Controversial Prophet Mboro, who was alleged to have been caught up in heaven on Easter Sunday might have gotten into trouble. Daily Sun SA reports that Prophet Mboro could face fraud charges. The Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities said they would lay charges of fraud against him if rumours that his church was selling the alleged selfies proved to be true. “We encourage people to read the Bible for themselves, and not rely on others to interpret it for them!” said commission chairwoman Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva. “We believe Mboro is just looking for ways to extort money from people. We know he never went to heaven. He is deceiving people, We’re going to summon him to explain to us whether he said those things or if it’s a joke.” he concluded. https://www.naij.com/790570-saying-jesus-christ-hot-sexy-wife-read-happened-top-prophet.html?utm_campaign=traqli&utm_source=traqli&utm_medium=traqli&source=traqli

The Federal High Court presided by the Chief Justice John Tsoho will resume hearing in the case of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Nnamdi Kanu today April 5. Ahead of the sitting a United States based human rights activist, Mary Helen Bernstein, writes an opent letter to Kanu, using the opportunity to express her support for Biafra. Dear Nnamdi: I don’t know if someone can get this to you by tomorrow but if not possible then shortly thereafter. I want to say that you have made the biggest impression on me over any pastors, professors or employers. I feel as if I know you personally through all your loyal followers and through your passionate videos. Your voice is so commanding and powerful that there is no doubt that you are God sent. I am here in America and I have never seen such sacrifice and love by a man. The attitude in America is very different generally reach the pinnacle of success at whatever cost in a fierce competitive struggle. I cannot wait to meet you one day as well as all of the wonderful Biafrans I communicate with here and more recently the Ambazonians. I am praying for your release as you have done nothing wrong despite the stubborn, ignorant government implying that you have for exercising freedom of speech and possessing dual passports. I will continue lobbying for your release and for Biafra as these are legitimate requests in spite of being viewed as a King’s ransom. We do not have anyone here of your caliber that has sacrificed so much for his people. I have never known someone or read about someone with so much integrity and honor other than Jesus Christ himself. Thank you Nnamdi https://www.naij.com/788653-theres-no-doubt-god-sent-read-open-letter-nnamdi-kanu.html?source=index_main

In what could be described as I-don’t-care- attitude, Oyo state governor Abiola Ajimobi has said he is not deterred by the strike threat of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), vowing that any worker who goes on strike will not be paid. He said ultimatum issued by Labour is not only surprising but unnecessary and uncalled-for in the prevailing circumstances. He urged the labour leaders to negotiate with the government, vowing that any worker who goes on strike without following due process will not be paid. The flamboyant governor equally said he is not ready and will not review the 90 per cent income dedicated for the payment of workers salary from the Federation Account. According to him, government cannot pay 62,000 workers with the money that ought to be used to maintain over 10 million citizens. “Modern day labour union and government relationship has listed steps that must be taken. Step one is if you have any concern about anything, there is a joint negotiation committee that is made up of government and workers, you first go there to discuss with them. “If after the discussion it does not work then you can go to the next level where the head of service and government will now appoint some people to discuss. It is when negotiations have broken down that labour can give notice of strike and not this old time labour government relationship where without discussing you will issue ultimatum to go on strike. “It is illegal because this is a government where law must be followed and obeyed, not this culture of impunity. It is wrong to give an ultimatum to go on strike without reaching a consensus with the government. “We have an agreement, there was a time we use to get close to N5 billion from the Federal Government and our IGR was like N1 billion, now everybody is aware of the situation, and now we are having N2 billion plus from Federal Governmen,” he was quoted by Nation newspaper. Also, traditional rulers in the state have begged the labour leaders not to go on strike. The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, said labour should be considerate and embrace the government’s conditions while the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, said: “The government has tried his best allocating 90 per cent of the federal allocation to pay the worker’s salary. The labour leaders only need to be patient and considerate.” Recall that another APC governor, the embattled Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai has gotten into another trouble as organized labour in the state are set to shut down all activities in the state following his alleged anti-workers policies and excesses. https://www.naij.com/788493-shocking-apc-governor-vows-not-pay-workers-salary.html?source=index_main

