I tot it was only UK & Irish nationals that have that option to Quarantine in a govt hotel for 10days? Is that option also available for Non residents or citizens?

I meant cost of Hotel booking during your stay in Dubai for 10days plus flight and other expenses. Is it not almost same as travelling directly to the UK from Nigeria and pay for the mandatory 10days quarantine

Now that Nigeria is on the red list, it is possible for somebody to travel to Turkey or Dubai, spend 2weeks there and then go2 the UK from there since those countries are not on the red list?

I said that because my brother & his Family applied for 6months Standard Visa and he put in £4000 for himself, Spouse, Son & Daughter and did a letter each for them explaining he will be taking care of all their expenses including flight, accommodation, feeding, daily expenses etc. You dnt need to put in diff amounts because that will require your spouse providing her own bank statement. They applied on the 30th August. Wife got 30th Sep, Son 5th Oct, Daughter 6th Oct while he got his 7th Oct.

Same thing you put in your application should be the same thing you put for your spouse and children. Then you do a letter for each of your Family member explaining to the ECO that you will take care of all their expenses(Flight,Accommodation, feeding etc)

Now for spouse’s application do I need to put 5K again ? Or what do I do.

It is not a problem. I know 2 diff pple that have traveled to the UK with their vaccine card and the batch no wasn't showing.

Yes ma! A very big problem. Please don't joke with ANY details on that vaccine certificate. Correct any correctable before travelling.

No it's not gonna be a Big problem because it is a general thing. I know about more than 10 of my colleagues that their batch no isn't showing. It was showing b4 but they removed it. So it's not a problem dear.

Batch number is not showing as well... its been like that for some time now.

O Lord... that will require them to now pay lots of money 2 rebook. So so sorry about that. Like what Debieeee said, they are very responsive when you call them. They will sort it out for them. Assuming it was a mistake with name or DOB, that can be updated after u scan the barcode

The mistake is from the Vaccination site, they must have put in d wrong date. But how is d date wrong? Can you explain better

I paid for PRIORITY application.

I did biometrics on the 17th Nov.

Application was received at DMC on the 18th Nov.

Tomorrow (29th Nov) will make it 8 WDs since my application was received at DMC.

I thought Priority application normally takes 5 WDs. Do these people think GBP 220 is cray fish? I even paid for self, wifey and child; that's GBP 660 (almost 370k).

Meanwhile, is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Pls help me out, i did my biometric on 6th of October 2021 i did not hear anything from them and i sent a mail to them on Thursday 25th November 2021, i received a mail this morning saying a decision is made on my passport.

Self service is the best option you can use. Just scan all your documents with your phone or wit a scanner and save either on your phone or laptop depending on what you want to use to upload your docs. Then you can also get a soft copy of your Bank Statement and save on your phone or laptop as well. Then you create folders for each documents you have so that it will be easy for you to identify them when uploading. It's as easy as that

Oh so that's how it works... Then once they get go ahead they stamp and then dispatch.

Passports are kept here , visas are stamped here , all they do is wait for approval from the visa office working on your file and put the thing on visa queue and dispatch to the pickup centre. Prior to 2011/12 we used to submit direct at Walter carrington.

They def keep the passports here in naija. I think they intentionally delay people's passports for no reason and it is really frustrating.
