to make or take now in his life without telling me first before anyone else's hears it. Telling me his next move or plans gives me joy to assist him financially, spiritually and mentally. So I still maintain that all men and women are not the same. That you have issues with your partner or marriage does not mean you'll come here to impose your experience on others to buy.

Maybe it's because he's yet to learn the hard way. Maybe a SIMPle Man

No matter the love, don't ever try to share these few Secrets with a woman. They may comfort and empathize with you today, and go on to use it against you tommorow.

Some guys, when they drink or need sex seriously, they go to any extent to spill out some very deep secrets. Men, you'll learn the hard way if you share these secrets.

You can add other secrets to these if you feel the list is not complete.

Secrets you should never tell your woman?
Here’s the truth every man needs to know:

1. Your deepest fears. She might comfort you today… and weaponize it tomorrow.

2. Your exact bank balance. Mystery = power. Full disclosure = leverage.

3. Your past body count. It never helps. It only haunts.

4. Your doubts about her. Handle them like a king....observe, decide, act. Silence is strategy.

5. Your darkest trauma. She’s not your therapist. Heal in private, rule in public.

6. Your next move. A man’s vision dies when too many ears hear it.

7. Your family’s weak points. Protect the house. She’s not entitled to every crack in the wall.

8. Your emotional breakdowns. Cry if you must—but not in her arms. In the shadows, then rise.

Dated a girl for three years. During same period, she was always begging for forgiveness. I had read her chats and saw her call logs. Two different lines were calling her everyday. The third one was her immediate ex boyfriend always calling. If she missed calls from these three guys, she would call or flash them.
I check her WhatsApp and saw chats with one of these guys, and I was wowed... I asked her to leave, she cried and even fell to the ground and became unconscious, thank God she was later revived. She has a hole in the heart, a very serious life-threatening health challenge, and as a result, I was always willing to forgive her so as not to trigger her regular health crises.
This was someone who would cry, kneel and ask for forgiveness at the slightest. I broke up with her but till date, I always think about her. I've blocked her everywhere. I mean everywhere. But the attachment I have with her is something I can't explain. So deep. I felt it's because she is the only woman I ever gave a head in my entire life. She made me to know how a woman's cum tastes. Tastes salty, if I am correct.
