MrDojo:150k, you mean, 150,000 words? This should be like 7-10 books. Or, is it a fiction book? Fiction books have the toughest competition. If it is non fiction, I think you should consider breaking it down |
MrDojo:Why are you working yourself up on this? Write books and make money. They will take the tax from Al sales made in the US marketplace any time they want to pay you |
Thanks to everyone who kept this thread alive. I'm sorry I've been absent lately. Please find your way to the group. The WhatsApp group. Looks like there's more content there and follow up than here. Blessings |
First and foremost, speak to your lawyer right now in case of... Next... Stop signing. In law you're a part of the crime. Deal with your fear of losing your job. Even if you do, you would have stood for what is right |
This is how a speech should be. Send it to Buhari. Very inspiring. |

Modath |
Hmm. What's the essence of adding "Modified" on Your thread title? Just curious because it makes it look like the thread I opened here last year. Not against it though but I would have preferred you be yourself and use your titles to avoid confusion. for instance, I just saw the thread title and thought it was that thread. Blessings |
Mynd44:Behead a sitting president. Lol. Trump has been painted with worse words. Obama too had his bucket full of it. And many others. That's the strength and weakness of democracy |
Oche211:Like I said, NK had wrong approaches to several aspects of the struggle. But his force woke up Nigerians to the obvious failure of the system and renewed the call for restructuring. Now watch that call die naturally. That's the point |
Celcius:For now, it's rested. The rest coming over the next few weeks are simply emotions. Outbursts and all that. But this matter has been fixed, albeit the wrong way. I for one didn't even see this whole street protests as going to birth Biafra. But an opportunity for the country to sit down and chart a better course for everyone. But it's been trounced. Watch the call for restructuring also die a natural death. that's the point |
Mynd44:Well, I don't know about the Chicago stuff but I'm sure that every country's Military does not get involved with quelling street protests, with a Military operation. By all standards, it's against the rules of military engagement. That is if you take politics and ethnicity away from these whole abracadabra |
Danielmoore:And they will win. You seem not to know that Nigerian politics is all about N1,000 each. It's not really about the people. |
"We have a responsibility to history - and to a concerned world - to set the record straight." - Hillary Clinton. Anytime you hear that Nigerian politics is a dirty game, always remember Nnamdi Kanu. He has been played, and it was all for politics. For the military to proscribe him a terrorist (though wrong) is understandable. They had an order from above to stop him by all means. But if you thought that order was not supported by the South East Governors, your governors, his own people, then you're on your own. It was all for politics. The way and manner in which the so-called governors rushed and supported the proscription, you'll begin to wonder if these were not the same people that held a meeting with him a few days ago, snapped pictures with him, gave him hope that they are listening, looking for a common ground for everyone. So how did they suddenly come to an agreement after a short emergency meeting? Why not call on the army and the presidency to withdraw soldiers with immediate effect and let them sort the issue out since they were already talking? Why not stand their ground and say, "no, you cannot turn this place into a war zone?" Instead, they rushed quickly and said, "Ya, he's a terrorist. He's banned and outlawed henceforth." Imagine that! Indeed, those who ate with you are the ones who will always sell you out. The enemy within is the one who will always connive with the enemy without. Moving forward, if you think that Nnamdi Kanu is not finally done, then you're dreaming. He's been played. He's been fixed the Nigerian way, albeit, by his own kinsmen. IPOB is finally rested. In the next few weeks, you'll hear about UN, EU, Amnesty, etc., petitions, but that's it. Nothing else. My advice to Nnamdi Kanu is this: Yes, I do not fully agree with all your words, but I fully believe in the dream of the sun rising from the East. I think you've done your best. Posterity will always remember you. You were a lion, and you went for the kill. But It's time for you to move on. This chess is over. Your men undid you. And to all my Igbo brothers, I say, welcome to the chase. Eric Arthur Blair, better known by his pen name, George Orwell, called it The Animal Farm. "We are all equal, but some are more equal than others." Back to politics, business as usual, until the next 50 years. It is well, even in the well. |
Not even one mention of "Thank you Osinbajo for a job well done" Chai, Buhari. Always missing opportunity to mend fences and move is forward. Just threats and more threats. |
