You are right. 300k is a very good salary in Nigeria. I agree with all you said, makes alot of sense. As long as 1 does not muddle with their finances like you said, then they shld be fine. Nchabuomo: 300K per month is a bloody good salary, and can afford a vacation! People get tourist visas with 150k jobs. Someone earning 300k in most states in Nigeria probably has a better standard of living than someone making 1500-2000 quid in the U.K. So why would the person ideally become an irregular migrant?
What percentage of Nigerians earn up to 300k sef? I can't speak to your acquaintance denial as I do not have a complete picture of their circumstances. A 300k job is an excellent job for a tourist visa application! Just make a clean application and don't tell convoluted stories no one has that time. It is good if you have landed assets, but it is not a requirement.
I feel people over flog this tie stuff honestly; if ties are as important as we are presenting them, then students wouldn't be getting visas then neither would orphans and single people. Don't get me wrong though it is important to establish that you have a life in Nigeria, which a job shows, and a 300k job is a pretty decent job in Nigeria! Just don't muddle up your finances. |

Based on what you mentioned here, once you give them something complicated to work with, it becomes very difficult. But once your application is straight forward, account clean and present landed docs etc it will be easy for them 2 make a decision Nchabuomo: In my opinion, this tie thing should not ideally be an issue. Your job is a tie, which should be enough to secure you a visa. I feel the VO is already biased, given the previous refusals. I also think the situation with your finances did not help your case at all.
I have applied for a UK visa a few times from Nigeria, and I have never had a problem. My only tie to Nigeria per se is my parents, whom I never mention apart from the part where you are asked about their details. I am less than 30 yrs old, so well within the age group of irregular migrants.
I suggest that you stop applying to the UK, focus on building a decent travel history and keep your account clean. I have found that the easiest way to get a visa is to keep your story straight and present a clean account. Unfortunately, no VO has the time to try to untangle a convoluted tale. Good luck! |

Having a 300k paying Job is not a good tie @ all... Trust me I know somebody that was denied wit a paying job of 450k, Good statement but no landed doc, parents aren't in Nigeria & also not married. |

They take their time to check all those things and also if there are irregularities in your account, then that will also be a Big problem. Brenda37: Do you have travel history? What about your parents? Being married wit kids is also 1 Big advantage. What is the worth of the property you have? |

Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brenda37(f): 11:23am On Dec 13, 2021 |
I want to believe they are clearing the backlogs & once Nigeria is out of the red list, collection mails will be flying left right Centre. cutebear: Hope it’s not that they have stopped working on our applications completely. They’ve been shouting about backlog since. They better use these 3 weeks to clear their backlog because it will be very annoying when Nigeria is taken off the red list and they are still delaying applications when they could’ve resolved it within this period. |

They have not stopped bro... its still on going and they are issuing visas as we speak. Have Faith Oggg: But they have clearly said they have paused visit visa applications because of red list ban, why are you people still counting? They will recommence when the ban is lifted. There is also the option to withdraw your passport so why are you people giving yourselves worrisome days and nights? Take it easy. |

Very HUGE GAMBLE. That was Y I also suggested Dubai or Istabul since wit the UK Visa, you can get Evisa for Turkey and easily get 1month Visa for Dubai. cutebear: It’s not safe to spend the 14 days in other African countries. This is obviously an attack on Africa as a whole! Imagine the South Africans that came to Nigeria to spend 14 days here in hopes that they will be able to enter the Uk after their time here. Just for UK to suddenly add Nigeria to that list. We don’t know which African country will be added to the red list next. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Spending 14 days in another African country is a huge gamble. |

Hmmmmm that sounds like a really good idea. But my fear is African countries are a target. Ghana also has cases of the Omicron Virus. So they might likely be entering that UK red list as well. samplay9: Benin republic is not in the uk red list zone, instead of spending money to turkey or dubai Why not take a bus to benin republic or flight and stay for 14 days and move to uk, even ghana too |

You are right. I would rather spend the 14days in Dubai or Istanbul and enjoy myself rather than being in any Quarantine hotel where they wldnt even treat 1 right. I will pass on their 10days Q and do 14days in another country. cutebear: I would rather spend 10 days in another country as a free human being than spend 10 days in their government hotel where they treat people like animals! Go and watch YouTube videos on the horrible treatment people got in those hotels!!! Imagine them feeding a Muslim man pork after he had told them several times that he can’t eat it! The man starved for days!!! That money is better spent in Dubai or Turkey where you won’t be miserable. The uk keeps proving how greedy and money hungry they are! |

Ok thankyou. Tot as much. That means the other route will be the best option then. Staying 2weeks in either Turkey or Dubai n enter the UK from there since 1 has been out of Nigeria for 10days.. abi? Nchabuomo: For now it is not available to non residents |