Members of the Nasarawa State House of
Assembly engaged in a free-for-all on Monday
over the appointment of sole administrators for 11
local government councils by Governor Tanko Al-
Makura.
The free-for-all occurred on the floor of the
legislature barely two hours after the governor
inaugurated the 11 sole administrators.
Glasses were shattered while tables and chairs
were upturned in the violence that engulfed the
House.
A faction that described the governor’s action as
illegal was opposed by another faction that
supported the action of the governor.
Some legislators sustained injuries during the
violence while some had their clothes torn.
Briefing newsmen at the legislative complex, a
member, House Committee on Information, Mr.
Makpa Malla, said that seats and tables were
broken during the fight.
Describing the appointment by the governor as
illegal, Malla said the Assembly could not continue
to watch the governor perpetrate illegalities in the
state.
He said, “As you can see, this is the executive
room of the state House of Assembly, where we sit
down every morning to discuss matters which
would bring development to the state and the
country at large.
“Categorically, I want to state here that the division
which caused this chaos was as result of the
appointment of the sole administrators by the
governor. As a responsible legislature with some
of us as lawyers, we insisted that the right thing
must be done.
“The Section 7 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria –
as amended – guarantees a democratic system of
governance at the local government level. The
provision of the constitution is explicit on how the
local government structure should be run.
“That is why we are kicking against the
appointment of the sole administrators. Sole
administrators only existed during the military era
and as respecters of the rule of law, we must
ensure that the executive must also respect the
rule of law.”
Malla, however, urged the people of the state to
remain calm and be law-abiding as the law would
take its course in the matter.
Also speaking during the press conference, Mr.
Abubakar Kana, an All Progressives Congress
member representing Kokona-West, said there was
no provision for the position of sole administrator
in the laws of Nasarawa State.
He said this was the reason why the lawmakers
kicked against the action of Al-Makura.
He said, “Where would the sole administrators
derive their powers from? Who determines the
tenure and salaries of the sole administrators? Sole
administrators are not known to Nigerian and
Nasarawa laws.
“If the sole administrators commit any offence,
under what law would they be tried?”
Reacting, the Deputy Speaker, Godiya Akwashiki,
who is a Peoples Democratic Party member
representing Nasarawa-West, condemned the
action of those who opposed the governor’s
action.
He said the 24-member House would not be
cowed by a few members who had gone on a
campaign of calumny against the state.
Akwashiki said, “They accused some of us of
receiving N50m bribe each from the governor. I
want them to come out with proof. They should
show the world the video to back up their
allegations.
“Although there is the principle of separation of
powers, we still meet with the governor when
necessary. The meeting could be on his request or
on our request.
“Last week Friday, the Speaker of the House wrote
a letter to the governor, requesting that the House
wanted to see him. The governor granted our
demand by honouring our invitation. The governor
invited all of us but only 17 of us attended the
meeting in Abuja while others stayed back.”
Akwashiki said the false allegation of bribery was
one of the reasons why a few members of the
legislature opposed the action of the governor.
The deputy speaker said the lawmakers met with
the governor over a court judgment which ordered
that the tenure of the 11 council chairmen must
not exceed two years.
He said the governor had to inaugurate the 11 sole
administrators because of the security situation in
the state, adding that on account of this, it would
be wrong to fault the governor’s decision.
“We cannot afford to leave the councils without
heads. The tenure of the former local government
chairmen expired on March 24, 2016,” he said.

On Sunday, April 3, Davido’s babay mama Sophie
Momodu came back on social media after the
messy child custody drama she had with the
singer.
Ovation Magazine boss Dele Momodu’s niece has
found something to do and her uncle is ready to
help propel her to the big market. Sophie is set to
launch her own fashion line called Precious
Jewels.
According to Dele Momodu, Davido’s baby mama
“knows her past, understands her present and
moves towards the future.”
Her uncle shared her new moves on his Instagram,
tagging it: “SOPHIE MOMODU set to launch her
Fashion line… “
He wrote: “The African woman is the most hidden
treasure on earth.. Often highly underestimated.
She’s proud of herself, she respects herself &
others. She’s aware of who she is.. She neither
seeks definition from friends nor does she expect
anyone to read her mind. She’s quite capable of
articulating her needs. A good African woman is
hopeful & strong enough to make all her dreams
come true.
She knows love therefore she gives love.
She knows her past, understands her present &
moves towards the future. She does not live in fear
of the future because of her past. Instead she
understands that her life experiences are lessons
meant to bring her closer to self knowledge &
unconditional self love.
The African woman knows God…”
Aside her fashion line, Sophie is also working on a
foundation, Precious Jewels Foundation, which she
will launch soon.
During the media drama, Davido called the mother
of his daughter a lazy woman
and accused her of trying to leech off his family’s
wealth. His fans were unrelenting in their attack on
Sophie, even after the Adeleke and Momodu
families settled. The mother of one was forced to
withdraw from social media.

