Pls has anyone used spouse unaccompanied before? Or known someone who has? After ITA, what were your reason or reasons that you filled in your application for spouse unaccompanied. We all know the major reason we do that (for ext** po**ts) but I can't put that there. Can anyone suggest a good reason that will make sense and I hope the visa officer won't request for ADR or proof. Thanks. Suggestions pls. |
Heineken007:Hi there. A faster option would be to temporarily deactivate your face book profile till after you receive PPR. Go down to account settings and click deactivate my profile. Click I WIll be Back. It will deactivate temporarily. I do this all the time when I want to concentrate on something else. |
Revman:Lol I guess many of us on this journey feel the same way. When I started this my japa journey in 2020 nobody in my institution was even thinking of japaring. I'm still here after over 2 years. Not even an ITA or NOI. Over 200 staff in my workplace (federal university) have japaed and gone. Although 98% went to UK so that's what I use to console myself. But I weep inside. Wondering who did I offend. Why did I not start this journey in 2018 when the crs cut off was friendly. My perfect ielts expired early this year. I had already sworn I was not taking it again that canada can go and use their head to hit wall lol But when I saw more and more persons japaring from my institution even those I never thought would leave I decided to write again. I really went to the exam center with an I don't care attitude cos I was demotivated and so over the whole thing. I was even practicing on my French app while waiting for the ielts exam to start...lol.to show you how I really didn't give 2 fcks about them. Result came out 3 days later (I took the computer based test) LRSW 8.5, 9, 8, 7.5 I'm sitting at exactly your score now due to my age. I felt akin to your comment cos our scores are almost at par and we both gave up at one time. Cheers! |
2022Frustrated:Nice one. Congrats to your spouse on her new job.. You both did well in your ielts. But you guys have to get married asap because you kept saying fiancee. You need to be married to apply together. The documents to submit as a common law partner may not convince every visa officer so it's best to show a wedding certificate. Kindly change your username if you don't mind. Frustrated is not a name you want to follow you in life. 2023 favored and blessed sounds better lol |
Friendswealth:You are supposed to approach your bank with a letter of request for PTA, your intl passport, photocopy of your flight ticket about 2 weeks before your departure. I have a return ticket but didn't bother applying for pta as I'm certain they will say no forex to provide it. |
Ose333:Hello I'm using Qatar as well. Travelling in 3 days time. Fully vaccinated. Has anyone traveled with Qatar within the last one month? What should we take to the airport that will be requested before boarding. I have printed and filled the Customer Acknowledgement form Qatar sent to me. I'm carrying two copies. Carrying photo copy of my intl passport data page as well incase that is required. Photocopy and original covid vaccine cert. Am I missing out anything? Going for tourism not study or dependant. Thanks. |
giselle237:Thanks a lot. Nairaland una too much. The payment has gone through and I have received my ticket. |
JPB2:Yes I did that. Thanks. They have sent my ticket to me. |
JPB2:Thank you. Will do right now. |
giselle237:Ok thank you. I'm booking from delta state. Traveling lagos to Heathrow. Return trip. Transit in doha. I will check to see about the location thingy |
Pls help out any recent traveller. Thanks. How did you pay for your flight ticket? Via travel agent? Or our naira debit cards are working? I.e I saw a qatar flight like 550k, but it's payment by debit card? Any solutions? |
Biometrics June 28th Passport picked up August 3rd. 6 months Visa approved . Exactly 5 weeks. Ikeja TLS. One UK denial. One UK approval. One US denial (all declared). Documents submitted: Payslips, bank statements, appointment letter, letter of introduction from work, promotion letters, work ID card, family pictures, pictures of my first UK visit, letter of IV and passport bio page from sibling, bank reference letter, no landed properties or businesses. Little back story. I had POF saved up from Canada waka and just impromptly decided to apply for UK tourist visa while waiting for Canada to shake body. I'm a civil servant. Monthly take home less than 150k. Account balance over 10m. So I was skeptical if I would be given the Visa. Good thing is my statements were in order, no huge deposit at all but even at that I would say it's God that handed me this Visa even though I used spouse and kids as home ties. I didn't submit any itinerary. No paid mail as well. And I used an agent mostly because I hadn't discovered this UK travel page till it was time for my biometrics appointment. I had thought that due to the high volume of UK applications from Nigeria this year, It would become like USA Visa appointment that only agents could access dates for applicants. My first two UK applications were done by myself but that was pre-buhari when our naira debit cards could pay Visa fees. I give God all the glory. |
Nikyb:Lol we are in the same boat oh. Family of 4. No ITa. Hoping for PNP. Left POF in naira because of official conversion rate when I started this journey last year. In naira I still have the POF but my fear is what happens when it's time to Travel? Our money will be so worthless. It's a shame what our leaders have done to our naira. |
GraciousWords:Félicitations Gracious words. Je suis tellement heureuse pour toi. Grâce à Dieu. Tu as fait vraiment bien. |
Nov202011:Hello there, letter of separation won't suffice because you will be required to show full custody letters for your kids before IRCC will answer you. Sorry that's the world we live in once you have kids and the spouse is living. Best bet will be to cajole your hubby, plead with him, manipulate him or do all of the above into taking the test with you. He says he has no problem with the kids going then inform him IRCC wont stamp the kids visa if they don't see the fathers medicals. So you will have to leave the kids with him in Nigeria (even though you have no intention of doing so) with him while you go on to live a baby girl life in canada as a single lady with no children constraints. I bet you once he reasons sch runs, home work, sch lunches, market runs, daddy I want to wee wee, daddy Emeka poo on his body, daddy ifeanyi beat me (and so on and so forth) he will ask you to book medicals date for him. |
