Solutuonye or what do u call urself, you need to understand that leadership is not done with sentiments. All you are saying here is just sentimental. You cannot give us any tangible reason to want Ohakim. If you ar in Lagos you will see that Fashola made all oppositions irrelevant with the works he has done. That is leadership. But wat do u tell us as reason for asking Okiham back, because its his turn. U ar just plain numb.

Lets not fight here ok, I respect your opinion but I think we can stand taller than allowing people to pitch us together. I stated earlier that I am not here to campaign for anybody but here to appeal to people to see reason and work together for the betterment of imolites. Its how we present ourselves that people will take us.

When I was away, we were a laughing stock because people said we are not respecting our governor. Its not good at all. You and I know that sometimes, we can save the day by allowing peace to reign. We all know the likely fall out of power tussle and we are trying to avoid it. We are looking at an Imo where all the people fighting for power can come together and allow the Governor to finish his remaining tenure peacefully. He started some projects which will be completed in another 4 yrs and he cant overstay it. We dont want them abandoned.

With the way imolites are going, Imo may burn and we wont profit from it. We can beat our chest and forgive and for the sake of peace, allow him to finish 4 yrs. Do you think he doesnt have conscience, he will certainly make up for his mistakes and make Imo greater, but he cant do it without me and you. I respect you and your opinion my brother, but lets sue for peace and allow Ohakim a breathing space to prove himself.

Can you just listen to yourself. This is not a time to be sentimental. Ohakim has already boiled Imo. So there's nothing he can do about it. Imo is already burning. The only way to cool it is if he quits. If a child could not walk after 4 years, what hope do you have it would do in the next four years. The bible says a tree that didnt grow after 4 years should be pulled out. That is what Imolites want.

I saw it but I respect the authorities. We need to stop inciting others because if Imo burns, we all burn. we need to start now to figure out a way in which all our leaders in Imo work together under one umbrella to move the state forward. We cant achieve that by acting as their thugs but by cautioning those who are inciting us with lies and telling them to embrace peace. Contrary to reports that All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Owelle Rochas Okorocha won the April 26 gubernatorial poll in Imo State, it was actually the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) torch bearer and incumbent governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim that carried the day.

According to results obtained in Owerri, governor Ohakim scored a total of 310,104 votes to floor Okorocha who garnered 305,263 votes.

Governor Ohakim also met the mandatory requirement of scoring 25% of the votes in 22 council areas while Okorocha got 25% only in 17 council areas.

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume made 25% in six council Areas.

The voting pattern along zonal lines show that Owerri and Orlu gave Okorocha the highest votes while Okigwe zone backed Ohakim and Ararume strongly.

However, the PDP won House of Assembly seats across the three zones while APGA in only two zones of Orlu and Owerri.

PDP's 16 Assembly seats are Okigwe, Onuimo, Isiala Mbano, Aboh Mbaise, Ezinihitte Mbaise, Ahiazu Mbaise, Ikeduru, Isu, Nkwerre, Nwangele, Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema and Orsu.

APGA won seven assembly seats which are Ideato South, Ideato North, Orlu, Oru East, Oru West, Owerri Municipal and Owerri North.

I am not sharing money with Ohakim and i respect your opinion. Udenwa has ruled and gone. Ohakim is in the play now, Udenw did well and Orlu people are smiling. Ohakim is not selfish to go and favor his people first. He started all round in Imo. See Owerri for example, are u not happy about how it looks See Oguta wonderlake resort, are u not happy about the project See the ring roads to decongest traffic in Imo, they are there, and u can actually investigate them. Education is the beginning and end of any societal growth. The first priority of govt shld be education, second, education, third, education. Imolites are not asking for free education thought we dont mind if we are offered, we are asking for affordable education, a good environment and a little empowerment

Ohakim is toying wth the future of Imo thats why he can increase the cost of tuition from 12k to over 100k and wen asked shuts the school down. Okorocha may not be a saint but he is 1 million times better than Okiham. He is not the richest man in Imo yet he is using the little he has to educate the downtrodden.

U pro ohakim are simply miopic and not telling urselves the truth. Ohakim hijacked the imo website and is using it for his campain and slaughter of opposition and hijacked the state media. Thats Ohakim for you.

