How do I get VirtaCoin? And Exchange?

If you are a former VirtaPay member, and you have not yet gotten your VirtaCoins, you must go to the VirtaCoin official site, download the VirtaCoin QT Wallet, login to your VirtaPay account and you will see your balance, and your private key.

Now, after that, normally you either mine VirtaCoin, earn VirtaCoin, or go to an exchange (See "Exchanges" Below)

You should not have problem at all. Just download the wallet, do not worry about the encryption now, it is because you just downloaded it. Now make sure you use a network that is from 3G. By this it should start synchronization automatically by saying you 5years behind, 4years behind, 2years behind, 1year behind till it finishes. You are now done!
After this, login into your virtapay account to copy paste your private key to the specified space as directed on virtacoin.com.

Do not worry about encryption. It is because you just downloaded the wallet. Now, login into Your virtapay account, you would find the private key in it.

Please use computer for now. Unlike bitcoin. Even you cannot just dabble into bitcoin network and say I want to have a wallet. Bitcoin wallet is for android only while bitcoin core client is for comoputer, mac, linux and the likes.

Please do not confuse the community. Do not quote what you do not know. The coins are quoted in coins. For example the figure may come and say 1 VTA = 0.0001 BTC or 0.01 BTC or 0.1 BTC or the equivalent litecoin like 1 VTA = 1 LTC and then convert to dollar, not from dollar first please.
