1. We spend billions of dollars in foreign universities. 2. We import apparently everything ( there was a recent case where couples imported plates of soup). 3. Our politicians rather pile up stolen monies in foreign accounts than invest it back into the system . 4. Our values are decaying ( we barely have any thing that would attract foreign investors apart from oil) . 5. Oil and gas dependency ( for decades we've refused to diversify ). Its like running a car without oil expecting the engine wouldn't breakdown.
Feel free to add yours. |

Jobs/Vacancies › My Word For Today Is Negotiate by brokenplate(op): 2:55pm On Feb 02, 2017 |
Never stop at the first offer no matter how impressive it seems. This plays well mostly for candidates . Employers always have a specified budget for a role they looking to fill.
And depending on the organization , there's no price cut on stone for an exceptional candidate
So its wouldn't hurt to press a little on negotiations but not without giving valid points to impress the employer. |

cc150615: I'm sorry to burst your bubble sir, but not to sound like I just want to argue ; permit me to state that FACTUALLY, there are many legit companies in Ikorodu(Ikorodu Rd inclusive offcos) Ketu and Iyanaworo nd there are also scam/gnld companies on the island so if you start screening your invites just by 'location' you might be missing out on some really cool jobs (like they say big things sometimes come in small packages). What you should have placed more emphasis on is the 'address' as opposed to 'location' ; I believe you know that those 2 mean different things. Many times, with few exceptions tho, looking up an address on Google will give you all the information you need. Futhermore, there is a thread in this section that deals with how to recognise a scam/gnld job invite where I believe all the other signs to watch out for are properly discussed so I don't need to go over them again. I took my time to make this explanation not to prove anything but because I've seen some of your posts in this section and....I dunno what to say...but nonetheless....
I will go with this one.
I'm passionate to see you succeed!
I wish you success too. |