Ohali-Elu town in Rivers state was left in disarray following an attack perpetuated by Fulani herdsmen on the community which left a pastor and 11 others dead. It was reported that the herdsmen invaded the community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area On Wednesday, March 30 after a burial ceremony. Vanguard reports that the attack was first suspected to be the work of cultist but investigation revealed that it was carried out by herdsmen following the disappearance of their cows. Ahmad Muhammad who is the spokesperson of the police force in the state said that the killing was not unconnected to the missing cows and claimed only six people were reportedly killed as against the 12 reported by some members of the community. The spokesperson revealed that only the body of the pastor, Geoffrey Ogagaghene was recovered while the bodies of the others have not been seen. “The command found it instructive to state that last Thursday, at about 5:30a.m, the police in Egi Division received a report that on Wednesday at about 10:00 p.m, unidentified assailants suspected to be herdsmen struck in Ohali-Elu town leaving one Pastor Geoffrey Ogagaghene with severe cutlass cuts that later led to his death.” “It’s also pertinent to state that in the build-up to the attack, there was a case of stealing of unspecified number of cows belonging to some herdsmen allegedly perpetrated by the youths of the community, but the case was never reported to the police. “It is reasonably suspected that the attack might have been carried out by the herdsmen as reprisal for stealing their cows. “Unconfirmed sources indicated six other persons lost their lives after the attack, the death of these six persons still remain unconfirmed for the simple reason that the police neither recovered nor visibly saw the corpses at the time of responding to the incident.” Muhammad said investigation was still going on to bring the perpetrators to book while armed officers have been deployed to restore order. Meanwhile, Fulani herdsmen under the aegis of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria have condemned reports painting them as criminals and mass killers. Alhaji Muhammadu Kiruwa, who is the national president of the association said the herdsmen were disturbed by the recent spate of attacks between the farming community and herdsmen and noted that Fulani herdsmen have become infamous serial killers in the media. https://www.naij.com/787174-bloody-read-fulani-herdsmen-pastor-others-rivers-cows-went-missing.html?source=index_main |

One of Tuface Idibia’s baby mama, Sunmbo ‘Ajaba’ Adeoye has revealed exactly how she felt when Tuface proposed to Annie Macaulay four years ago. Apparently, Sunmbo said she wasn’t really perturbed about the news of the father of her children proposing to someone else because she had known that ahead of time. It was reported that in a single parents forum, Sunmbo said: “I remember the day when my baby daddy proposed to his girlfriend, I was on the list of those that will take praise in church for that Wednesday… well I had known what was going on but it didn’t affect me because I had known what I wanted, so I had let go of that choice for God’s will for me.” “So I came to church, I was leading the praise session and everyone was just looking at me with pity eyes like ‘omo yi o mo nkan ti on sele (this girl doesn’t know what has happened).” “After service, one sister even came to me and said it is well and in my mind, I was like what happened, did somebody die?. The person felt I was faking that I wasn’t hurt by the proposal but she and the others didn’t know I had been healed by God for my own expected end.”

