When worldly people(sinners) get rich, no one complains but when men of God get rich people are upset. The bible says it is God that gives power to get wealth.

WHAT?!That is not why Jesus was poor.His poverty was to show us humility(God the Son who owns everything became a poor carpenter).If Jesus spoke of wealth in any way,it was about spiritual wealth.JESUS NEVER ENCOURAGED MAKING LOTS OF MONEY.But instead he told us to accept whatever he gives to us just like the birds of the air.

It was Judas who criticized Mary for spending on Christ with the argument that such spending should have been given to the poor, an argument Jesus countered(John 12:3-5). Many had the same challenge that made them poor but utilized it to become rich while they were giving excuses. I get what you are saying.But Jesus preached poverty and a way of the cross,so that we can get greatness in heaven.And remember Jesus and his apostles lived poor but evangelical lives.Remember what he told Nicodemus, and also his parable about Lazarus.Now tell me how this pastor can now preach all this with the way he FLAUNDERS his wealth.There is no problem with having money,but how you use it matters a lot(especially for a pastor).
It would have been great if we read that he had just bought many buses for evangelization.That's what the early apostles would have done in these times if they wanted to commemorate an anniversary for serving in the Lord's vineyard.

To everyone,their birthday is special.Even if it isn't one's birth month,you still get that emotional rush/sentimental feeling when you see the month or date anywhere.
But what is sad is that when that great day comes,some people spend it partying from morning till night and doing immoral things.
Granted,it's good to celebrate.But must it be that way?Of what benefit will that be?
I firmly believe that your birthday should be a day of recollection and silence.After coming home from work or school,enter a dark secluded place and ponder all your life decisions.Meditate.Think about how you spent your year;what you've done,where you're coming from,how much you have achieved,and where you're going to.
This way,you can identify and eliminate all things holding you back and put set plans to make your future brighter.
I also believe that it's only sensible to celebrate a birthday at all when you have achieved THAT thing you badly want and know you deserve.
So dont drink away a great day,celebrate your achievements with your family and friends and most importantly ALWAYS thank Almighty God for keeping you alive.

Many disregard this because of John 14:28:"The father is greater than I".To them this statement so obviously means Jesus is not God.But is this really what our Lord was saying?In theology,this text can be understood in two ways.
First,being 'greater' than another does not have to mean one is essentially different from the other,as when we say man is distinct from an animal.Greatness cao refer to one functioning in a greater way quantitatively or even relatively in comparison to another,without there being a distinction.For example in Matt 11:11 it is said that no man is greater than John the Baptist,yet he that is least in the kingdom is greater than he.
Another simpler way one can legitimately interpret this text is to point out that John 14:28 seems to be emphasizing the humanity of Christ(his human and not his divine nature).
The same Jesus who can say,"I and the Father are one" in John 10:30-as God-can say,"The Father is greater than I" in John 14:28-as man.

John 5:18:"He called God his Father,making himself equal with God."
Phil 2:6-10:"his equality with God not something to be grasped on to,but emptying himself and becoming man"[Paul is talking about the humility of Jesus being divine.He assumes his readers already knew Jesus to be equal with God the Father]
Both John and Paul clearly believed this.And in the New Testament,Jesus is given the title Lord as uniquely applied to Yahweh in the Old Testament;and he calls himself"the Lord of the Sabbath"(Mark 2:28)

The final proof of Jesus divinity is in Revelation 21:6-7) where he reveals himself to John as Almighty God in plain terms:"And he said to me, 'It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega.......He who conquers shall have this heritage,and I will be his God".