I NOW HAVE A MANUAL Hi guys, After one year in this business, I have now written a manual to share my experiences so far. It will also provide a good entry level information for getting started with writing, publishing and selling books online through Amazon. I also talked about niche research and niches that have better chances of success, plus how to source content for your books. You can request the manual today by writing me at the email on the first page of this thread. Please note that the manual is not free. I spent time and effort to write it so definitely I'm selling it. This doesnt stop the free guides going on whatsapp, and this thread. The free lessons will continue. THE WHATSAPP GROUP That reminds me, if you are not on that WhatsApp group, you are missing. Many of the guys who started following from this thread, who didn't believe they could write have made some nice income. They can testify. To join the WhatsApp group, you have to WhatsApp me, or AncientTimes. Do not just drop your number. We don't have time to start saving everyone's number and then adding them one after another. But when you send a message, it's easy to give you the join link. There are now over 130 members on the group. Read backward to get our numbers. And by the way, all the lessons in the WhatsApp group remain FREE. Blessings |
modath:Modath and I have transacted Payoneer. Payment was Swift. So house, I add Modath as one of our recommended Payoneer buyers in Nairaland. If you go to the Ecurrency thread you'll also see she's one of the most trusted dealers. So many people use her as escrow. Just be sure to do a small due diligence and ascertain that you're dealing with the right Modath. |
glo3nity:WordPad? Please use Microsoft Word. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. |
@ Modath, kindly note. Are we chatting? |
KratosCorp:Sir, NK happens to be the most visible figure right now on the Biafra struggle. This doesn't mean we're not doing our own quota where we find ourselves. That's also the reason he must be a bit more tact now. He's no longer struggling to make a point. He has made his point and earned the popularity. But this is the time to use it judiciously You'll be surprised that there are hundreds of silent, non media, Biafra mobilizers if you truly check |
kingzizzy:Nwanne, is that how you see it? |
Before I proceed, let me say the following... First, some people will misunderstand this humble post. That's okay though. As they say, I am responsible for what I said, you're responsible for what you understand and believe. Second, I wish to reiterate that I believe in the Igbo cause. I believe in the Biafra project. In fact, I am more Biafra than some IPOB members. That said, it still behoves me to look at issues holistically and form an opinion. As a counsellor, I look at issues 360 degrees and then offer my stand. While the more emotional IPOB member may disagree with me, the more matured Igbo man and Biafran will understand what I mean. I think that Nnamdi Kanu is undoing what he has done so far by his utterances. Some of his recent utterances are causing more harm than good. It's understandable that he speaks the way he does cos he's not an elected official. But it's wrong to assume that his words do not matter, but his message. So here's why I believe this guy should take a chill pill for now. 1. HE HAS MADE HIS POINT - NK started out with dishing out all manner of hate speeches. This is not debatable as they are all on the public domain. As at then, he was not known. He was not popular. But today, he has become more popular than many Igbo politicians (no thanks to Buhari and his tyranic disposition). His words then can be overlooked, but right now, people people will pick at everything he says. They will judge him based on his words. 2. WORDS BUILD OR DESTROY - The Holy book says that death and life are in words. In the words of Yehuda Berg, "Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble." Nnamdi Kanu is now a leader. His words now count so much and can either help, build, restore, or destroy the Biafra quest. He will now be held more accountable by his words. 3. WE NEED TO BUILD BRIDGES NOW, NOT DESTROY THEM - For crying out loud, no one, individual or nation, can grow in isolation. The Biafra quest has become a great force. This is time to build bridges now. It's no longer time to throw stones and insult everyone (especially our neighbors) who made mistakes in the past. This is the time to talk and plead for alliances. Yes, some will still castigate you. But in the end, they will regret when they remember you for the hand of friendship you extended to them, which they rejected, and not thank God that they rejected you. 4. BIAFRA IS BIGGER THAN NNAMDI KANU - It's foolhardy for NK or others to think that he holds the key to the Biafra reality. NK is just a piece in the puzzle and not the entire puzzle. He is just one in the entire process. I've known extremely important Igbos in diverse places, who don't even talk online or in the media, who are pro Biafrans. I laugh when some people online say that the Biafra agitators are youths and touts. That's wrong. Many heavyweights, in many fields, are pro Biafrans. That's why NK needs to put himself in check. His words, actions and inactions can hinder or deter the entire process, years after he is no longer in the forefront. That's what he needs to realize. That's what we need to make him understand and then help him to watch his words and actions carefully. 