I am a CEO of a company and I can tell you that wen we want to hire ppl we dont tell the applicants to pay 2500. And wen we advertise for 2 ppl we get between 80-100 application. Imagine how many application Ohakim got when he guaranteed 10,000 jobs. Over 500,000. He pocketed the money and rented KEKE NAPEP for our graduates. Thats insult

I am glad that some pro Ohakim camp are now in this forum. I am glad that people are putting sentiments aside and then thinking rationally towards the governor and all he has done for Imo state. Ohakim should be supported to win because he did much in his first 4 years so I am 101% sure tht he will do more during the second term. I agree that he has messed up big time on certain issues but we are all humans so we should forgive him.

It is ID.I0TS like you who make this country remain where it is. No one is saying INEC is not trying. Neither are we saying that our textings, facebookings, twitterings and bloggings will make them declare Rochas the winner, but in the end we would have made a point in one way or the other. The only thing evil needs to thrive is for good people to do nothing, say nothing and just watch. We are only making a point for record and reference purposes.

If Ohakim is the JESUS that must govern Imo, then even the youths online will attest to it cos that is freest and fairest avenue to air your views these days without being killed.

I am from Imo state so my accusations are not based on rumours. Fashola is the incumbent here in Lagos. How many strong opposition did he have. Everyone wanted him back because he proved he was worth it and he made the opposition irrelevant. But your Ohakim has spent 4 years and the best your friends and you sould say is just try him for the second time. The bible says that if a tree takes 4 years without showing any sign of growth then it should be pulled off.

Rochas is not the saint but he is 1,000,000 times better than Ohakim. We want the man who will ask our youths to bring 2500 for jobs and use it to complete his hotel in South Africa to go to jail. I do not know why some of you guys are kidding yourselves commenting
on everything you log on to hoping that it will change the inevitable.
In actuality, a lot of people voted for Ohakim and I saw it with my
own eyes. The only difference was his voters were not mainly the
youth. The youth are the ones using Social Media sites (Twitter,
Facebook, and Blogs) to voice their hatred for Ohakim. Whereas,
business investors, political big wigs, corporate officers and such
will not use such platforms to voice their support for him. Have you
all forgotten that this man raised millions of US dollars at his
re-election campaign fundraiser alone? Notice, they never released the
names of the individuals there. It's because they are Imo's and
Nigeria's elite. If you are placing your bets on a man that promises
free tution for universities to all Imolites then you are just as
simple minded as it gets. If the US and UK could not offer those
benefits to it's students, why would you think Imo could? I see that
people are upset with Ohakim because they do not feel he did anything
for Imo, but where was this anger and outrage when the previous
Governor was elected twice? If I recall he did nothing, did not even
place fresh flowers or repaint one Owerri roundabout. Yet we Youth
are threatening violence and rioting if Rochas is not governor because
we believe he will create change. In America the youth all voted for
a President that promised them change, now over 40% are out of work.
The 60% who are working are not just lucky, God-fearing individuals;
they have made success happen for them instead of placing all their
hope on one person and waiting for them to create all these wishful
opportunities for them. If you want a better future, you create your
path towards it; don't wait on someone else to. If you want God to
answer your prayers, you dont include hateful sentiments in it because
it will only garner the attention of the devil and I truly believed
that is what has happened. I say all these things with the deepest
sincerity.

Your grandfather and your great grand father voted for Ohakim for 3k each. Too bad. Well just go and live with it.

I live in the UK and do not even have a vote in Nigeria but it is really worrying that a man like Ohakim is hated by everyone in this forum and beyond. What has he done to deserve such a dislike? Are you people saying that he has not done ANY good thing for Imo State? As regards the Onwuliris, I know that no person in Nigeria is loved by everyone so as a VC, he made good friends and enemies as well. I am still convinced that Ohakim should be allowed to have another mandate irrespective of his purported shortcomings. I know that he is at moment shaken by the sheer number of people that do not want him back as a governor. Personally, I have seen positive changes in Imo and though, I am not a fan of Ohakim but still think that he should be allowed to go again.
