It has become necessary that I chip on this unnecessary drama in the way of our Rocket Scientist of a Minister discovering a mystery camera.

The camera in question happens to be a Bosch Dinion Surveillance camera that has been discontinued (Bosch don stop to dey sell this line of cameras), so could not have been brought to the protest site by a 'protester' or security personnel as it does not operate on its own without its required AV and power attachments.

The the Bosch Dinion series have the following features:

Detail in Extreme Lighting
In harsh lighting, the difference between the brightest and the darkest parts of a scene can be extreme. To produce a clear picture in these conditions, the CCD sensor in the camera generates 2 images; one long exposure to resolve details in the scene’s darkest areas, and one short exposure to resolve details in the scene’s brightest areas.

Day/Night Mode
The day/night mode provides enhanced night viewing by increasing the IR sensitivity. The IR filter can switch from color to monochrome automatically by either sensing the illumination level or via the alarm input. The filter can be switched manually via the alarm input, through the camera menu or via the Bilinx coaxial control interface.

Ease of Installation
The lens wizard helps focus the lens at the maximum opening to ensure that proper back-focus is maintained throughout the 24-hour cycle. No special tools or filters are required.

Bilinx is a bidirectional communication capability embedded in the video signal of this camera. Installers can check status, change camera settings, and even update firmware from virtually anywhere along the video cable.(Brunclezuma - There is no need to physically remove the camera for such)

There are many settings available to help fine-tune the picture performance to match your installation environment.

Privacy Masking
Specific parts of a scene can be blocked by pre-programming any part of the scene with the help of the fifteen privacy zones provided in the camera.

Video Motion Detection
The built-in video motion detector allows you to select 4 programmable areas with sensitivity thresholds.

- Entrance foyer or lobby with glare
- Outdoor perimeters includes low light and IR light
- Traffic monitoring which includes highway, traffic intersections and emergency response coordination
- Tunnels
- Car parks (outdoor)
- Restricted access locations like prisons, ports/freight terminals, military facilities and border control and homeland
