Gov Ortom's amnesty programme has failed completely. At the beginnig of his goverment PDP chieftains were murdered nobody cared, then benefiaries of the amnesty including an APC youth leader were killed nothing happened meanwhile the state is under siege by the fulani herdsmen and dozens are killed by the day and now a senior government security officer is murdered in cold blood. The insecurity is alarming. |

Recently Gov Samuel Ortom was at the Aso Rock villa to see President Buhari in company with Senators Akume and Barns Gamade. According to media reports they were at the villa to thank PMB for appointing Audu Ogbeh minister of Agric even though they didnot go along with neither Audu Ogbeh nor his kinsmen, and to also beg the president for more appointments their Tiv tribesmen(OGBEH is Idoma). But the Governor forgot to tell the President about the bailout funds for pensioners in the state as he promised during their protest march to Government house in Markurdi the other week. Ortom had told pensioners in the state that their pensions were not captured in the #28billion bailout funds recently released to the state and promised to take their plight to the president. Apparently irk with the non appointment of his tribesman as minister the Governor forgot to tell the president this all important information. A social crusader for Commissioner of police Abubakar Tsav last week revealed that over #2.3billion was included in the released funds as bailout for pensioners. The funds are believed to have been diverted. |

Benue state Governor Samuel Ortom has disclosed that the state government will approach the Federal Government for more bailout funds to enable it pay the huge backlog of salaries and pensions after the 28 billion naira earlier released by the CBN proved inadequate. The Governor made the disclosure while addressing protesting pensioners at the Government house Makurdi yesterday. According to the Governor the bailout funds earlier accessed by the state government was not enough to pay pensioners and solicited their patience as he will be meeting the President Mohammed Buhari for more bailout loans. Pensioners in Benue were at the government house while protesting the non payment of their 8 months salary arrears. The state government has being enmeshed in a crisis with organised labour over the bailout funds provided by the FG as allegations of plans to short change civil servants by the Governor a d his cohorts. The government has only been able to pay certain categories of staff excluding those who have spent 30 years and above and those who spent less than 3years in service and teachers from the bailout raising suspicion among workers that part of the bailout funds may be embezzled. |

Read the writeup again n tell us what he wrote is wrong. Its a shame that the CAN president has became a presidential attack hound n a regional spokesman. Kudos 2 the catholics 4 pulling out of the charade called CAN. |
