i received my grant yesterday thanks to God. just checking now. thanks to everyone in the house for all your help and always ready to answer. i am forever indebted to this forum.
My question is that i am having till Friday(31st) as deadline on my extension. if i book flight today(wed) can i still use the extension at the port of entry. i dont want to be shown red card at Port of Entry.

Yea. I intend to defer so I can apply for PR cos I am very qualified for that. I found out after applying for a vocational student visa. I didn't go for medicals cos it could be an indication of the decision of the immigration . If my application is assessed and I am asked to go for medicals , my agent says it means I will be given.
well, I am waiting to hear from them as I have sent an email requesting if I should defer. I hope to hear from them this week.
You still have time . They told me assessment level 3 takes 2months so you are fine.

Bros you are not alone . I am a non svp applicant as well . I applied on 11th June . My TAFE course starts on 20 July. Induction in on 14th. Sent a mail to the case officer and they replied that they received my application on 15TH June and that it was still under assessment and that assessment level 3 takes 2months . However, I replied and asked them if I should defer the resumption considering the closeness of the resumption. I a still waiting for a response from them..

Fear ye not. Family members means wife or husband or kid's. If u don't have any u don't need to state any.
As for home ties, they want to be sure you will return back home after school that's why they ask, so unless u are applying for PR u should atleast have an existing Nigeria bank account or sometin that indicates you wanna come back to your country.

So panic not Bryanpro.

after more than 3months of waiting I got d shock of my life from Pretoria (visa denied) I Neva saw it coming... assessment level3.
reasons... (1)I didn't including any family members in my form157A
( 2)I do not have a financial or home tie to my country.
(3) d fact am single.
with some other reasons that I carefully stated it in my SOP.
am just saying this for other to learn one tin or d other.....

Your CO will contact you when he/she needs additional info from you or when he wants to give u the go ahead to do medicals. On their site it is stated that u can either do ur medicals before submission. I do not know for sure if u can go ahead now without ur CO saying so. Check again please to be sure http://www.immi.gov.au/Services/Pages/emedical.aspx

All you need do though is wait patiently. I submitted same day too and nothing yet. The wait can be terrible but.....

Are you less than 18? Cos if you are then you will need your parents to sign guardian form and all.
If you are above 18 then NO you are not suppose to include brother or sister or parents. If you are married or have a kid out of wedlock then you can include your spouse and or kid's name. Those are your family for the purpose of visa ofcourse. (Even if it's your father sponsoring you, he is not to be included in Part C family)

Bro...OSHC and COE make ur app SVP...so wait for their arrival, biko. Again only ur bio data page of passport is needed as ur grant comes into ur e-mail box as PDF. Make sure ur e-mail addy is functioning.