5. IF WE WANT A PEACEFUL SECESSION, THEN WE MUST LEARN DOGGED NEGOTIATION- I find it hard to corroborate words of hate with peaceful exit from the union. You cannot say you want to exit peacefully, yet flare all embers with hateful words. Surely that's not how to exit and get your country peacefully. Every action gets an equal reaction. When you dish out words of hate repeatedly, you'll get words or war, threat to life, hate and attack back. Is that difficult to understand? I pray those who have access to Kanu to be objective with him right now. The Biafra quest must not be destroyed or relegated as some childish field plays. He has done a good job by bringing it this far. But he must not destroy it by hitting below the belt repeatedly. He has made his point. It's time to change strategy. |
cheehummer:Contact Amazon Customer support and try to get Payoneer account |
Egonne1:You don enter our thread abi? lol Anyone here selling Payoneer can contact Egonne1. She is recommended. Some of us have been selling to her for months now and she has not disappointed. Just be sure you are dealing with the real Egonne1 because some scammers can claim someone else's username. A small check or asking her to reply you, here or in the eCurrency thread will do. |
Thank you @ AncientTimes for keeping this thread alive. I was carried away with the Publishing whatsapp group. Pls read page 33 or page 32 to see how to join the whatsapp group. It's free. We will still be sharing and posting here though. I am glad that almost all your questions have been answered by AncientTimes. |
Wyttcat:You see what I'm saying. I just proved to you that the insults and online e-fights are 50/50. Use this thread as an example. It may not be used as the only judge but it can also give insight. You've thrown many jabs at me and Igbos, leaving the topic largely not responded to. Others have thrown jabs at the Igbos, without much response in that direction. Why? Because I choose not to be defined by those jabs from the onset. But chances are that others will come who will not like the way the insults are going and would want to match it back to back. If not here, in another thread Now there seems to be a feeling of "we've over powered him" in you over the thread. That's funny because in the end we've not seen superior logic, argument or historical facts from you, rather sentimental assertions based on E-fights. And that's too bad Abs by the way, I'm not new to Nairaland as you thought, at least a check on my moniker will tell you I've been here far much more than you( I may be wrong. I didn't really check). |
Wyttcat:Unfortunately I can't reply to every reply here. So bear with me if I don't quote you. Back to the topic. You see bro, you've just been saying things the way you think they are. But not following the discussion. Let me remind you again... Politics always create two groups in every dispensation. Those in support of the administration, and those not in support. Those not in support will usually do everything possible to malign the administration. It happens everywhere. I just gave you an example with US politics above. But then, That is the beauty of democracy. I'm surprised you've forgotten so soon the level insults the past administration witnessed. It was so bad that GEJ said that he has come to agree that he is the most insulted President in the world right now. It will be wrong to expect the Buhari administration to sail smoothly without these jabs here and there. The onus lies on the administration to remain focused, deliver on promises and carry everyone along |
Viergeachar:Can there be any discussion on Nairaland politics without these kinds of jabs? |
Guestlander:You still don't seem to get it bro. I think it's completely politically unhealthy to assume that the North loves the Yorubas and hates the Igbos and so wants the Igbos to leave Nigeria and form their own country. Implicitly, that has been the cry of the Igbos since time imemorial. Now they would rather help the Igbos. Is that how generous they've become? This is all politics bro. Believe me it's all politics. Even if it doesn't degenerate to coup, it's all politics. And my point is... while we all jostle over the threat and blame IPOB and Co, let's be ready for a shocker (especially when you think of the ripple effect of that threat) or begin to develop plan B |
NairalandHowTo:Let me tell you why the heat seems hotter now. Ready? Good. It's simply because Igbos and Yorubas are the two most outspoken tribes in Nigeria. They are the ones in the social media - talk about Facebook, Twitter, Nairaland, etc. So they are trying to shout each other down on Nairaland and co and so each side is taking offence and feeling insulted The Hausas? They are minority when it comes to social media patronage. I'm sure you'll agree by their number here on NL. But as for whether the hate, rants, cries, etc, they are just equal sides of the coin. And that's just how politics turns people. |
