joywendy: yes i also asked a question there. what is the difference between the two. love and lust?a very HUGE and MIGHTY difference....one difference that is so obvious is that lust is based on the sex-ual(or outward) urge for a person's physical body...in other words, lust is often confused with love, it is purely physical attraction and has NO LASTING EFFECT ....on the other hand LOVE(THE ORIGINAL ONE )...does have a lasting effect...not exactly grin mmm...love itself is a very wide topic i get but how do you know the kind of love we are talking about?are we talking about love has a feeling or as an emotion? since love itself has different meanings, if this kind of love you say we are talking about is 'hinged' and related to respect. Then there is another type of love that isn't related or hinged to respect, am i right?dont mean to go scriptural from the bible(dats if you are not a christian ),but if you read and study 1st corinthians 13:4-7,you will understand the kind of LOVE am practising ....am not saying feelings or emotions are not part of love but you know as well as i do dat dose entities dont really stand the test of time though i must admit that they are also needed to spice up a relationship and,to an extent,marriage....yes there is a type of LOVE that has no RESPECT and you know the outcome of such love...right? ![]() thank youclap 4 ya sef ![]() mmm...forced? i don't believe it is being forced on you, you have the choice to either be rude or be respectful. Though most people will go for the latter. so that meansmaybe you arent seeing the CAJOLING EFFECT cos if you did you would know what am talking about...by the way knowing your rights or standing ur grounds in the face of adversity or intimidation does not make you arrogant or rude... mmm i see...let me take your statement as an AFFIRMATION to my explanation ![]() lolz smart guytanks 4 d compliment ![]() mmm... i will also take that as an affirmationlolz researches? on what? you just made things worse no offense.yes my dear....RESEARCHES! thats wat seperates you from that dark hole called IGNORANCE....remember the salt and hot water theory ![]() i m more confused than i was when i entered this thread. thanks for the offer but i will pass. ...just so we are clear,i wasn't ASKING...it was me being COURTEOUS!! ![]() |
Hotdiamond: I'm confused now. which should I go forsince your MAJOR requirement is DUAL SIM,i suggest you go 4 the phantom z...besides both smarts phones are very good with correct specs...more high tech phones are yet to arrive...BUY THE PHONE THAT MEETS YOUR NEED |
amosdrizzy: fu*k love ![]() |
joywendy: of course he is entitled to his own opinion. Probably he does and probably he doesn't. What is then the difference between the two? of course he is entitled to his own opinion. Probably he does and probably he doesn't. What is then the difference between the two?atleast we agree on one thing:everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion You haven't defined love to me. You defined true love not love.you used the word I ask you to define to define what I asked you to define.i guess u never read what i said about love...let me repeat it again for you before i define the word love,be reminded that LOVE has a variety of related but distinct meanings in different contexts but the LOVE that concerns our discuss is TRUE LOVE hope we are clear on that...remember the love we are referring to is hinged or related to RESPECT..we werent talking about unconditional love...i hope u now understand my point! it is very possible to respect someone you don't love.well thats ur opinion which u r entitled to.. The case between a student and a teacher can be used as an example. A student can hate a teacher but still gives him/her respect. Just so that he/she can probably just have good grades and all. Would you say that love is neccesary here? What of the case between an empolyer and employee? ...well i have had such experiences and believe me wen i tell you that the RESPECT i had for some(not all cos some were exceptional) of my teachers then were CAJOLED and not genuine and just like you 'indirectly said',it was done to gain favour or to obtain marks 4rm such lecturers or teachers...let me ask..have you ever admired or valued the undeniable qualities of a good teacher up until now? such persons will forever be treasured in your heart due to their impact in ur life..thats the respect am talking about not the one forced on you!You haven't defined love to me. You defined true love not love. You used the word I ask you to define to define what I didn't ask you to define.like i said previously, LOVE has a variety of related but distinct meanings in different contexts Also i must admit that i used true love, but i used it because its closely related to RESPECT... If true love is what you say then true love itself can fade which most people would argue that it isn't true.still its only ur opinion and i respect that...and am thankful you know ur opinion of true love is debatable ![]() Good you defined respect well, so you agree that respect has different definitions?lol..ok my friend let me explain...wen i said (true )love and respect are not the same,i only meant that they are closely related in the sense that one gives birth to another...just like belief produces faith and understanding produces trust...they may slightly have different meanings but are closely related to each other...shey u get my point? So I ask again what is love? Please don't go round the bush, just hit the nail on the head my dear...its really difficult 2 give love a universal meaning unless you are specific ....but d kind of love i defined which is TRUE LOVE is closely connected to RESPECT...and that is d point am trying to stress...if you have something different that is connected to respect, please feel free to let me know....finally,what i have said are based on my opinions, experiences and researches...and i do not intend to drag dis issue any further thereby derailing the thread...but if u want 2 discuss further,u can send me a pm and we can discus but dats ur choice not mine ![]() |
joywendy: exactly what I was saying but he said that love itself doesn't exist that the love we see now is lust and not love. True but you can respect someone you don't love. True or false? but he said that love itself doesn't exist that the love we see now is lust and not love.i tink he is entitled to his own opinion about love but in some cases many confuse lust with love or maybe he doesnt understand the REAL MEANING OF LOVE AND LUST. True but you can respect someone you don't love. True or false?false...one introduces the other...in this case love begets respect...i give u an instance,if you dont love your parents, its obvious that you will surely disrespect or disregard them.. First of all, what is love and what is respect?LOVE--before i define the word love,be reminded that LOVE has a variety of related but distinct meanings in different contexts but the LOVE that concerns our discuss is TRUE LOVE...is love you have for a person whom you are deeply committed and greatly VALUE ! RESPECT--1.admire (someone or something) deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements. 2.esteem, admire, think highly of, have a high opinion of, hold in (high) esteem, think much of, appreciate, CHERISH, VALUE, TREASURE N.B--i never said love and respect are the SAME! |
stagger: Why should they do that? So that you will learn from their errors and have an unfair edge over them? This is a business plan COMPETITION bro.smh |
joywendy: mmm....i once had an argument with someone over this love topic.I believe dat person is not taking love in its entirety... u cannot love someone that you can't respect....love comes with respect....! |

Kay17: Supposing I concede that a ship needs ONE captain, what if I'm the better leader? Wouldn't it be irresponsible to concede leadership to a worse leader? ..am happy we are slightly in agreement about ONE CAPTAIN IN A SHIP...now i dont know if u r a christian,if u r wat i wud say wud b a lot easier to sink in but if u r not, well,it may be slightly hard but i will try...now i believe u r a lady? i also believe u r a nigerian..rite(even if u r not it still doesnt matter)...my question is simply...wen u get married wat happens 2 ur name especially ur surname..? guess it will change 2 dat of ur husband's surname...rite? in response 2 d bolded,if u dont want 2 concede leadership to a wrong person in dis case ur husband i guess ,why not marry a man that has an amazing character with exceptional leadership qualities...like i told u in my former post,u can not marry a guy whom u can not love or respect...and if u cant respect him,u can not submit 2 him..its as simple as that..but if u tink that u can make a better leader in marriage where ur husband is...well ..i only have ONE word 4 u...GOODLUCK!! |

),but if you read and study 1st corinthians 13:4-7,you will understand the kind of LOVE am practising