All these indirect attacks on churches in the guise
of religious bills have to stop Biko! Kaduna state
governor Nasir El Rufai, a few days ago forwarded
a bill to the State House of Assembly, stating that
religious leaders in the state will have to obtain a
one year license to preach in the state. Reacting to
this news, Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries
(OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleiman, called on the
governor to revoke the bill now or die.
According to Suleiman, El Rufai has no right to
regulate the activities of religious leaders when he
has not regulated the activities of traditionalists in
the state. He said before El Rufai became governor,
they were men of God and that they will still
remain men of God when he leaves office.
“I want to warn the governor of Kaduna state.
Many times I have read in the papers how he
abused Jesus and Christians came after him.
He said that they are joking that nothing can
happen. I am talking to you, Kaduna
Governor. Listen, I am not against sanitizing
a state but you say people should get licence
for preaching; it is not applicable in Nigeria.
Even a herbalist does not get a license for
practicing herbalism. When you say license
for preaching, then you are standing against
the constitution that says freedom of worship.
I have no problem, we can test powers now.
There are certain laws that cannot happen in
this country. Not when Nigeria is under God.
If need be, over this matter, heaven will
intervene. I am saying this specifically to the
executive governor of Kaduna, revoke this law
or die!” he said
Read what the bill is about below…
The Religious Regulation Bill, designed to replace
the Religious Regulation Edict of 1984, is geared
towards regulating Christianity and Islam as it
seeks to create an inter-faith Ministerial
Committee to be appointed by the governor and
exercise control over Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI,
and the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN. High
points of the bill include:
*The ministerial committee shall issue licenses to
religious bodies.
*Without such licenses, you cannot preach.
*No external preacher can preach in Kaduna
without a permit.
*The committee has the power to refuse to issue
licenses No criteria are given as to what will
qualify one to have a license issued to him or for
one to be denied a license.
The bill empowers JNI and CAN to keep records of
churches and mosques including data of
preachers. The law criminalizes the use of religious
CDs, flash drive and other communication gadgets
except in churches, mosques or other places of
worship or personal houses. The implication is
that you cannot listen to Christian tapes in your
car or at any place except your house and in a
church.
If you preach without a license, you are guilty of an
offence punishable by two years imprisonment. If
you hold any Christian gathering even in a church
and use loud speaker (microphone) after 8.00 p.m,
you are guilty of an offence punishable with two
years imprisonment.
If you listen to a message in your car, you are
guilty of an offence punishable by two years
imprisonment. If you hold a crusade or any
programme or any other kind of programme and
use a loudspeaker at the said programme as long
as it is not a church, you are guilty of an offence
punishable by two years imprisonment.
The bill criminalizes the abuse of religious books
and makes it punishable by two years
imprisonment. (It does not define what ‘abuse of
religious books’ mean. It criminalizes the use of
derogatory terms in describing any religion and
makes it punishable by two years imprisonment. It
does not define what ‘use of derogatory terms in
describing any religion’ means.)
Every preacher will have to obtain one year license
(renewable every year) or risk two years
imprisonment. If you invite any external preacher
(i.e. preacher from outside Kaduna State), such a
person must be licensed for the duration of his/her
stay and the body issuing the license has the right
to reject the external preacher if it feels he is not
qualified to preach in the state. |
According to reports, the Archbishop of the Archdiocese, Most Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma, disclosed that the church has officially banned wearing sleeveless and revealing dresses to church weddings, reception and it service, in other to return moral chastity on persons, especially women who attend such functions in the church. He also directed priests and senior clergymen to henceforth inspect wedding gowns and approve them before the solemnization of weddings as using veils to cover sleeveless wedding dresses would not be allowed again in Anglican churches in Enugu. “I have directed ushers and wardens in various churches in Enugu to ensure that no sleeveless- dressed girl, lady or women enters into the church under any guise. Whether it is the church wedding, reception or any other program celebrated in the church or within the church premises, it will not be allowed. We will collaborate with the governors’ wives to organize seminars and workshops for fashion designers in the zone for them to join this campaign,” he allegedly said. He lastly said that this conclusion was reached in other to curb indecent dressing which would help to check sexual harassment and provocation, which lead to prostitution and rape in the society. |

Lol....the mystery behind this year's utme exam eh.....its beyond me o. |
Last year that I didn't even read at all, I ended up having 228 and I was so happy that Jamb could be so merciful enough to dash me 228. Now, after all preparations, after resigning from my place of work amidst protests from family members just to give my books my uttermost attention, I ended up having 190! 1 frecking 90! My dad even made it worse by saying "ah ah, you failed na". like seriously? didn't even bother explaining anything to him. Jamb should remark this exam, especially those that wrote on 7th, 8th & 9th or cancel it! |