midep:Wow! This is serious oh. Sorry for the refusal. I know how exactly you feel. How can they refuse someone with 14m annual salary. It's well. I really don't blame them sha. It's our leaders I blame. I got a refusal first attempt in 2012, then an approval second attempt in 2014. I'm applying third time next week. Ikeja TLs. Booked an hotel in Ikeja as I live in Edo state. Has anyone who applied in Ikeja used Uber or Bolt to the venue? I never used any of those in my state and wondering if I should download the app or just flag down any random taxi outside the hotel. So many stories of insecurity in Lagos. What means of transportation does anybody recommend?. Thanks. |
giselle237:Thanks for your réponse. I know how to plan now. Merci |
Hello everyone please I need some answers from anyone who has submitted UK application at TLS Ikeja office. 1) those passports photographs the photographers outside usually make us snap are they still required for us to take inside when we go for biometrics. I traveled once 8 years ago and so many things have changed. I knew I had to snap passport photos outside and submit same inside. Back then documents were submitted in hard copies but now it's online. 2) are phones allowed inside the TLS building? Do they have cubicles for us to store our devices till we are through or those persons/ business people we usually pay a token to watch over our bags are still outside the building? I'm speaking from memory of 8 years ago. And I'm wondering if to leave my phone at the hotel (don't know how safe this is) or I will have somewhere to store it at TLS. Thanks everyone. I'm booked for a visit visa last week of this month. |
Dee107:Congratulations to you. God that did it for you will do mine. I'm hoping on SINP or any province to favor me. My NOC is 1241 Administrative assistant. |
MissyVee007:Hi there, what of your EE profile validity? Has it elapsed a year since you opened it? Na wa, these people should hurry up and bless us with ten's of thousands of ITA's today as so many persons have been qualified since beginning of the year but time and chance is unqualifying them. |
maziude:Thanks a lot |
onyexx:Oh thanks a lot |
maziude:Hello How were you able to open it here in Nigeria, I have followed the link you posted for national bank and like someone wrote up there they request for TIN, what is that and how did you provide it? Also, were you able to just transfer funds from your naira account to the Canadian own before you left Nigeria? |
cyrusmillz:In my opinion don't bother. You would only get 3 extra points after paying 27k to remark. Test it yourself in the crs calculator and fill in 8.5,7.5,8,7.5. |
kkk21:I believe you should choose the one that you have the most years of work experience for. Because that is the only one you can claim points for. You can include the other in personal history after receiving ITA. |
milkay:I think it's best to apply as Married but click Spouse not accompanying. You get graded as a single person, get more points for your CRS scores. Then if you make ITA whenever they resume FSW draws, you fill that spouse is not accompanying as you are separated and going through a divorce now. If you have already filed in courts by then, upload the document as proof. |
olamide34:Well I don't think I have any specific things that helped me apart from just following the instructions. For listening try not to lose concentration. My problems with reading was True, false and not given sections. I guess that what gave me 8 in reading. The part they say not more than two words, follow it. Then spellings as well. A wrongly spelt correct answer would be marked wrong. I practiced with Crack Ielts with Rob on YouTube for listening. |
Good evening everyone. I just want to share my testimony on this platform. Prayer works and we should include it in every step of this journey. I started studying for ielts in February and I took the exams in May. First and only attempt is LRSW 8.5,8,7,7. After the exams I mentally went over my speaking test and realised I didn't use variety of vocabulary and I corrected myself once, and paused twice in it. But I kept praying that "let my people go" result I.e 7 be awarded to me. God did it. I'm so grateful. I started Wes Feb as well. My institution just sent verification last week after almost a month of saying they never received the email. Wes has started analysing it. Does anybody who has walked this line know if the ECA will be out latest June ending? I can hardly wait to be in the pool because that's one step closer to out dreams. It shall end in praise for us all. Less I forget I'm at 462 points, but not resting my oars. Looking into PNPs as well as starting French lessons next month. |
aduku1:Thanks a lot for your response. I will do such. It is well with our universities |
Hello everyone. Please anyone from Uniben here? Or any Federal University can please advise me what they did when WES informed them they had sent photocopies of documents back to the school for verification. I'm stuck here. Over one month, WES emailed me that they are awaiting verification from Uniben of my transcripts and that I'm to do nothing meanwhile. How long is it supposed to take? Over five months since I started this verification of credentials. Thanks. |
phabulous88:Thank you. I was thinking in that direction as well. |
BFWestAfrican:Good evening everyone. Please I have read the screen shot from CIC website that accompanied the above quote. My question is for those of us working in a university, admin staff. Usually we write to Registrar of the University for Letter of Introduction if we are travelling out for vacations. But registrar is not our immediate boss. We have HODs and Deans. So for IRCC letter of work reference, who do I meet to issue it? My immediate supervisor I.e (HOD/Dean) or the Registrar? Both will be on University letter head. But one will bear Office of the Dean. The other will bear Office of the Registrar. It's a Federal University. Thank you. |
